Re: Condi Rice for NFL commissioner???

Yeah and then we can sacrifice some more buildings because of it. |
Re: Condi Rice for NFL commissioner???
After how Iraq has gone, I'd hate to see her negotiate a labor deal in 6 years...

What do you mean by how it's "gone?" |
What do you mean by how it's "gone?"
Simple... Tags created a coalition of owners and pushed the labor deal through. On the other hand, Iraq has been a series of mis-steps in every phase: diplomacy, planning, PR, and execution. Do I need to say, "Mission Accomplished?" No matter what you think about Saddam, you have to agree Operation Iraqi Freedom has not gone exactly to plan... |

Clinton did not cause 9/11 to happen. Bush is far more culpable. See the memo, "Bin Laden determined to attack inside US" given to Bush early in his presidency.... |

"Bin Laden determined to attack inside US" gives us about as much information as a memo to all NFL owners saying "Giants determined to win Super Bowl." But lets try our best to keep this from coming political. |

Re: Condi Rice for NFL commissioner???
ralph nader for nfl commish
|
Re: Condi Rice for NFL commissioner???
I think you can see by how this discussion has gone that Condi would be a controversial choice.
The NFL is an old boys' network, and an old boy will be the next commish. |
Re: Condi Rice for NFL commissioner???
Political figures should stay within their realm, sports figures within theirs. While I didn't always agree with Tags' decesions, they were great ones. I say we go to Georgetown and find outselves another bench player from the basketball team to be our NFL commish.

Re: Condi Rice for NFL commissioner???
masters got it right on the money ,good ole boy from the good ole boy network.besides, rice hasnt figured out how to do her day job yet.

"sounds like a mexican dish to me. Why don't we put her on a plate and send her to mexico, so the mexicans can eat herr...WHITEE POWEERRR!!"
lolll |
Re: Condi Rice for NFL commissioner???
Lots of nice pot shots going back and forth here, but what do people think about her as a potential commissioner?
I think her biggest problem arises in the type of preconceived bias that is taking root in this thread. Personally, I believe Condoleeza Rice could be a very good commsioner, but unfortunately she has had such a high visibility job in the past that no matter how good she performed in the position, her efforts would never be acknowledged by half of the critics. I think the same would be true for anyone in a similar position. |

Oh yeah, and she's a chick in a sport that's 100% male in ownership, front office staffs, and players. Right or wrong, there's a lot of red flags in her resume. |
Re: Condi Rice for NFL commissioner???
Personally it would be idiotic for her to have that position. What would be next, pink ribbons on the helmet? But to hear politics come into it? That is even more comical. All politicians (and lawyers) are liars but to hear Democrats complain about it?? Stained dress boy was impeached for lies and Ted Kennedy is a murderer so don't even bring that garbage in here.
I have a better chance of being the commissioner. |
Re: Condi Rice for NFL commissioner???
grim you make alot of wild accusations without facts to back you up.right now our deficit is the worst its ever been,EVER.and that,my friend,is a fact.but i agree with,no to bringing the political side into the football management.besides m strahan would get special treatment because they both go to the same dentist
