Yup and not one criminal report , these are all civil complaints .

Fuck your workout...you can find me shirtless on car tops today homie
A pro sports commissioner or group of team owners need to have the balls to ban anyone who signs a contract to stay off social media.

It's not a free speech issue, it's terms of employment. It will stand up in court. A lot of states are at-will employment by law, meaning you can be fired for ANY reason without liability to the employer. People have been fired recently for not supporting the right political candidate on social media...or being involved in extracurricular activities that employers do not like. Kids have been expelled from liberal schools for doing target shooting with their Dad on the weekend or wearing the wrong t-shirt to school. It's happening everywhere except the NFL and NBA.

Employers already search YOUR social media before hiring you. It's fair game because it's public speech.

Seems to only be a problem for the NFL and NBA...I don't see baseball and hockey players doing stupid sh!% on Twitter to wreck their careers.

One of the best corners in the game. I have zero idea why you need an illegal weapon. If you care about gun control he should go to jail for multiple years.

To reiterate, 44 qbs have gone first, second or third overall in the last 50 NFL drafts, and exactly two--Aikman and Peyton--have won Super Bowls starting for the teams that drafted them. That makes selecting qbs up high exceptionally risky. My parting shot for

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason

I'm not defending anyone here; if they are guilty throw the book at them, sue them, whatever. But I see a slippery slope with these kinds of allegations. I believe in innocent until shown to be guilty (whether by publicly available validated evidence or a court decision). If someone is denied employment due to a (currently) unproven allegation I can't help feeling uncomfortable, especially where there's a question of a financial case being sought instead of a criminal one.

Or maybe it's my lack of in depth knowledge of the US legal system. Over here a criminal charge is sought and then a civil case can be brought without any clash with the criminal case, to seek compensation (though often compensation is awarded as part of the criminal case verdict). Maybe my understanding, but it seems like you can pursue a criminal case or a compensation case but not both? If they are guilty and the claimants can prove so, why no criminal charges? I can see why the accusations of opportunism abound, especially if the claimants seem to be actively trying to avoid a criminal case.

Bengals new uniforms...big upgrade over the mess they've been wearing with random piing and mismatched stripes and panels. Much cleaner look. Less is more.

Jordan Reed is expected to retire. It sucks how the injuries destroyed Reed's career, he was a hell of TE for us and could easily become one of the best TEs in NFL history if it wasn't for the injuries.

EdmundDorf 04-20-2021 08:35 AM

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason

Yes, Reed could have been one of the best. Last concussion was totally unnecessary, targeted use of helmet in a preseason game should have got Neil banned outright, can't stand that pos and seems apt that he is now playing for Dallas, not that I needed more reasons to dislike them

They'd have some real trash looks after that. The stripes were a mess, the jersey and pants didn't even match up.
