Antonio Pierce is a 'Mo
I was just listening to Sportstalk 980 and they reported that Antonio Pierce said that the Giants are all about winning where the Redskins are just about marketing and that's what Lavar liked about New York. Not word for word just what I could remember. If he is correct wouldn't Washington have kept Lavar to market him ? Wasn't Pierce the same guy who bitched about Lavar getting all of that money or am I wrong ? Wasn't Pierce the same guy who was loved here and he probably could've been marketed more than Lemar Marshall who replaced him and did a fine job I might add. It's just funny to me because with all the negatives that I know the Redskins as an organization have, the dynamic has changed since Gibbs came back. I just thought that was a stupid statement but hey, Peter King will push for him to be inducted for that line ! I can't wait for the Giants game now ! He told all the secrets he new about the D and it helped the GayMen to an emotional 36-0 victory, and when it came down to playing when their new owner is alive without all of that emotion they got their asses whooped like I did the first time I brought a D home on my report card. I don't have season tickets, and I can count the number of games I've been to on my hand so I cherish each one. I saw and cherished seeing that ass whippin live ! And it was beautiful. HAIL !!!!!

Re: Antonio Pierce is a 'Mo
wow, i thought pierce was supposed to be smart. NY is the biggest media outlet in the country. and he talks baout marketing. bah.
|
Re: Antonio Pierce is a 'Mo
just sour grapes cause we didn't want him enough to pay him.
|
Re: Antonio Pierce is a 'Mo
If being "all about winning" means getting goose-egged at home in the first round of the playoffs then I hope they keep on "winning".

Re: Antonio Pierce is a 'Mo
I still think the reason we beat the Giants at home is because I made a good-luck turducken. And yes, I will keep bringing that up, thank you very much :)

Re: Antonio Pierce is a 'Mo
Oh believe me, I LOVE the negative press ! For me it's like the first bite of a steak cooked to perfection. Or that first swig of an Ice Cold MGD fresh out of the freezer ! Better yet it's almost as sweet as the sight of an empty Metro Train on my way to work on September 20th and December 19th ( the two Cowboys Losses ). Or better yet it was the look on the faces of Cowboys fans when they saw me at work. It get's me going. I love the reporters who talk ish, I love the players who talk ish, the win is made that much sweeter.
I don't think there is a Redskins fan in the world who didn't love the fact that Terence Newman was trucked on the Cowboys sideline in front of the fat Tuna by Chris Cooley who was on his way to a Redskins touchdown after preaching that the Cowboys would show that 14-13 was a fluke ! I loved it when they showed him take the walk of shame to the sideline. HAIL !!!!! |
Re: Antonio Pierce is a 'Mo
When Antonio comes to Fedex this fall get all over him like the little crying bitch he is! Read that take the money and run BBB...itch!!!!
|
Re: Antonio Pierce is a 'Mo
Pierce was trying to say what ever he could to remind and convince Lavar to come back and play for NY. Now that the market has opened up and teams like the Patriots have an Interest in Lavar, I think playing in the east isn't as important as before

Re: Antonio Pierce is a 'Mo
Somebody needs to tell AP to check the scoreboard.
Last time I checked we trounced them in FedEx in December, and they got their asses handed to them against Carolina in the first round. The Skins at least won a playoff game. Keep on talkin', we'll settle in on the field in '06. |
Re: Antonio Pierce is a 'Mo
We'll see who's all about winning when the Jints play us this season.

Re: Antonio Pierce is a 'Mo
Like i said AP doesn't shut his damn mouth. ****er. i have always said that bailey and him will take any shot at us that they can. Stephen davis does this too but for some reason people really don't care what he thinks anymore... wonder why? Pierce is a bitch. Last time he said the skins weren't about winning in december and the Gints were. We went 5 of 5 to finish the season. That is winning late. THat is winning when it matters. That is gibbs way. on top of that we beat the giants during december and that just puts the cherry on top. AP is a bitch.

Re: Antonio Pierce is a 'Mo
The simple fact is the Skins are up and coming and all the sailors (in this case that tupe of sailor) who have jumped ship have turned into HATERS. We'll see how the Gee-we-suck-men do next year as they rally around their emotional windbag- Jeremy "I give up on plays" Shockey

Re: Antonio Pierce is a 'Mo
Who is Antonio Pierce anyways...isn't he some injured linebacker thats plays on like the 25th best defense in the league?
|
Re: Antonio Pierce is a 'Mo
Pierce is a guy who wasn't drafted.
A guy who couldn't start on a mediocre defense for 3 years. A guy who was given a chance by the redskins, and made the most of it. A guy who was offered very similar money from the redskins, but since it wasn't QUITE as much, he left town. A guy who Gibbs and most redskins spoke highly of, and said they wished he could have stayed, yet wished the best for him. A guy who began ripping the skins right away for the money, though they had no reason to offer him near what they did...Giants were desperate for LB help so they paid big for one season of stats. A guy who is ungreatful for the opportunity the skins gave him. A guy who doesn't realize he's making millions right now because of the skins. A guy who would have been happy with a 6 figure signing bonus if M. Barrow hadn't gotten hurt, because he would have been riding the pine another season, then become an F.A. A guy who, for a smart guy, is pretty dumb...the money thing, and now these statements? If you look at them, well, he comes off as a moron if you think about it. A guy who, has now run his mouth for no reason...The signing was a one a done deal in my opinion, but after a season has gone by? He's still that into the skins? AND MOST OF ALL... A guy I hope the skins call "crack back" plays which have Cooley, Fauria, Sellers, and pulling linemen all gunning to rock him every chance we have to do it. Why would he even bring up the skins in that interview? He's in the marketing capital of the world, on a team who's quaterback came there only because of that, and he's talking about the redskins? What a flake. *note* Not sure what others called them, when I played we called them crack back plays when someone from offense leveled a certain defender from his blindside...usually a top defender when you want a play to go his way and/or just let him know offense can hit too. |

I think pierce just feels wronged cause he felt like he stepped up for the skins and then they dumped him. Like the skins thought he was a great player, just as long as he worked for free. NBA guys do the disrespect thing all the time. Pierce just doesn't see the big picture (that the skins got him a 30$mill deal and a permanent starting spot in the NFL), and instead only remembers the bad. |
Re: Antonio Pierce is a 'Mo

i doubt that. pierce and marshall really are about even talent wise. Pierce is a little better tackler, marshall has somewhat better hands. |
Re: Antonio Pierce is a 'Mo
I'd take pierce over marshall anyday for my linebacking core. Since I don't actually run a team, or have any say, I can say...I WOULD NEVER HAVE PIERCE ON MY ROSTER AFTER HIS COMMENTS REGAURDING THE SKINS...So there is no question, marshall is my guy of those two.
But yeah, leave the moron statements out I'd take Pierce over marshall anyday...but I really hope that putz never plays for us again, even for the league minimun. |
Re: Antonio Pierce is a 'Mo
I wish Pierce could've stayed but he didn't. Now that he's gone he's like that chick you used to mess with and when you guys break up everything is fine until you move on and she sees that you could live on without her. So she tries to recruit others to hate but it's just good comedy because you still get yours and she has nothing but the loser guy she's with now. So let him cry, let him beg Lavar to join his campaign against the Redskins so they can lose together. As a matter of fact Smoot did it too. I remember when he said it was good to play for an owner who understands football,... hmmm. Maybe that's why he sold that waste of space franchise. Oh how they will kneel before the Danny !!!!

KNEEL BEFORE ZOD, KNEEEEEEEL !!!!!!!!!
First, I would like to say smoot only annoyed me while he was here, though he played well. Last I heard, Smoot wants to take his mind off of his great season with his great organization and great owner (who are so much better than those he was with previously) so he is discussing an offseason trip with skipper and gilligan and a few friends... |

I am in the profession of marketing. And winning and marketing to me are on the same side of the accounting column. And they are both in black ink. If you catch my drift. As for Antonio, I love you bro! Hell, my best friend has said worse shit about me. I wont hate.
