I wish we could ship his ass out but that's not going to happen. Unfortunetly the guy is way better than anyone else at his position on the team
Not to mention he is better than just about every other d-lineman in the league. |
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
Yeah he is so good that he half assed it when he did get PT. I would rather have 1 over achiever in place of 11 under achievers.

So you would rather have Golston over 92? I guess we will agree to disagree. |
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
And another thing, he was bitching about being out there in the 3rd quarter. I thought that he was so dominant that he should have just blasted through the second and third team opposition. Your so called top D lineman in the NFL got handeled, punked, and bitch slapped by a bunch of guys who might not even start or make the squad. Later on they are going to go home and have their way with his alleged baby's momma.

Lol. What game were you watching? Btw, when your NT is getting at least a double team on every play and is still moving towards the QB, that is typically a good thing. |

It shouldn't matter he is superman or the 100 million dollar man or whatever. BTW I am going to put you in the same boat as poster Gus Frerote. Apparently we see 2 different things when watch the same game. AH was not trying and was getting punked. I have the game recorded. I will even brush off my couch and have my wife serve you hors devours as you watch this game in its entirety. If when the game is over and you still feel the same way I will offer up my children as your personal servants. AH is a lazy ass underachieving punk. For the 5000th time his deal is 4 for 48 but the biggest litmus test out there is when someone calls him the 100 million dollar man. Stephen Davis signed a "100 Million dollar" deal too. You think he collected it? It is easy to be jealous of Al and get pissed off at him for speaking his mind but the FRONT OFFICE is who empowered him. At the end of the day no matter what you say and no matter what he says he is the best defensive lineman on the team. If you can't see that, I really don't want to see what your wife looks like. |

love him or hate him, he's ours for the immediate future. we need to accept it and hope he comes to play once the regular season starts.

Your exactly right, just absolutly sux. If his attitude would change from being the biggest asshole alive, we could probabley be a top 5 deffense. As long as his attitude sux, it will hold us back. Im glad Bruce finally has the reigns on this team and Vinny and dumb ass Danny Boy has taken a back seat so in the future we wont have pricks like this take the field. HTTR |

Me and Pocket in the same boat huh? Not bad company!! And for the record, I bullshit at least 50% of the time, meaning I just shoot from the hip. No fun just agreeing with everyone all the time. I still think bringing in Gus as #3 QB wasn't as crazy as you guys think it was, no BSing there. Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
On a side note the one thing I hate about these Baltimore-DC games is I feel like I have to choose a city. I grew up in the DMV area when the teams were the Washington Bullets, Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards, and Baltimore Orioles. We never had to choose. I love both cities and feel weird having to claim one, almost like I'm part of a gang. Ironically if two teams hadn't moved my teams today would probably be the Bullets, Caps, Senators, and Colts.
I personally always hope the Ravens and Nats do well except when they play the Skins and Orioles. Is anyone else the same way or am I insane? By the way, if you live in New York how do you choose to root for the Jets or Giants? I can understand the Yankees and Mets since their stadiums are separate and if all else fails you can just choose the team closer to your borough, but obviously the Giants and Jets share a stadium. |

I really like some players on the Ravens. Michael Oher, Anquan Boldin, Ray Rice, Troy Smith, Ed Reed, Tom Zbikowski to name a few. Plus I like Harbaugh as a head coach. I've got no beef with the Ravens. And I grew up an O's fan, but I was born in DC. Unless the Nats are playing the O's, I'm all for them. That said, I hope Strasburg's arm is ok. |

I think we actually played fairly well in the 1st half. Considering this is a new offense with a new QB. Truthfully, it was 6-3 at the end of the 1st half with starters against starters. How often is a fake punt going to happen in the regular season? I like the chemistry that Moss and Cooley are developing with Mcnabb. 200 yds on the starting defense for the Ravens? Pretty good if you ask me. Plus, Portis seems to be playing much better then LJ looked last night. LJ missed a block last night and about got Donovan killed. He also looked very sloppy in the running game as well. The offensive line looked a little sloppy but 3 new starters with only a couple of months of practice against a pretty elite defensive team. Personally, this game just made me feel even more positive about the team this year and for years to come. |

Per Aaron Wilson: Donovan McNabb was limping earlier with an ankle injury. Didn't seem very serious.
You know that Aaron Wilson is actually a reporter, he's not from the Ravens, right? |

looking at the b-more sun they too were not impressed with their teams performance.last year i went to this game in b-more and trust me there was zero positives to take away this team has improved.

Thats what I meant. Sorry for not being clear. I would have said the same thing if I was talking about the Redskins from another teams perspective. For example "It took a guy from the Redskins to tell me what I wanted to know. Per Jason Reid." |

I agree. I also saw in the recap on both yahoo and espn that they called mcnabb's passes erratic lol. He definitely had a few get away from him including the int, but weren't there around 4-5 drops including the td to Davis? I think both groups of starters played pretty good except for the running game which couldn't get consistent blocking. The starting d would have also had a couple sacks if Orakpo and others weren't almost getting their jerseys ripped off on some plays. |

Yea, im watching the game again today on NFLN. In the first two series there were 3-4 drops. Coming from last year im totally impressed after this game. 1st quarter was all about the Skins and u gotta think this was against a top tier team in the AFC. It's not like either team was just out there going through the motions either. The 1st half seemed to be played like a regular season game. The refs certainly missed a lot of holds against the Ravens. I was surprised they let that many go. |
Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
I got to say last night was a body bag game for the redskins;
Trent Williams gets a bruised elbow Kareem Moore our starting FS gets a sprained MCL, and could be out up to 6 weeks... Mike Sellers gets a knee/leg injury McNabb got whooped in the pocket at times last night Jamaal Brown played one series and left, I hope he didn't re injure his hip. |

Gus, it was wrong for me to even drag you into the whole ordeal. After your response I went back an read some more of your posts and suprisingly enough I agree with many things that you say. I will have to double check though because it could have been the alcohol. I still swear that we don't see the same things when we are watching the game though. Needless to say you are not mindnumbingly retarded. GMScud thanks for having my back, I will walk through a dark alley with you any day. Re: Redskins vs. Ravens, Pre-Season Game 2, Gameday Thread
Those refs last night sucked and seemed like they where paid by the Ravens. With 25 seconds left in the half number 53 for the Ravens got preasure on McNabb and as he hit him through a forearm at his head. The ref was just standing there and let that go along with all the hoding plays. Not sure who 53 is but FU and I hope you go down on a cheap hit.
Why would you be all Washington except for football had the Colts stayed around?
My Dad grew up a Colts fan, if the Colts hadn't moved he would still be rooting for them today. When I started watching sports at around 5 or 6 years old I would simply root for the teams my Dad rooted for. His teams growing up were the Colts, Senators, and Bullets, he was never really much of a hockey guy. By the time I came along it was all about the Redskins, Orioles, and Bullets. Though ironically I was a Bulls fan until I moved to Chicago. I really don't get the whole DC vs Baltimore thing. As far as I'm concerned I was fortunate enough to grow up near two awesome cities. Even though my Dad tells me that I went to DC numerous times, most of my childhood memories involve going to Baltimore seeing as how I had an Uncle that lived there along with the fact that it was always easier to get tickets to Oriole games. |
Ahh got it.. weird that he was Bmore for fb and Wash for baseball when each city had a team
Actually never mind. My Dad grew up a Redskins, Senators, and Bullets fan. So in reality the only Baltimore team that he was a fan of was the Bullets. He always liked the Colts and admired the players they had on their teams but he was always a Redskin fan (ironically not much different for me with Ravens) . For some weird reason he rooted for the Phillies after the Senators left, in part because he could pick them up on some distance radio station. However being a baseball fan he eventually developed a love for attending games on a regular basis and he liked how the Orioles continued to play well even after loosing a lot of their players so around 1973 he started rooting for the O's. Man you think you know a person. |
