Re: Redskins vs Bengals Gameday Thread
As skins fans we should feel a bing of pain when we watch dalton. Could have had him and kept our future 1's
I didn't think Dalton has been that good. Just that the one thing our D has been good at this season, is making other team's QBs look great.
That's another argument against giving up so many picks. But I dunno. If Griffin really is that great QB we've been lacking, this pain may be worth it if we can build around him. Even if losing those 1s still hurts. edit: Looked up Dalton. (From wiki) Dalton is the only quarterback in NFL history not drafted in the first round to start all 16 games of his rookie season, much less start his team's playoff game as well. Dalton became just one of five rookie quarterbacks with over 3,000 passing yards and at least 20 touchdown passes, joining fellow rookie Cam Newton and also Peyton Manning, Dan Marino, and Charlie Conerly. Among this group, Dalton is the only one to have at least 8 wins as a rookie and lead his team to the playoffs. Pro Football Focus listed Dalton as the fifth most accurate quarterback in the NFL in accuracy percentage (percent completion not including dropped passes, throwaways, and spikes). At the conclusion of the season, Dalton received the Emerging Player Award from the NFL Players Association during the NFLPA PULSE Awards. The other nominees for the award were Newton, New Orleans TE Jimmy Graham, New England TE Rob Gronkowski, and Detroit DT Ndamukong Suh. Dalton was named initially as a Pro Bowl Alternate in his first year, and was added to the AFC Pro Bowl roster after the New England Patriots won the AFC Championship, forcing Tom Brady to withdraw.[19] Dalton and Newton became the first pair of rookie quarterbacks to make the Pro Bowl in the same season. Well ****. |
Re: Redskins vs Bengals Gameday Thread
The only thing that would make me feel better about potentially losing this game, is having the Cowboys lose to the Bucs.
I'm tired of the Skins being the basement team in the NFC East every year. |
We have allowed exactly 300 yards on defense. How could anyone defend Haslett?
There is a reason he was coaching in the UFL. |
Re: Redskins vs Bengals Gameday Thread
I feel horrible for the fans at the game. Spending hard earned money on an overpriced ticket to watch that effort on both sides of the ball. id boo my ass off if I was there. no excuse for that play in the home opener.

Re: Redskins vs Bengals Gameday Thread
Just saw someone on facebook say to bring Cousins in.
Looks like widespread panic is starting to set in. Week 3, ya'll. |
It's on RGIII as well. I've seen him hold the ball too long on a few plays, mishandled a hand off, and never should have tried to option that pass. He's not helping out either as well as the OL.
He does not look comfortable in the pocket. Maybe him being on his backside the whole first half has something to do with that. PULL YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR A$$'S. We can still get in this game. |

It surprises at the lack of reaction from the crowd. No cheering, no booing, no emotion. We've been beaten down so much we've learned to passively accept failure. |

Re: Redskins vs Bengals Gameday Thread
I love forum boards... It's like the sky is falling because our team is getting beat the exact way we thought they would before the season started.
Poor Secondary play, and Offensive line production News Flash :Welcome to Redskins Nation 2012 |

Doooon't. Shanahan better make it past this year. It blows having to change coaches every 3-4 years. Something within this organization HAS to stay consistent. If anything dump Haslett and bring a someone who knows how to run a 3-4 defense. |

Re: Redskins vs Bengals Gameday Thread
Dont have access to the game here in North Carolina but checked my ESPN app...what a joke, THIS is how we play our home opener???? Very sad. And to think...I almost got Sunday Ticket because of RG3...glad I talked myself outta that, whatever optimism I had from Week 1 is quickly evaporating. So tired of this crap. We still are the terrible team we've come to know and love/hate year in, year out. Alteast my 'Noles won....

Re: Redskins vs Bengals Gameday Thread
Trent Williams out of the game again.
|
Re: Redskins vs Bengals Gameday Thread
Agreed. Landry fan here. Stupid move given any of his "replacements"
|
Re: Redskins vs Bengals Gameday Thread
This is what we should've been doing; running up the middle. This side to side shit doesn't work when your tackles suck. (Well when Black was in)
|
Re: Redskins vs Bengals Gameday Thread
Trent back on sideline?
