Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
I am cursed. I've already had to drop Arian Foster, now I'm probably going to end up having to drop Mike James.
|
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Yah....I know what you're thinking, I'll post up my fantasy dilemma's and another fantasy owner will likely step up with similar.......trials and justify my pain. No such thing
.....You're cursed You shrinks, you're so easy........ |

My fantasy RBs are WEAK and James was looking so promising for me too. :( |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Don't ask me how I made this happen (Or why I have 3 QBs ) But I have Cam, Foles and RG3
Who do I start this week: Cam at home vs. NE or RG3 or Foles. |

Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Trade Foles while he still has both legs and a job.
I'd start Griff...Philly's D is far worse than NE's. |

I'm starting Griff

Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
How's everyone doing? Just won my division and in the playoffs in my 20-team, $100 buy-in league that I do with my buddies and 1st in our WP Pickin' Winners! Anyone else having any luck that wants to toot their own horn as well?

Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
In three leagues -
In first and clinched in playoff in my 12 team money league In sixth with not horrible shot at the playoffs in 12 team free league. (I have the second highest point total -- that's how the ball breaks I guess) In first in my 10 team free league. Unless I lose my final game by 95 points, I am in the playoffs. Just a matter of seeding - top four teams all have same record. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
So ... doing fine in regular season. Play-offs are a big crap shoot.
|
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
2nd in our pickem league
1st in my 10 team money league a strong draft (peterson, brees, graham; 1-2-3 + desean jackson in the 7th + fred jackson in the 8th) i added gordon in week 1 or 2, he's been BALLIN' i added stacy in late october, he's been ballin' my only serious injuries were to reggie wayne and to shane vereen; i kept vereen and i don't regret it. THE FIGHTING DALTONS QB Drew Brees, NO*QB Draft RB Adrian Peterson, Min*RB**Q Draft RB Zac Stacy, StL*RB Free Agency WR DeSean Jackson, Phi*WR Draft WR Josh Gordon, Cle*WR Free Agency TE Jimmy Graham, NO*TE Draft FLEX Fred Jackson, Buf*RB Draft D/ST Texans D/ST*D/ST Free Agency K Mason Crosby, GB*K Free Agency Bench Wes Welker, Den*WR Draft Bench Shane Vereen, NE*RB**P Draft Bench Jordan Reed*, Wsh*TE**O Free Agency Bench 49ers D/ST*D/ST Free Agency Bench Colts D/ST*D/ST Free Agency Bench Russell Wilson, Sea*QB Free Agency Bench Michael Floyd, Ari*WR**Q Free Agency |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
My big draft win was Ashlon Jeffrey in the 12th Round
My big FA win was Julius Thomas in week 2. Also got Le'Veon Bell early as a FA (hurt his foot almost immediately after the draft and guy who picked him cut him - snatched him up and stashed him). Late season FA is Foles - He is my QB in the first round (over Brady). Also got Vereen in advance of his return from IR. Rounds 1-4: Morris, AJ Green, J. Nelson and D.Murray. All solid contributors. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
So with that said, any recommendations for my flex guy?
RB's: Vereen, Murray WR's: Green, Jeffrey Flex: J. Nelson, Morris or Bell Normally, Morris is a no-brainer but, with all the Shanahan crap, just not sure if I can rely on him. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
I think you gotta stick with Morris, he's been mostly consistent all year. I don't like Nelson with Flynn throwing the ball, and Bell hasn't been as good as Morris has been this year.
Or you could look at it like this: I had the bye last week, naturally AD gets injured, and my options are DeAngelo Williams or Brian Leonard unless my waiver pickup of Andre Ellington goes through tomorrow. And did I mention my other starting running back is Danny Woodhead? Yeah I might have a tough time advancing to my championship game after this week. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Yeah, I got no complaints about my RB's. Win lose or draw, they really were my staple throught out the year.
Which of course means they will all tank (except the guy on the bench) this week. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
In the semi-finals in my money league! Finished the regular season tied for the best record, second in points scored. I've beaten the team I'm facing twice and have beaten the other two teams also.
But...RGIII has been my QB all year. Reed is my TE. Lucky I snagged Andy Dalton as a backup when he was dropped before he woke up. Early in the season he was bad and someone dropped him. Going to have to start him when it counts. Martellus Bennett is my other TE so I'm OK there too but I've missed Reed's numbers. ----------------------------- For my WR3, I've had TY Hilton but he's been quiet for a month now. My other WRs are Riley Cooper vs MIN or Rod Streater vs. KC. Streater has been great in the last month, 21 receptions for 364 yards and 2 TDs....but going against KC. I'm leaning towards going with Cooper over Hilton this week at WR3. Thoughts? |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
welker out : fred jackson in
peterson [possibly] out : vereen in not a big deal this week (i'll have to lose by 61 to lose the game), but concerned going into weeks 16 and 17. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Which one do I leave on the bench? ... Morris, Stacey or Ball?
|
Skinsfan69 - bench Ball
Monkeydad - I would play Cooper over Hilton but that's one of those "cross your fingers hoping that you picked the right guy" plays. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
^Thanks for the reply...that's what I'm doing. I hate having to trust an Eagle, but there's money involved here.
Hilton SHOULD have taken off when Wayne went down. So I'm rolling with Jeffery/Shorts/Cooper at WR, Dalton at QB, Charles and Moreno at RB and Bennett at TE. Projected to win at least...figures I had a playoff bye last week when Charles ran over the Skins. |

Bench Ball. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
agree, bench ball
|
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Bush or Bell tonight? My playoff game depends on this decision, need about 11 points to win my game and get to the championship. I'm leaning Bush, got burned on him last week but I still pulled off the W.
|
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
So my opponent in this week's playoff game has Jamaal Charles....game over.

You're not the only one. :( Best case I finish third now. |

I was so pissed. What's worst, I'm sitting in first place and this team gets into the playoffs at the last minute (bumping out a team who would have been a much favorable match up). |

If its a PPR; I'd go Bush. Not an ideal situation, but he's slated to get a normal workload... should catch three/four balls for 30-40 yards... right there would be 8-9 points. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
I need Calvin Johnson to NOT score more than 62 points tonight; and I'm in the finals.
|
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
I, on the other hand, need R. Bush NOT to score 10 points. Not counting on that.
BTW - Sat Jordy Nelson and Le'Veon Bell who scored ~ 28 points total; played Almo and Vereen for 9 points total. Like I said, the FF playoffs are a crap shoot. Each team has about 3 or 4 studs and it is just a question of who gets more hot players. My team gave a good effort, it was a fun year. Would have liked to made it to the finals but c'est le vie. |

I guess I'd rather take the chance on Bush vs Bell though. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
^^^ And can I add, Antonio Brown is on my personal "I hate you now and forever list".
I am with you in that I would play Bush but, you're right, to a certain extent with Bell & Bush it's a bit of a gamble. I imagine he'll get yardage and a score before leaving (even if Bell vultches a TD here or there). |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
BTW - for those of you watching ... yes, it's me v. Matty in the semi's.

He's been a stud. Green did enough to keep things interesting heading into tonight. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
So yesterday was a really fun day for any team in any league that had Jamaal Charles. If you made the playoffs and he was on your team you won, I don't need to know anything else about your team to accurately say that, right? Just a WOW day by him.
The average points by a team in our Yahoo standard scoring league this year has been about 100 points. The guy that had Charles yesterday will be over 180 after Monday night. |

Brown is a stud and has been kind of under the radar all year. As for Green, I kept thinking "C'mon, one TD catch, that's all I want ... one TD." At the same time, can't knock him. Wouldn't be in the playoffs without him. |

Charles team and lost. His losing score beats everyone else but the team he played and one other (although, Matty with R. Bush may also edge him out). He got the score despite his Denver/N.O. guys crapping out at just the wrong time (Moreno, Decker, Graham who combined for all of ~11 points). I am sure he is pissed. He had a killer team all year. |

Looks like a 9-5 team might end up playing a 7-7 team to win it all, lol |
Re: Fantasy Football 2013 Thread
Well, the 7-7 team is the third highest scoring team in the league. You just had some average/bad weeks against some other teams best weeks of the season.
