The Ravens also didn't suck horribly. Texans are a playoff team too.

Wow, lucky break.

RedskinRat 09-15-2013 02:26 PM

And now the tide turns, Redskins win.

Amerson looks plain horrible. I dont like his prospects moving forward. From what Ive seen, I expect that type of play from a 7th rounder......

So what makes this play or the next one more important if we're getting smoked either way? Guy calls me a dumbass when he's clueless as to what's going on.

I got to say, I am not enjoying football season as much as I expected I would be enjoying it.

Re: Redskins-Packers Gameday thread

Well at least the Packers shot themselves in the foot and we won't get screwed before halftime.

I gotta wonder who on the offense cares about winning this game because I really don't think anyone does.

RG3 blows right now and we have no running game because we have no passing game.

After what i just saw and taking a look at the schedule.....well never mind.

My biggest issue right now is we know the packers run a traditional WCO... Why are our DBs so far off the ball?

Sonny9TD 09-15-2013 02:28 PM

Re: Redskins-Packers Gameday thread

Does RG3 look concerned? If he can't put the weight on his knee to dig in and throw with some sort of proper technique then bring in Cousins until he can get it right.

Haslett needs to get back down on the sidelines.

Unless RG3 starts getting mobile in some capacity, we are going to have a poor offense for the majority of the season. I don't think he needs to run like last year by any means, but one of our largest weapons is just his threat of running.

I feel like we are back to the past 8 years - sans 2012. Boring, below average Redskins as usual.

Yes around week 5 after RG3 plays the equivalent of preseason.

It seems they have always done that. Maybe because we don't have any thing near a shut down corner since Champ Bailey and maybe Smoot.

This is some bad football fellas. So far I might have to get DVDs of even the early Norv era just to enjoy football season again. All my teams suck, minus the Lions.

Always good to find perspective in the midst of a game like this. In his 4th season, shanahan has only produced a serious football team for half a season, which also coincided with the rest of the division having its worst season in decades. In other words, what we're seeing here is really back to normal.

The silver lining is this should be the season Bruce Allen and Dan finally call a spade a spade on move on. There are soooooooooooo many coaches we've missed out on waiting for mike and Kyle to get it together. It's not happening. Time to move on and I imagine Dan wont let the embarrassment go on much longer.

Just saying.. since you are a professional

Absolutely, the run threat was what made RG3 so dangerous. As a pocket passer he is just another QB and from his play so far not a very good one.

The RO covered up a lot of deficiencies on our OL last year. Without using it regularly, those deficiencies are showing.
At this point I don't see how you can't
I don't really, really think we won't win a game. I'm just speaking from a place of hate.

But there's definitely something about this offense not working. The defense seems decent, I mean you can't keep them out there forever and expect them to 1) not get tired and 2) not start bending

I don't know if its the coaching or the players but one of the two needs to be examined for a possibly serious overhaul during the off-season.

One thing on this team that isn't a problem is the coaching.
He needs to do something. Looking a lot like last year before the bye.
To play devils advocate he does have two rookie's playing big minutes, even Brandon Jenkins saw the field a lot first half. Carriker's out, J. Jenkins is suspended, Meriweather out, Coefield is wearing a full sized baby on his hand. D. Hall is D. Hall, as is Doughty. Defense was on the field for 2/3 of that first half.

Not exactly starters talent out there... really effects depth. A lot of guys that should be subbing in for a play or two are playing starters roles. Not saying they shouldn't be ready, but that's just what it is.
