Lol. I know. I kinda flipped out. I really wanted Paea earlier and I've been bitter ever since
Paea had a bursa sac knee injury and had surgery in January. I don't know how bad that is but I don't like having a big guy with knee injuries. |
Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
Hats off to the Shan/allen team for getting our draft picks back.

Food for thought: to trade up to take Paea, the Bears just used the 4th round pick the Ravens think should be theirs. 1 minute ago |
Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
All you guys bitching about the trade downs ...
After the top 5, everything is a crap shoot. Maybe we get some draft gems out of this, maybe we are passing on some of 'em. Since I don't have a crystal balll to tell which is which, I'll take a trade down or two and increase the number of darts I throw. we now have 11 picks including three in the first two rounds (and note, we didn't trade our early 2nd). Good job FO! |
Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
LeShoure is gone to the Lions
|
Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
Lions are loaded

Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
Mallett with the #62? LOL.
|
Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
They need to draft starter caliber prospects, not just camp scrubs. Why trade down for low round picks who will never see the field? That's what UDRFAs are for. Mallet's value is through the roof right now but, does he fit on a team that hasn't showed a willingness or ability to improve it's pass protection?
|
Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
The Lions are having a dope draft.......no more trading back Skins, lets make our picks....not tryna have 28 6 round draft picks. Lets start grabbing some of this talent before it really starts dwindling off....
|
Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
We are trading down cuz of the McNabb thing. We cant keep f-ing it up every year.

It is crazy to see all of these former players who are much trimmer than their playing days.

Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
Good for Torrey Smith, gets picked up by the Ravens in the 2nd round. I hope he does well there. Go Terps!

Well suppose a player we have high thoughts on falls to low 3rd, we possibly could trade the 4th back, and a fifth, not have lost anything and still gotten a player we value. Or like JR pointed out, the more darts you throw, the better shot at hitting (unless you cluster three WR/TEs late in the 2nd) |
Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
Two D players drafted and more picks.. Good job Skins
|
Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
We haven't even tapped into FA so there is plenty of room to do our thing today. So chill you few doubters. HTTR!!!!!!

Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
Late 2nd late 4th, late 5th. A 3rd, 5th, 6th IMO. I'd prefer marvin austin.
You can consider them whatever you want, but guess what - they are a 2nd, a 4th and a 5th. As for Austin: "Characterized by those close to the team as 'talented, but selfish.'" Add that to his 2010 suspension and I am pretty sure he didn't fit with the FO's clear plan to build with guys who's notes read "team player, willing to do the dirty work". Good Job FO. We started this draft with 8 picks and we are coming out of it with 11, including three in the first two rounds. |
Re: 2011 Draft Thread Rounds 2-3
Ok. All I ask for is the kicker Alex Henery in the 5th or 6th.

You are right. All players drafted after the middle of the second round are crap. Just ask Tom Brady. |
