This is how i felt about Tebow. Absolutely rooted for the guy to fail miserably. Just dont have the hate for Manziel. In college -before all the negative shit- i really enjoyed watching him play n rooted for him. Maybe thats why. |
Re: Gameday Thread: Browns vs. Redskins
Tons of hate for Tebow who seemed like a decent (albeit goofy) guy? Manziel seems like a class-A douche. :D

Yeah I know. I am reserving judgement on Manziel to see if he matures and learns from his mistakes. Sort of like Lebron albeit Manziel has douched out on a few more occasions than Lebron did. My hate for Tebow is complicated. Haha. |

I dont hate Tebow or Manziel.Tebow seems like a good guy and I wish he would get another shot but I doubt very much he will because of the media mess that goes with him.Same goes for Manziel,he screws this up any team that picks him up is going to have the same media circus with him. I guess the reason I was pulling for Manziel is because I always thought Doug Flutie didnt get a fair shot in the NFL and JM is Flutie part deux.Manziel is such an ass it makes it hard to root for him,and if he does succeed like I want him to he's probably just going to become a bigger asshole |

Manziel IS Tebow. I don't mean in terms of playing style, I mean in terms of being an overrated, overhyped fail as an NFL QB. |
Re: Gameday Thread: Browns vs. Redskins
Agreed- but due to the fact that it wasnt really a "melt down" im just holding off on saying he doesnt have what it takes mentally to be a player/leader in this league. Sirius radio was just talking about him and Leaf as a matter of fact and pointed out that Leafs teammates didnt like the guy fromq day one. I think the Manziels teammates do like him and that speaks volumes about whats actually inside a guys head. As opposed to what outsiders think is in his head. Time will tell.
Are we sure his team mates liked him? I remember reading that several were unimpressed with him both as a player, as a pro, and as a person. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk |

Tebow could have had another shot, as a TE. He might have been a good TE but we'll never know because he was too proud to change positions. He has no future as an NFL QB - not because of the media hype but because he can't throw the football well enough. |

from Johnny futbol to Tebow. crazy train

Re: Gameday Thread: Browns vs. Redskins
I thought the Redskins Cheerleaders had a good game. I expect them to go undefeated this season.

While I can't speak for everyone I personally never hated Tebow. In fact in terms of the person I have nothing but the utmost respect for the guy. I personally just hated Tebowmania which lets be honest either created or exposed a lot of poorly educated football fans who though because Tebow was so successful in college that he was destined to be a great NFL QB (I guess that makes me kind of a football yuppie in that case). The run he went on with possibly the most favorable schedule in recent memory kind of inflated his value too. |

Are we really talking about fawking Tebow? Seriously? Let it go.

If I'm Kyle Shanahan right now, RG3 and Cousins look pretty appealing. On a different note, we should all start sporting sigs like yours. Ditka is the f*cking man. I wish 2 things on that subject: 1st, that more high-profile people would be able to keep a clear vision like he has, and 2nd, that more of those people would add their views like he did. That might turn this thing around. |
Re: Gameday Thread: Browns vs. Redskins
Chances of Kyle being in Cleveland next year? Slim to none. He can't be happy with that QB situation at all and knowing at some point he's going to be forced to play Johnny boy.
|
Re: Gameday Thread: Browns vs. Redskins
Johnny..Jump Up, no doubt cannot be happy with this as all his life he has been the starter.....etc
Reduced to scout team guy? This thing will blow up in Cleveland.....soon. It is indeed a shame that it cannot happen in the off season as we will need the diversion. |

I just laugh when Redskins fans hold their noses up to franchises like CLE and OAK. The majority of the other league lump us right in with them. |
Re: Gameday Thread: Browns vs. Redskins
At least the Skins have had their share of success in the SB era. The Browns? Yeah not so much.
|
Re: Gameday Thread: Browns vs. Redskins
Pffffttttt......Whatever, I'll always have my Redskins pride.
I couldn't give a flaming feck what the rest of the league thinks. I didnt become a fan so I could feel bad about things. |

Yep. When you finish last every year, people think you are a loser. But winning cures many things and especially this. Just win RGIII baby! |
Re: Gameday Thread: Browns vs. Redskins
The Browns haven't even been to the playoffs since 2002.

That's pretty exclusive company. As bad as the Skins may have been, the Browns are a lot worse off. I'd say it's more of a 50 lb difference. |

Maybe if Griffin steps up this year I will have a little more pride for them. |

Based on what we saw Monday Rex will be in there before the season ends.

Re: Gameday Thread: Browns vs. Redskins
It's laughable they're calling RG3's injury a "thigh contusion". The replays showed him twist badly at the knee and then think about grabbing for it before hesitating and thinking better of it. It's a knee problem but they know if they say that the house will get blown down...

Absolutely. When I talk to my friends around the country the Skins are lumped in with Clev, Jax, & Oak as a dysfunctional, loser organization. The Skins are never discussed with the likes of NE, Balt, Pgh, etc. Hopefully RG3 and the new coaches can change that reality. |

So if he broke his leg on a clumsy slide then they would say he's out for the season with a thigh bruise....because the house will get blown down and stuff. |
Re: Gameday Thread: Browns vs. Redskins
As we know Griffin has been out of practice all week while he underwent a top secret knee surgery.

Re: Gameday Thread: Browns vs. Redskins
I like Jay Gruden but here is his stupidest-sounding quote so far. It's about RGIII not protecting himself when he runs. Gruden: "It is an issue if he gets injured. It’s not an issue if he doesn’t.”
Let's look at Gruden's statement the way I twist it in my mind where I equate not going out of bounds or sliding soon enough to poison: "If RGIII takes poison and dies, then it's an issue. It's not an issue if he takes poison but doesn't die." Smart. Real smart. After reading what Gruden said, I'm as concerned as ever that RGIII may once again be seriously injured. It would be tragic to see a potentially great career curtailed or ended early because a harmful habit wasn't corrected. I hope Cousins is ready because I'm afraid he'll be starting some games this season. |
