This is ridiculous! Kind of makes me go back and think how much money Clinton Portis could have been fined for wearing his costumes back in the day!

Honestly, who really cares what the players are wearing before or after the game. All the uniform inspectors should be worried about is making sure the players are wearing all of their pads and whatever else they have to wear to protect themselves during the game. Maybe the same socks so forth, but that should be all. It really is turning into the No Fun League more and more everyday.

Getting back on the subject of the NFL "One Helmet" rule where teams can no longer wear more than one helmet during the course of a season i.e. the Bucs white "Bucco Bruce". Does the same rule apply to the players changing styles of their helmets during the season?

We have seen five Redskins change helmets over the last three or four games including London Fletcher, who has used a Riddell VS-4 helmet his whole career until Sunday night when he started using a Riddell Speed. What’s the difference?
A change is a change. It has to be insulting to the equipment managers that the league doesn't trust them to fit the helmets properly, but I bet most of them are probably happy not to have another set of helmets to prepare during the season.

The Packers will be stuck with all-gold helmets this week because of the stupid new rule. They're wearing their throwbacks that would normally have brown helmets, but they now have to peel the logos and stripes off their helmets so they don't look stupid like the Steelers did when they wore current helmets with old throwbacks.

People who suggest changing the name but not the logo or any association with Native Americans, like the Redhawks set above, are fooling themselves. The people who oppose the name want any and all connections to Native Americans to go. I guess we're stuck with animals, colors, or generic nouns.

If you haven't seen this yet it is an interesting read and I kinda called it in an earlier post by saying there is no difference in multiple helmets as long as they are fitted correctly and that the equipment mangers aren't very fond of it because of the extra work, just the NFL covering their asses.
