Re: The Official Redskins vs. Bears Game Thread
Abstract Irreducible knee dislocation due to incarcerated soft tissue structures in associated fractures is extremely uncommon. We report a case of irreducible, closed dislocation of the knee secondary to incarcerated patellar tendon in a Hoffa fracture (unicondylar fracture of femur in the coronal plane) with associated communited fracture of patella and disruption of both cruciates. We treated this case initially with open reduction and internal fixation of fracture and repair of the patellar tendon. During the total followup period of eighteen months, the patient had restricted joint range of motion with no joint instability despite aggressive physiotherapy and further surgical intervention. The prognosis of such complex knee injuries with combination of ligamentous injuries and associated fractures is much worse when compared to either injuries alone.
Somebody stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night!

Yup. Sean made those same mistakes. You have the ability to hit hard and scare people, you get a little too anxious to throw your body.

Did anyone just see that graphic? Skins defense haven't given up a touchdown in nine quarters? Longest stretch since 1986?

Bears are suffering from an acute case of Second-Half-Redskinitis. I guess they caught it from us.

Yes--let's wait for the MRI--if just a dislocation that would be better...

Re: The Official Redskins vs. Bears Game Thread

kneecap popped back into place, but that has nothing to do with the patella tendon right?

DynamiteRave 12-06-2007 10:30 PM

Re: The Official Redskins vs. Bears Game Thread

Portis has a stomach injury? What the hell is a stomach injury?

Did the team forget to each their spinach today?

AlvinWalton'sNeckBrace 12-06-2007 10:30 PM

Re: The Official Redskins vs. Bears Game Thread

I'm pretty sure the kneecap is INSIDE the patella tendon
kneecap popped back into place, but that has nothing to do with the patella tendon right?
Know the Patellar tendon was stretched out and the kneecap popped out of joint. It wasn't lateral force but forward and away from the knee

NYCSkin 12-06-2007 10:32 PM

Re: The Official Redskins vs. Bears Game Thread

The patella is the kneecap. It is fixed in place by the patellar tendon...

pg86 12-06-2007 10:32 PM

Re: The Official Redskins vs. Bears Game Thread

SHIT Portis is probably done and we just gave them great field position. come on D

That's a touchdown by the way.

pg86 12-06-2007 10:35 PM

Beemnseven 12-06-2007 10:36 PM

Re: The Official Redskins vs. Bears Game Thread

You'd think they'd stop throwing at Springs. He's had good coverage, even when they're completed against him

Bozzy 12-06-2007 10:38 PM

Re: The Official Redskins vs. Bears Game Thread

It was definitely a touchdown. good call.
