No. I like the fact that our #1 and #3 QBs are young, and Zorn will be teaching them how to play the WCO from the ground up. I can't imagine Zorn teaching Favre anything at this point.

I'm really excited about this offense after having suffered through numerous losses when we stopped trying to score with a lead in the 2nd half. If Zorn is anything, I expect him to be aggressive.
well said. as risky as this hire was, one thing i don't think we'll see is that conservative ass play calling we've seen the last 4 years.
What playoff team would want him? TB? He's not going to push them over the top cause they're not good enough to begin with. So what other playoff team would want him?
TB won 9 games and was a playoff team last year even with Garcia missing a few starts and parts of other games. I think Favre would definitely put them on the short list of strong contenders in the NFC.

The only way this is possible from a cap standpoint is if the Skins get Favre to completely renegotiate his deal, including a significant pay reduction.

Even if they gave him a $12 million bonus (to equal his salary for this season and avoid having him take a pay cut), they'd have to give him a 5 year contract to make it fit under the cap. Won't happen.

Gotta love their reasoning:
Jim Zorn is the new coach of the Redskins, and he’ll be using a version of the West Coast offense. Favre has been running the West Coast offense for his entire career.

Also, Redskins owner Dan Snyder has a history of targeting big-name players, and of giving up draft picks to get them.
... Zorn will be using a QB ... Favre is a QB! Redskins have signed QBs in the past! The writing is on the wall...

i'm afraid a one year removal from our days of rampant free agent spending and fantasy team-style trading is not long enough escape this type of wild speculation.

having said that, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND ALL THAT IS HOLY, PLEASE LET THIS BE JUST ANOTHER BULL$#!T FABRICATION BY THE FIENDISH INTERNET RUMOUR MONGERERS!

ahem... that is all.

actually I'd say it's been 2 years, the year before we went out and got FA's like Fletcher and Smoot. Not exactly guys that broke the bank and they were guys that we knew would be good fits.

Really, when you think about it there is 6 degrees of separation w/ about any team. It's just all guessing-conjecture at this point.

Favre played for Holmgrem-Zorn coached for Holmgren-therefore Favre must be going to the redskins.
Like it or not until the dust settles and he signs with a new team we're going to hear rumors about the Redskins being a possibility. As I said I don't see it happening but I don't think it can be completely ruled out. A few weeks ago some people were convinced that Favre coming back at all was out of the question.
I am completely ruling this out. There is not a qualified source of information here. Remember the night you went to sleep believing Al Gore won the election? Another case of presumptive reporting. It would not be prudent or feesible in my mind to bring him on to this team, and I don't think he would need a PLUS in the locker room.

His act is old. He throws too many interceptions, and he has not truly proven to be a leader in his behavior over the past three seasons. I wish he would shut up a go away. He has nothing else to do. Do you really think they would allow him on TV? Have you heard this guy talk. Maybe he should do a Catfish show in Mississippi. That will occupy his time.

It is getting old and really it is putting a poor light on his career. Why is he bashing GB now?

Sounds like someone needs to learn to grow up and realize the NFL and GB are bigger then him.

I hope he never comes here.
