arrington trade wish

Is to trade Lavar to the cardinals
and get 2 of their wr's (fitzgerald is untouchable)

I think they can absorb his salary cap

what dou you think guys? is this possible

Re: arrington trade wish

Maybe we could just send them jacobs and brown instead for their 2 recievers.....

But I don't think lavar will solve all of their defensive problems....

Beemnseven 01-25-2006 10:39 PM

Re: arrington trade wish

Not a chance. Dennis Green loves to throw the ball, and that's one of the very few things the Cardinals do well.

No way are they going to part with any of their receivers.

Re: arrington trade wish

trading lavar gets you a 2nd roun pick maybe cause everyone thinks we're tossing him... maybe only a 3rd. boldin or fitz get you a 1st + extras.

No Way.

Re: arrington trade wish

do not trade lavar!david patton will be back and with holdman a free agent, you just create another problem.we need a pass rusher first and foremost

Re: arrington trade wish

Detroit has more than enough receivers to trade but Charles Rodgers is a bust. Either Roy Williams or Mike Williams is a good deal. We should have had Mike Williams in the draft anyway.

Re: arrington trade wish

LaVar will restructure and 1 year removed for his surgery will be back and hungry... Sorry to break ranks with my buddy Offiss on this one lol

Don't you think Carlos Rogers was pretty much a need?

Great point.

But why does everyone want to get rid of Lavar? It going to cost more to release him then keep him, plus he wants to be here

I think we should trade Lavar for the Steelers O-Line.

Not to quibble but WE would be taking a majority of his hit. Like at least 7 mil and depending on the CBA situation possibly 12 mil. Most teams would love Lavar for the price they'd get him at if we traded him. They only have to pay his salary and then they get to decide whether to keep him or cut him before his next roster bonus comes up. He is cheap to others in 06. Just not to us. Signing bonuses are a bitch.

LOL This is the real situation I don't know if we can reasonably manage a trade and come out in a positive cap situation.

This doesn't have anything to do with this topic, but i'm pointing it out anyways. I just did a search for the word Arrington, and it turns out that there 550 results. I would assume that Arrington is one of the most used words on this forum. That was for the locker room alone.

Re: arrington trade wish

why the hatred for lavar? he cost alot of money if we keep him or get rid of him. He is one of the better linebackers in the league. If he can stay healthy, he is a probowler...

I dont understand why people want him gone.

Re: arrington trade wish

My wish... we keep Arrington and trade Ramsey to the lions for Charles Rogers and a fith round pick. Then when the season starts Rogers has a monster year for us. Also I wish Tapp falls to us in the second round and is a monster for us.

Lavar is not going anywhere nor should he.Next year he will be back to his old monster self.

actually, we did get rogers instead of williams. We got Campbell with the 25th pick. Williams was drafted with the 10th pick, right behind Rogers.

Re: arrington trade wish

Where are these crazy trade proposals coming from. I know you are making it up, but come on, make it atleast a little possible. If I were the Cardinals GM, I dont trade any of those WR for LaVar, and I personally love LaVar as all of you know. They have a core of WR that could make a run in a year to two, before any of them become FA.

drug problems? check
personal problems? check
on field half assitude? check
off field half assitude? check

gee, he sounds like the perfect fit.

Re: arrington trade wish

would anyone here trade moss for cato june? I personally wouldn't trade him for amrcus washington either... and both have more value cause they don't cost an insane amount of money or are still coming off an injury after a two year slump or are about to be released by their team.

(I know june is a FA, just saying)

in madden the cpu only cares about OVR, not contract numbers or injury history or years left on contract. there's a smaller consideration for age, but thats it. In the real world, you gotta trade perceived value to get perceived value, and right now arrington's is REALLY low for a sure starter on any team (which he's not right now, btw, at least not till he can prove he's healthy, which consequently won't be until AFTER this offseason).

Re: arrington trade wish

My Arrington wish is that they just get it over with quickly and spare us of an offseason full of Arrington threads.

Same with Ramsey, just get it over and done with.

Re: arrington trade wish

when is lavar due his bonus?his mystery will be solved before then.as far as ramsey, you would think if he is leaving,no later that the draft you would know his status(an impending trade)

Mike Williams and Roy Williams are any different? No!!!

The whole team as a group were underachievers. If he is surrounded by a team chasing a SuperBowl and as a collective group have a focused mindset to win, he'll change. Do you honestly think he'll get away with anything he got away with in Detroit here? NO He'd be dropped faster than a pass to Rod Gardner.

Matty it is about to become the start of the dead season in football, what do you expect us to talk about?
