If he's ready to play, he's ready to play.

Why?

Maybe we should wrap him in bubble wrap and just sit him on a shelf for show.

skinsfaninok 09-02-2013 07:54 PM

Yeah I think we should start pat white

Sorry, my sarcasm wasn't obvious enough. Watching RG warm and practice all preseason you knew there was no way in hell anything would hold him back from starting.

I'm beyond excited for this season, just praying our man plays smart, coaches call smart plays, and the gods favor us :)

The key moment in that video is Kyle stating for the whole world to hear the read option works because the QB is a running threat. Couldn't even begin to count how many posts here tried to argue against that simple fact all last season, hopefully it can be put to bed now and forever.

The question is how much do they plan to use RG as a runner. Given his already terrible injury history, the new NFL rules about running QBs and the way all defenses will target him I think still using the read option is beyond irresponsible.

It's really concerning how Kyle admitted he relied on RG as a runner to minimize blitzes and pressure. Hopefully pass protection and scheme are improved this season, so we have a "sustainable offense" if you will.

Of course the read option works because of the threat of the QB running. Who argued against that?

It's been said all offseason but RGIII holds his health in his own hands for the most part. Get down or get out of bounds should be all that's going through his head for the rest of his career once he leaves the pocket.
