Whats with the T.O. talk
Did I miss something, while I was locked in the basement since Saturday. Is there talk that T.O. might come to the skins????
|
Re: Whats with the T.O. talk
i don't care how good he is, a cancer is a cancer and it needs to be exterminated.
|
Re: Whats with the T.O. talk
your right but are the skins talkin to him?
|
Re: Whats with the T.O. talk
what is your source? where did you hear this info from? Maybe we are thinking that we would rather have him against dallas twice a year rather than us go aginst him twice a year, but I would think that the BIG LITTLE MAN Santana Moss would have feel like he just got slaped in the face...

Re: Whats with the T.O. talk
I've heard ZERO rumors about T.O. and the Skins. Don't start any here. The farther away from our team he remains, the better.

Re: Whats with the T.O. talk
I think maybe what happened is you saw the thread about Koren Robinson indicating he wouldn't mind playing here. And you also saw the thread, perhaps, about should we go after Charles Rogers.
In both threads, for no apparent reason comparisons to TO have been made to both receivers and the thread starts to shift into "well why not TO then?" But there has been no talk about TO coming here |
Re: Whats with the T.O. talk
yeah that was it ,I just wanted to make sure that wasnt true. thank god

Re: Whats with the T.O. talk
I dont think T.O. could pay Joe Gibbs enough money to let him play for us.

NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!! :spank: Gibbs wants good guys not team cancers!!!!! |
Re: Whats with the T.O. talk
If you don't "invite" him in, he can't come in your house. Just to be safe, keep a crucifix close
|
Re: Whats with the T.O. talk
I still say the skins are going to take a run at TO.

Maybe in years past, but not at this point. No matter how much we need another WR. |
Re: Whats with the T.O. talk
There's no way Gibbs would risk the locker room character he is always praising over this loser. No way.

Re: Whats with the T.O. talk
Owens will never sign with a team where he is not the unquestioned #1 WR. Since we currently have a Pro Bowler on our roster who spins screen passes into gold like Rumplestiltskin by the name of Santana F'ing Moss, Owens would likely not want to come here even if we'd have him. Which we wouldn't.
He's a player who crucifies his coaches and teammates if he doesn't get his way. We don't show patience with talented players who complain quietly behind the sidelines. We had a guy like that - goes by the name of Laveranues - and we ate a multi-million dollar cap hit rather than put up with nonsense. Coles caught 172 balls for 2158 in a Redskins uni. During that same time, Owens caught 157 balls for 2302 yards. There's a tremendous TD disparity, but that's a function of more than talent. If we were willing to hurt our team's ability to sign players to get rid of one of the top ten receivers in football, why would we risk so much to acquire one who is on the wrong side of 30 years old, but has a history of screwing his team? |
Re: Whats with the T.O. talk
You know how you get those canned responses when you email tech support? Where it obviously just searched for a key term and then emailed you back with the same text it emails everyone else?
We need something like that here, where it automatically creates the entire thread once it finds the phrase "wide receiver". Then it would automatically add the following posts: "I heard we're talking to TO." "The guy is a cancer." "Still, he's got mad skills." "I wouldn't touch him with a 10-foot poll - we need chemistry." "What if we signed him for the minimum." "TO won't sign for the minimum." "What if there was a behavior clause?" "Joe Gibbs would never allow a player like that in the clubhouse." "What about Dexter Manley?" |

Look what he did as the only deep option with two and three people trying to cover him. With another deep option teams would be forced to take them into account given Moss less attention and it would also beneft Cooley.

Re: Whats with the T.O. talk
Stephen A Smith and other sports writers at the Philadelphia Inquirer have been speculating on TO's future, including rumors that Jerry Jones or Daniel Snyder will offer Owens a lucrative contract. I believe Snyder is reformed and will not go after Owens unless St. Joe Gibbs initiates it, which he won't. Bill Parcells is old school, too. It's unlikely Owens will be in Dallas.
I believe Owens will play in an Iggles uniform next season. I'll post my reasons why on my blog later today. |
Re: Whats with the T.O. talk
Gibbs has already made it clear TO ain't happening. It amazes me this guy keeps coming up on threads. TO has been discussed here on several threads since the middle of the season and the topic has been met with the same consequence each time. Why do we keep discussing this guy? It's just a dream to think Gibbs would have this guy as he's already made it clear a pass is in order.

Re: Whats with the T.O. talk
He is too expensive but if the skins had the cap room he would be a risk worth taking. The guy is probably the best receiver in the NFL. He is Steve Smith except bigger and stronger.
