Oh, Man. Might we get Lavar back THIS WEEK?

Just up on skins.com:

C'mon Lavar! We need you, man!!! :coach:

Riggo44 12-09-2004 06:20 PM

Man I sure hope so! That would be a nice lift for the team.

Redskins8588 12-09-2004 06:42 PM

If I was Williams, I would make it a game time decision, even if Arrington is going to play just to mess with the eagles head a little bit!! Keep them wondering!!

While I'd love to have Lavar back, especially against the Iggles, we have the number 2 defense in the NFL without him. Number one in the NFC. I really want him back, but not until he is 100%. We don't need him to tweak his knee again and possibly have to have another surgery on it. The way the season is going (yes we are on an upward trend with Patrick back) we don't need to risk Lavar at this point. If there's any question, don't risk it, bring him back full speed next season.

I think the coaches will be hard pressed to keep him out if he wants to go.

heybigstar 12-09-2004 08:20 PM

Lets turn it up, im listening to the scorpions right now, bout to go to the gym,
thinking about Lavar laying someone out and the crowd erupting....

heybigstar 12-09-2004 08:25 PM

lets destroy the Eagles..... TO has BO...

VTSkins897 12-09-2004 08:27 PM

yeah if he can go, play him. this is a huge division game. i'd like to see him light up Mac5.

sportscurmudgeon 12-09-2004 09:42 PM

This is a huge division game? Please...

Is this going to change the standings in the division anywhere near the top of the division? Not based on any math courses I ever took.

The Skins are 1-3 in the division thusfar and in last place so how is this a "huge division game"? Maybe it sets them up for a "huge conference game" next week with the 49ers?

The Redskins are playing this weekend to show the league that they are not nearly as miserable as they showed themselves to be in October and November. The Eagles have to figure out a way to win two more games to get home field advantage and don't really care when they happen.

Here's the REAL Redskins' motivation for the game. If T.O. catches a TD pass this week, Andy Reid has to wear spandex tights based on a deal he made with T.O. in training camp. If T.O. does that, he will be celebrating in the end-zone big time - - maybe an Indian war dance on the endzone logo? The real challenge for the defense is to keep T.O. from the opportunity to do something that will be on every ESPN highlight show until next Thursday.

It's definitely a huge game for the Skins. If they can find a way to win 4 in a row the playoffs could be a real possibility.

heybigstar 12-09-2004 11:45 PM

if we win 4 in a row, we have a greater than 50% chance of making the playoffs, it all starts with the eagles... If we are good enough to beat the surging eagles,, then we hsould be able to beat the rest or the teams on our schedule with tough hard nose play, Gibbs wouldnt let us slip like that

Gmanc711 12-09-2004 11:49 PM

I think its all on this game. I really do. I'm going to be rooting on Sunday night like this was the playoffs, because I think if we beat the Eagles, we can sneak in. I'm so jakked for this game!!

aehs77 12-10-2004 12:13 AM

that would be awesome he could keep mcnabb on his from scrambling allover the place

JWsleep 12-10-2004 10:36 AM

I'll just be psyched to see Lavar knocking some skulls again! It's been a long time. Also, he's been watching his teammates play hard and play hurt, and he wants to show he's a part of it, that he's a real redskin. I bet we see him. And while Lemar Marshall has played great, try blocking Lavar with an RB!

ChounsMan 12-10-2004 11:03 AM

Sean Taylor has made the secondary that much better w/o Arrington. Imagine when Arrington & Taylor play on the same field. Hopefully that will come Sunday against the Beagles.
