Re: Around the NFL week 17
From what I've seen of Flacco he seems to be playing with less conservatism than of old. And he's built a great rapport with Cooper and Njoku. Some of his passes to those guys have been top drawer. Again, they've got momentum going into the playoffs. Whoever they come up against better not take them lightly. Flacco could very well retire after his, whether they do well or not, so may well take chances he otherwise would avoid. Chances he's taken so far have worked out...
The Browns have a good defense. However, I'm not buying into the second coming of Joe Flacco. He has won 3 in a row, but he has beaten Trevor Siemian, Justin Fields, Davis Mills, & Case Keenum...not a possessed Lamar Jackson.
They already beat them in a game where Watson sucked. |

TH is simply a backup QB. Nothing more. Nothing less. I would love to have him on the bench, but not as a starter. |

Not sure we'll ever get to the bottom of that, as it's a classic 'he said/(s)he said' scenario. Why I agree with officials being miked up. But judging how Skipper (#70) was raging about 'not saying anything' as he went back to the side-line, he's either a very good actor or the ref screwed up. And given that Allen's team already has black marks against it this season, I'm more inclined to side with Detroit. But the result stands so... I almost feel like wishing we beat Dallas next week, just to shaft them for the playoffs. But that #2/3 pick is way too valuable to risk. |

Yeah, Lamar didn't play well in that game either. As they say - any given Sunday. I'll still take the Ravens at home in the playoffs against anyone at this point. |
