Yeah, I'd love to hear what the coaches have to say. I mean is AA going to come out and say, "Well, the coaches were telling me that I sucked ass and needed to work on my coverage skills. Well as you can see, I haven't. Sucks to be me."

Sounds like something of a back-pedal, but in JLC's article today Arch claims he wasn't referring to a specific incident when he said he doesn't like to be lied to, but speaking in generalities. Apparently he was saying he expects the off-season posturing to be a bunch of nice-guy, "sorry it didn't work out" type talk, and then to be cut, and he feels that's a case of being lied to.

I'm probably one of the few guys here who still thinks this guy got the shaft and feels bad for him, but I'm not even sure I buy *that* one.

I also think that AA may have been shafted but just like he think that his coaches should have done, he himself, could have came to them and asked what he could have done to make HIS play better

I just don't get all the bashing of AA. This is a guy who takes a lot of pride in being mentally and physically prepared for the season and games. In fact, I believe he refused to have surgery a couple of years ago just to heal through natural methods. Secondly, prior to coming here you've never heard of this guy whining or expecting someone to sit him down and explain 'things' to him. He's a veteran, he knows how the NFL works. I don't think he's expecting any coddling or hand holding.

Like I said in a previous post, if this were the first time this had happened, I would chalk it up as an isolated incident, but it's not. It seems to be an on going thing at Redskins Park, whether we like the players involved or not. It seems like we have a way of alienating players and then play it down.

I'm very anxious to see how the defense responds to Gregg Williams next year.

lolol. Ill be on here time to time but a closet skins fan is far from who I am. A very close friend of mine is a Redskin fan and we talk about our fav team with each other. "like how the SS on Dallas and Washington can hit but get burnt in coverage."

you know, this is really only the 2nd time that this has happened. it's just been in back to back years with lavar and now AA. i would'nt really call it an "on going thing" at redskins park. just two isolated incidents of two
players who got their feelings hurt by this coaching staff because they were benched in favor of less popular players.

Benching you because you suck isn't really nice, but it's life.

He wants out of Washington, and bitching (ie.. lavar) is the perfect way to do it) ...

He's wants to compete, and sometimes a change in atmosphere is the best way for a fresh start.

I think that Archuleta deserves a lot of credit. When Lavar was made the scapegoat, he couldn't keep his mouth shut. When the Redskins were making a run last year, what was the big news? Lavar bitching and moaning.

The coaches deserve as much if not more criticism than AA. The entire league knew he couldn't cover and they knew that he didn't have the physical skills that he displayed at the combine. He was deadset on going to the Bears but Williams sold him on us and Snyder agreed to grossly overpay him.

The guy did what every one of us would have done, he took the millions. And now he gets to leave the best marketing firm in the NFL.

not everyone thought he was an upgrade, but everyone did think that he was overpayed. If we hadn't signed any of those big deals last year, we would have been much better off. More cap room, less issues. You can't afford to miss on deals that big, and we went 0/4 (or .5, .5, 0, and 0, if you give partial credit).

Peirce...Lavar...Coles...Ramsey...Baily...Trotter. All said the same and are all in the Playoffs.AA will not be with the Skins next year but that won't change what happen to him ....Duckett also.

Champ is not going to the playoffs. LaVar is on IR and he and Pierce are both going to be watching after they lose next week. Ramsey was dropped to third string and will be cut by the end of the season... so what's your point?
