I wonder if Minn would consider hiring Gruden as OC to help get KC back on track since they are stuck with him another few years.

You don't get it. Owners aren't acting as independent individuals. The league is one entertainment company. Snyder profits whether team.wins or loses. Same as all players make a million whether they win or lose. Snyder doesn't care about you. No owner cares about you. Profit sharing and tv contracts eliminate needing to compete with each other. They all make money if all they ever sold was brady jerseys. Snyder isn't the problem. It's the league as a whole. |

Watching guys catch balls on your tv does not qualify as understanding owners intentions OR how the league operates. You can't prove me wrong by simply insulting my view. Gruden is set up to fail but I still don't want him as my coach. We will never be able to run the ball with him as HC.

How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
BA needs to be fired first and replaced by the scouting Director Kyle Smith.
Gruden fired next and replaced by O’Connell. Let the NEW GM find a new DC along with O’Connell. Manusky needs to go ASAP. But with the right replacement. All after the Patriots ass whooping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
Time for a dose of reality. Take your medicine and stop dreaming.
1. Dan Snyder will never change and he will probably outlive you. If he doesn't outlive you, then his son will inherit the team and he will be a worse owner than his old man. 2. Bruce Allen isn't going anywhere. He is exactly what Snyder wants. 3. Sure, Gruden and Manusky will be fired soon but they won't be replaced by young guns. Tomsula will probably be Interim HC and DC and Callahan will probably be appointed by Allen as the OC. Allen and Snyder have no regard for up and coming young coaches. They have proved that. 4. This clown car that used to be the Redskins under JKK will continue to roll downhill for as long as you live. |
Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
Jay's kicking a FG from the 3 while down 14-0 was named the dumbest coaching decision of the week per the Athletic....

A worthy selection. Gruden could have had the QB take a knee. That would be the only play call that might have been more stupid at that point. Honestly, it wasn't so much that the call was stupid but the impression that Gruden quit on his team that bothered me the most. |

I disagree. Taking the penalty when they had the Giants stopped on 3rd town instead of declining and letting the Giants try a 45 yard field goal on their opening drive. Instead of down 3-0 or tied at 0-0 if they miss, the Giants convert that 3rd and long and end up getting a TD shortly there after. With the Redskins allowing a ridiculous amount of 3rd and long conversions and the way the Giants were marching down the field no way does a coach with anything larger than a pea brain give them a 2nd chance to keep the drive alive. |
Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
I really believe Jay came into this season looking to get fired and expecting it, he joked way too much about it in the Pre season. When we go down to NE sunday by 30+ I just don't see anyway Dan keeps him Monday.
Hire Kevin O as the new HC |
Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
So when Gruden gets fired, who thinks he will end up telling how screwed up this organization is in regards to Dan and Bruce? We've all seen him hold nothing back when talking about players (ie. RGIII)...but will he do the same when asked about his time as head coach for the Redskins? All the things we speculate about what he does or doesn't have say over with regards to the roster, ast. coaches, draft...does Bruce have total control over him or not? Or will he keep his mouth shut...like Mike Shanahan has pretty much done.

It is hard to fathom how really bad this team is on 3rd down that they could let that happen. |
Re: How Long Will Jay Gruden Last This Season as Head Coach?
I'd like to see them push Bruce to the side to handle the stadium and put Eric Shaffer in as team president. I think he'd hire the best football guys he can, if that's Kyle Smith for GM then it's Kyle Smith.
Then Shaffer and the GM pick the head coach. Even better would be to fire Bruce altogether because if the dude is in the building there's still the chance he creeps back into power, but I'm trying to be realistic here. |

It didn't really push them out of FG range, the Giant kicker has a strong leg. After a turnover in your own end being down only 3-0 would have been a mental boost. I understand playing the percentages, but you have to factor in your teams strengths and weaknesses. |
