The "The one thing I will remember about LaVar" thread
Basically, just post a single play or off field event, or series of the previously mentioned. I'll start:
All the times he jumped offsides trying to guess the snap count. |
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
when he was the highest paid player on the team, was barely playing, and wanted more money
|
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
the interception against carolina and saying all the right things when the skins were horrible
|
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
ending Troy's career
|
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
it wasn't all bad, and we REALLY didn't needd another lavar thread.
|
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
That he's gone
|

I know, but if I didn't post a new thread, no one would have responded. |
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
I will remember him as a hard charger, because when he was in there he gave it his all. plain and simple. Sad to see him go.
Hail2em!! |

I agree. Lets stop mourning and move on. Live in the future not the past. He's not coming back. Even though he will be missed. Just turn the page. |
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
I think its acceptable to remember Lavar, he was the face of our beloved organization since being drafted, I admit he didnt play up to our expectations of him but he was still always excited about being a redskin...
As for memories, I will never forget when I met Lavar at training camp and he came over to talk with my down syndrome cousin and talked with him for about 10 minutes, really down to earth guy... |

YES! |
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
The INT vs Carolina and the Sack/Fumble/Fumble recovery against the Rams in 2002.
|
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
Ill never forget the first time I learned how to spell his name.
|

LOL |
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
****, canthetuna, you beat me to it! Almost didn't read the thread, glad I did!
Seriously though, I loved LaVar's ability as a player, hated his lack of leadership and fact that he was out of position. For every huge play that had me on my feet, he had another play that had me wondering why he was running past the sidelines. |
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
First came to mind was the Carolina interception. The best one would best Aikman hit.
|
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
LaVar let me know that at Eastern Motors my job is my credit. Thanks LaVar!
|
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
I second the Carolina play.
|

Indeed. Who among us will forget the time we first read about LiVar and said "Levvar who?" With time, the name LaVir Arrington would become etched in our collective consciousness. So today, I salute you, Łæڸǻř. :D |
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
definataly the Troy hit
|
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
The thing I'll remember is that his name is spelt "LaVar" not Levar
Him closeline tackling McNabb 3 years ago, he closelined him in the chest and threw him to the ground... I dont know if any1 else remembers that |
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
all the missed tackles
|
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
How much it sucked the day they announced he would no longer be a Redskin.
|
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
Ok I'll go along but I think we should stop all Lavar threads until he is signed by another team and limit that to just one and maybe another after the season has started. Then we all can say how great he's playing or that its good we got rid of him beacuse he is doing nothing.
The hit on Troy. |
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
His enthusiasm and love for the game and the Redskins organization.
|
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
Yeah, I'm going to surpress all the times he pissed me off into a bitter little ball and flush it down the toilet in my mind.
I'll just remember the early retirement hit on Troy. |
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
the interception against carolina and saying all the right things when the skins were horrible
Yeah, this is my LaVar memory, too. He single-handedly woke up a dead 0-5 team that sunny afternoon. |
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
The thing I'll remember is that his name is spelt "LaVar" not Levar
The thing I'll remember is that this word is spelled "spelled." This thread is starting to get amusing! |
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
But seriously, what I'll always remember about him is the emotion. It could be a great thing when he was fired up and laying a huge hit on a RB. But it could also be a bad thing, causing him to say things he'd later regret and causing him to get caught out of position on some plays.
|
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
I'll remember the good and bad.
Very talented player, explosive at times, high emotions, fan favorite, big hitter. Also a bit of a crybaby at times, stuck his foot in his mouth too often, a bit of an enigma, relied too heavily on his physical talents at times. Sadly, most of all what will stick out to me is unfullfilled potential. |
LaVar let me know that at Eastern Motors my job is my credit. Thanks LaVar!
I'll never forget the first time I saw the Easterns commerical with him sitting in a tiny car, fiercly looking into the camera, and lip synching along with the theme song. I was both horrified and amused. I'm sad to see him go. Does his departure mean that customer service at Eastern Motors will suffer? |
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
UH.......I will miss sticking up for him out here, and getting pummeled all the time!! glad thats over...or is it?
|
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
No, it's not. Asshole. ;)

Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
The Aikman Hit.
|
Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
Yeah. The Aikman hit...but "the interception" was pretty good too.
|
Basically, just post a single play or off field event, or series of the previously mentioned. I'll start:

Re: The "The one thing I will remember about Levar" thread
Or MY boy, Levar.

Re: The "The one thing I will remember about LaVar" thread
ok I just had to correct the spelling of his name. Sorry it just irked me too much even though it was making for some good jokes.
The least we can do for one of our more popular players in recent memory is not butcher the spelling of his name. That doesn't irk me as much as people mispelling Darrell Green's name. Daryl, Darell, Darrel |
