I don't see it happening, for what it's worth.
Yep, I knew it was just something you heard. And I love reading rumors even when they don't make sense. |
Re: Coaching Changes
GW's contract is up and he would like to reunite with Fisher. And his title would probably be Assistant Head Coach
|
My first thought.....
"Were putting the band back together" lol. Second thought..... Isn't fischer a WCO style of HC and he's gunna use a non WC style of offense? Last thought was..... It really didn't work out well the first time around why would anyone bring in GW and A.Saunders to work together again? and why would GW want to leave a SB contending team to go work for a non SB contending team? at the same position?
Fo show homie!! Being a DC with Drew Brees and that offense having your back, DC in New Orleans should be one of the best jobs in the NFL |

Any news on another Redskins coach being let go today? |

don't know

Re: Coaching Changes
So...interesting rumor out of Miami. Fisher's DC may be Gregg Williams. His OC Al Saunders. And yup you guessed it, a certain QB from Oakland
Makes a lot of sense. Miami has some nice pieces in place. I assume JC would have to compete with Chad Henne. I'm ALWAYS rooting for Jason Campbell |

Henne is rumored to be going to the Jets with Sparano. Still very early though. Campbell's been associated with the Browns, Bills, and Seahawks as well |

That part of the rumor makes perfect sense and I could see it happening... |

Why would Gregg Williams make a lateral coaching move from a great franchise to a bad one? |

$$ cha-ching $$ He's buddies with Fisher too, so that could have something to do with it. |

Edit: sorry SS didn't see your follow up comments. Well I guess for Assistant Head coach it could be worth it for Williams, but if his defense plays well through these playoffs I would think he could possibly be in line for another shot at HC? |
Re: Coaching Changes
...and I don't think it's fair to say Williams and Saunders really had their shot in DC. Offensively it was a strange concoction of Gibbs, Saunder and JC, which just never seemed to fire on all cylinders. When JC got injured we saw more of what the Saunders offense would really have looked like with Collins at Qb.
...personally I still think Danny should have made Williams HC, obviously defensive oriented, and Saunders the OC after Gibbs retired for good. Saunders would have likely started Collins in '08 and over time JC would observe how the offense worked. Whether Jason could actually learn to execute it is a whole nuther enchilada. Off soapbox. |
Re: Coaching Changes
Ok so what college team has a WR position coach that would be good here? Preferably one with a college team that put up a ton of yards with their WR's.
and are there any WR coaches with any other NFL team that we could bring on board? |
Re: Coaching Changes
Sure would help to get some WRs first.
|
Re: Coaching Changes
We may not have a dominant WR1 but I think for the most part our WR's are fine and we will see that when we get better QB play.

WRs are largely so raw.. just good athletes in college. Not many colleges have a stable of crisp somewhat complete receivers.. most don't even have someone capable of being a number 2 or 3 in the league |

We have some solid guys but we need playmakers. Hopefully Hankerson can be that type, but I hope we add another WR. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I agree w matt we need another proven wr I'd like to get bowe big fan of his

Re: Coaching Changes
I'm sorry for the confusion, I'm thinking of who will be hired to be the WR coach? I was wondering what coaches are available to fill that position from other NFL teams and who is a good coach for that position from the college ranks?
I'm not talking about the WR's themselves. But I did like the "we need to get some WR's first" comment. Lol. |

Check out post #314 and #315 in this thread.. |
Re: Coaching Changes
Cowpokes hired Bill Callihan as oline coach and oc. I would have gotten nervous if it was Harry Callihan.
|
Re: Coaching Changes
Could the Vikes offer the DC position to Morris?
AdamSchefter Adam Schefter Jaguars defensive coordinator Mel Tucker turned down an offer from the Minnesota Vikings to remain in Jacksonville as the DC. |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Maybe we already have a potential playmaker besides Hank and he just hasn't been given a chance. I'd like to see one of the guys that we already have turn in the next Victor Cruz. |

Ross pretty much blew it if he truly wanted Fisher.

Miami Is a joke of an organization right now, they are just bad all around and no one wants that job apparently

Word is he wanted a qb in place.. buuuut .. he does have 3 months to decide if he is his guy.. and a hell of a pick to trade out of if he is.. or stick with if not.. can't hate that scenario |
Re: Coaching Changes
It means that RG3 will be available at the #3 spot.
Not necessarily, it means that Cleveland can trade up to 2 and St. Louis can go to 4th and still get Blackmon or Kalil. |

Ross is a douche bag. He made a ass of himself during the lockout and most Dolphin fans I know can't stand him. |
