:vomit-smi |
this is not good....
this could suck big time cuz if he signs with the postons, it could really send our chances of getting him in camp on time :Flush:
do u think he purposely waited til after he was selected to do this? |
I wish it said why he switched agents. I hope he doesnt sign with the Postons. Im really surprised that he got rid of Rosenhaus. Rosenhaus always gets players top money. I dont know what could have already happened that made him want to switch.
When is the next camp? |
I don't he did this on purpose. There's no point in speculating right now why he did this, because nobody knows what happened between the two of them. I do think it would be sending the wrong sign to the skins if he does sign with the pussies i mean postons.
When is the next camp?
june 4th through the 6th i believe |
Thanks
well, we'll see who we sign on the 1st that might make an appearence there. |
Very odd. He should be in the next mini camp, as the article said that "real" negotiations don't begin until later in the summer. It's training camp that's the worry. Let's hope he takes that guy that Danny-boy gets along with!
I'm not gonna read too much into this until we get all the details. All I know is Rosenhaus is one of the best, if not the best agent in the business right now, so somthing bad must of happend for him to get the axe.
taylor fires rosenhaus
This really worries me. And two things puzzle me the most. First, what could have happened that Taylor fired him only two days after being drafted? I almost makes it sound as though he was unhappy with the draft. Secondly, how was it kept a secret for so long? I've got a bad feeling about this whole thing.
I heard that the reason Taylor switched was because Rosenhaus had a nervous breakdown and wrote a mission statement in which he declared that agents needed to have closer relationships with their clients, and it should be about the relationship between athlete and agent and now just the money.
Where did you read that Drift? got a link?
haha, SHOW ME THE MONEY! What a great movie. The link can be found at www.jerrymaguire.com
It will be cool. There is no more leverage for a safety then Sean Taylor already has.
Damn it, I was just about to buy a Taylor jersey.
Nice Jerry Maguire allusion Drift! LOL!

hey Joe Redskin, here is a quarter, buy a clue |
hey Joe Redskin, here is a quarter, buy a clue
i 2 didn't get the maguire refrence cuz i know i don't remember the plot of an only so-so movie who's only good qualities were the show me the money scene and any scene with kelly preston. |
It occures to me that it would be in the Postons interest to get Taylor, #5 pick so they can jack the Browns visa-vie Winslow, at #6.
I just want Taylor to get signed soon, so hes at camp, learning the playbook. And so he gets a jersey out there that I can buy.
I hope whoever his agent is they ask for a realistic price. I understand wanting to get cash early because you never know what could happen, but don't have him hold out. That hurts everybody!

Berg - Never saw the movie, have no desire to see the movie, didn't know it was a reference to the movie. No need to be insulting about it. |
dont let him disuade you from seeing it. I never wanted to see it either, I was never a big Tom Cruise guy, but I love Cuba Gooding Jr and was confinced to see it and have watched it several times since. Its about football and crooked agents, a great movie for any Skins fan...stupid Postons and Jimmy Sexton...
Cuba Gooding's pivotal roll came in Snowdogs. He was able to enthrall audiences with his witty since of humor. Talking dogs, who'd a thunk it!
I didn't catch the Jerry Maguire reference either, but I figured it was something like that, I really didn't believe that Rosehaus had a breakdown, LOL.
I wasn't a huge fan of the movie, I thought it was a little overrated. I think the whole 'show me the money' thing just annoyed me and how everyone was saying it for a while. |

snow dogs, LOL :laughing- |
Pasquerelli is reporting that Taylor may sign with Eugene Parker of Maximum Sports Mgmt., with whom Dan Snyder has a decent working relationshipt.

let's keep our fingers crossed |
I read somewhere that the Player union is looking into Poston and a couple other agents. The NFLPU is upset of the mistakes made by the agents representing Lavar and Terrel Owens just to name a few. Upshaw says he wants better screening of agents. I can't believe anyone would sign with Postons. Who wants an agent where half the teams in the league don't want to deal with the guy?
I'm sure it's a charisma thing. Those guys probably have a player thinking he's God after meeting with him. I know a used car salesman that's the same way. Sells nothing but junk, but has so many return customers because he's got great charisma. Even got me once...once. :-)
kingerock I'm sorry your stuck in that state.(lost in Texas for 20 years.) The Postons SUCK!!!!! I agree with you.
Has Taylor decided on a replacement yet?
