Also, hearing we may be talking to Anthony Collins
Ehh ok good but Winston= problem solved. Why do the redskins want to ignore him? |

Yup. See the NFL FA thread. |

Maybe he's the one doing the ignoring. |

Wayne seemed ready for Miami but that tells me Manning said no to them which means most likely he's a bronco and Wayne didn't wanna play out there. |

Also, hearing we may be talking to Anthony Collins
I liked him back in 2008 before the draft. What role do they have in mind for him? Doesn't seem like a regular starter. |

It would seem that Winston is seeking $$$$ and we can tie up only so much in that tackle position. |

We could have given him that money before we gave 2 (or 3) WR's $$$$. He's worth the $. We can just trade Jamal Brown to houston for next to nothing or some other team. I also heard Trent needs to restructure to get London here. |

Most likely they don't want to have say 12 mil tied up at the RT position. We all know the cost of cutting Brown this year. As much as this whole thing makes perfect sense, I just don't see it happening because of the cost. You are completely right though. Winston = A couple of good to great Ts for some time. But also very expensive. |

Even if we trade him? |
Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
If Eric Winston is looking to be overpaid, the rest of our roster and cap do not matter. Our FO has been good about not overpaying for people and I congratulate them on that.
|
Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
Winston has like 10 teams after him, he is like the PM of RTs right now.
On a side note pretty cool to see that Josh Wilson is reaching out to Fletch on Twitter about coming back. |
Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
I wonder how he is ranked so high?
"The only thing I know is that Anthony Collins wasn't involved in anything at all," Lewis said. "The other thing (the investigation of Simpson), I'm not allowed to comment about anything so we'll just move forward and get ready to play football." Collins just happened to be at Simpson's house at the time of the delivery. Fri, Sep 23, 2011 09:17:00 AM This comment in made in conjunction with the raid on Jerome Simpson's home when he was busted for a large amount of marijuana. I don't think we need another OL guy with a possible legal problem. |

We are definitely looking thin there. But people seem to be forgetting our new DB coach, Raheem Morris. Hes a great DB coach and i have faith he will get the best out of what we have come the regular season. |

I hate to say it, but Terrence Newman wouldn't be bad short term solution. |

I watched Newman seemingly get burned.more than.hall last year... and in the past .. ALOT .. I wouldn't be too.keen on that

Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
Right now the biggest need is S, I would look towards the draft with the 3rd rounder and hope to either resign Atogwe or Landry, possibly convert Barnes to S.

Winston failed his physical by the Texans, that's why they cut him. Apparently he just had ankle surgery. I'm guessing that Kubiak may have given a heads up to Shanny to beware. |
Re: 2012 Redskins Free Agency Tracker
Brandon Merriweather coming here today... according to Schefter

Finally a safety
Winston failed his physical by the Texans, that's why they cut him. Apparently he just had ankle surgery. I'm guessing that Kubiak may have given a heads up to Shanny to beware.
Most people would fail a physical given soon after surgery, I've been reading it was ankle surgery and that he'll be fine in 2 weeks. |
