John Elway was a crybaby too and threatened to play baseball if he didn't get drafted by the right team. Same stunt Eli pulled. Cutler's a baller. He was one of 3 QBs to throw for 4500 yards and more than 25 TDs last year and the Broncos wanted to trade him for Tom Brady's backup. Hell yeah he's pissed.
McDaniels has the opportunity to pull the Herschel Walker trade and get a ton of picks from the Jets, Browns, and/or the Bucs. Yet he's going to send Cutler to Washington for lesser compensation (lesser to the Broncos compared with what they could get from these other teams; yet this compensation will be a big price to pay for Washington), just so he is out of the AFC.
Da Bears, in the NFC, could get him, too, although only if the Broncos did not demand a good qb in return.

Exactly, I would feel the same way if I went too work tomorrow and found out they tried to send me two thousand miles away. Also, every Campbell supporter takes it so personally that some fans want Cutler. Hey Campbell is a stand up guy, great in every intangible, but he just cant get the ball to his receivers and thats probably not going to change.

Imagine if we had a GM with Balls.
He'd tell Snyder to stop smoking crack and making PR mistakes that cause retention and coaching problems with all this garbage....who is Cutler's agent?
Is Snyder trying to get the guy a big payoff or something?
It is something he has be accused of before.

It doesn't matter what happens in this deal...it is just like Cincy last year and Williams the year before...all post Gibbs...Its not just the FA and drafts that measure a quality FO...it is the intangibles...like this sorta crap.

I must say, as much as I am slamming on Cutler's character, the Broncos have f'ed up themselves, so I'm giving Cutler the benefit of the doubt. I still don't agree with his reaction, but I do think McDaniels is f'ing up too. My friend who's a Broncos fan is hating every second of this saga.

Just the fact that they are pent up all day in Snyders office really effin irks me for the following reasons.

1. Why the hell is Snyder involved in this crap...Don't say because of money because as of now there should be no contract talks being spoken of. It shows me that he's WAY TOO involved with the personnel process.

2. The FO is still focusing on trying to improve skill positions instead of our real issue, which is OL. They won't have a way of improving the OL this year if they trade our goods for Cutler.

3. The FO has already said that they are not making any move that involves Cutler and this is obviously contradicts every thing they've said. If you don't want people to know your business, just CLOSE YOUR MOUTH!...the FO just seems really inept with how they handle these high profile situations.

I'm not as down on Cutler as others are, so under the right circumstances, I'm not going to flip a lid if he came here. That said, I still don't think this is where he ultimately ends up (that's just my opinion though). But either way, I don't think Campbell is the future here. I don't agree with it, I think it will be a mistake to let him go. But, as much as Redskins coaches and execs may sing his praises in public, the truth is he has limited support (even from teammates) since even before he got hurt two seasons ago. Bears would love to get him, but they probably have less to offer than we do.

The top trade rumor out there is a 3-way that gets Cutler to Detroit, Quinn to Denver, and picks to Cleveland (and picks to Denver and Detroit as well)

It should be noted that contrary to popular belief, Cutler would actually kind of like the idea of playing in Detroit (he and Calvin Johnson are rumored to be pretty close, I think they share the same agent)

Yeah, unfortunate situation for them no doubt. You hire in a hotshot young coordinator to be a head coach, look forward to your pro bowl qb maybe carrying you to the playoffs after some defensive moves, and bam.. here you are questioning all 3 of those..

I can't recall what exactly they've said in the past about Cutler. But I don't think we've heard anything from today. But by the same token, how do you feel about the Broncos saying he's available for a trade (assume you were a Broncos fan for a moment)

saying you're not interested stops the overinflation of value before you're ready for a move

did we ever say we weren't interested.. or just that we weren't actively pursuing?

Yeah, I'd like to think they're pretty reliable. I'm not saying his teammates dislike him, or even that it's all his teammates. Just that the organization hasn't rallied around him the way you'd like to see. Some think it's Campbell's fault to an extent, because of the way he is. That's the key to whole thing right there. I've been saying it since day one of this fiasco. Cutler for Campbell straight up is a no brainer. But that's obviously never happening. It's all about how much we give up. In this case upgrading the QB position doesn't necessarily equate to upgrading the Redskins as a whole. And improving the TEAM (not wearing blinders and pigeon-holing all kinds of needs for one guy), should be the overall focus at all times.

And that's what it should be. It makes great sense for all teams involved. I mean, what would make the most sense would be for Cutler and McDaniels to kiss and make up, but we all know that's not possible. So given the current situation, this is a great move.

Quinn is a far better prospect that Cassell ever was. McDaniels could potentially make him damn good.

Agreed...Campbell's leadership is exemplified when he stands tall in the pocket to deliver a strike even though a LB is inches away from crushing him cuz the line evaporated into thin air w/ "hut" and afterward Jason just picks himself up w/o complaining. I'll take his kind of leadership over the loudmouth any day of the week and twice on Sunday...but of course the quiet, non-flashy types don't create as much dollar value for the franchise as the other kind

For me, its Cutlers alleged alcohol abuse. A diabetic has no business drinking alcohol AT ALL, let alone in the amounts Cutler is reported of as drinking. It also shows a pattern of self-destructive behavior. Cutler is too risky of a move.

That said, if we did trade a plethora of picks for Cutler, the Skins could make up for it by trading Campbell to Chicago for Briggs, straight up... oh wait, thats impossible, nevermind.

No OL help in the draft and the loss of stability.

Stability is something that Joe Gibbs put a lot of effort into when he came here. I don't want us go back to major wholesale personnel changes on a yearly basis because no one has the balls to stand up to Dan's wonderlust.

I won't cry a river if JC leaves. For me it's what we'd have to give up. We need starting caliber talent at tackle and OLB right now. Like yesterday. Giving up our top pick(s) craps on our chances at a guy like Oher, who we can agree we'd both love in B&G.

I don't know what Cutler would do to our '09 cap, but it I'm sure it would hinder our ability for more FA O-lineman or OLBs to go with the picks we'd have to shed to pick him up.

Lets Take Cutler, I love Campbell (great guy) but hes not a franchise QB. Hes a solid good quarterback that i hope has a great career. But his contract is ending and id much rather go with a kid who has some growing up to do but can carry this team for years to come. If we have the right veteran leadership and core guys (which i think we do)they can groom cutler into the elway we didnt get
