Um, their research led them to wait out for those guys you mentioned until the very late rounds, rounds in which most of the players taken in those rounds do not last long in the NFL.

Now, if you had read the projections on Capers, he would have been a FOURTH rounder, not a 7th. The FO thus defied "the masses" desires and avoided a reach.

Lol. I like taking risks too - calculated risks. The best thing about risk taking is that sometimes you win. The bad thing is that sometimes you lose. If you lose, [I]what is the consequence of losing[/I]? If the consequence is too high, then you had better not go "all in" especially if the wife and kids depend on that cash. I do however think that it is a flaw not to ever take [I]calculated[/I] risks, especially if you can live with the consequence of losing. I am assuming that the possibility of him not being there later was too heavy a consequence for the FO but I really don't know without being there.

We get an A grade just for getting RGIII alone.

Fun fact about the Packers' draft in 2005 is that only three of the guys they picked were worth a damn during their Super Bowl run: Rodgers, Poppinga, and Nick Collins. But no one seems to be saying they didn't draft well in 2005. ;)

A shift from a relatively sedantary lifestyle due to not being able to play football for a year to getting back into the athelete's regiment(and getting away from mom feeding him). I see nothing particularly concerning here.

LB depth is a concern. 4th rounders and lower are likely depth players, they should at least be open to taking a LB just to get another option to look at. Corners, on the other hand, probably won't make a big difference compared to the ones we already have.

Guy could work. A trade on the smaller side but he could overcome it. Watched some of his combine tape and he didn't really look athletic enough to play in the Z B S. But I am sure the scouts have watched more tape then I have.

Not really. I mean the Cowboys secondary was apparently terrible last year and the Eagles remain committed to the wide 9, aka the worst defensive system in all of football. Redskins were pretty good but not great. The Giants were terrible until the playoffs came around.

I said bloodthirsty, not good in all facets. They may give up a ton of yards and points, but the NFC east can still punish quarterbacks thanks to having quality players in the front 4 and front 7.

The wide 9 can work, when they players aren't complete greenhorns to the system and you have the horses to run the system. Detroit and Tennessee are two examples.

I love it too. Somehow, if you don't know every single of the more than 200 picks, the guy isn't worth it.

From what i've read, some people had him in the 3rd, some 4 and some later. I think that is to be expected with the later rounds: analysis of each player becomes a lot more subjective.

And let's not forget, we got a 7th rounder!!!
