Ramsey coming home

Wonder how the fans will respond when Ramsey comes onto the field at Fedex when we take on the Jets in the 2nd preseason game? Also i wonder how he will feel being on the visitors sidelines and locker room?

i certainly hope the fans treat him with respect.

I agree, he was a class act here. He could have complained or forced his way out, but he didn't. He handled everything with class. If I were going to be at the game, I would certainly cheer for him.

i cant really see anyone involved with the skins having nothing but praise for ramsey.the way he handled him self while in washington was nothing but professional and class.i hope he starts for the jets(offiss, are you listening?)

He's a good guy but....in GREEN.
Sack him and do a little dance over him.

lol
sorry R Ram!

Re: Ramsey coming home

People will clap politely for him when he gets on the field. Then cheer when he throws a pick or gets sacked...

Re: Ramsey coming home

He was a fan fav, I can't see the fans giving him nothing but respect. But once the game begins he's the enemy, that's just the way it goes.

Re: Ramsey coming home

I'd applaud him. I'd even cheer when he completed a pass against us in a preseason game. If it were regular season though, I'd look at him just like he was Drew Brees or Carson Palmer or any other QB. When the chips are down, I only appreciate those in the B&G.

I would cheer my ass off for him until the whistle blows. Then its game time. But it is preseason, so I might also give him some silent props if he had a good game.

Wonder about something worth wondering about. Who cares. Our D is going to scare him to death.... He's not a Redskins anymore. Bye bye!

Re: Ramsey coming home

I will definitely clap for him when he takes the field, because he deserves that much respect. However, once the play starts he's just another QB that I want to see flat on his back, craning his neck to see his INT returned for a touchdown.

Re: Ramsey coming home

Same here. I want to see a replay of his years here.

Second quarterback seems to always be the most popular in Washington....as for myself, if I were there. He is no longer a Redskin and I have no feeling whatsoever for him.

TheMalcolmConnection 03-31-2006 11:15 AM

Re: Ramsey coming home

True, as with any team the second quarterback is who everyone calls for when the team is losing.

It will be odd seeing him in green and white wish him well except against us.it's too bad, i really wanted it to work

Re: Ramsey coming home

He will be respected and get a good ovation. I wouldn't expect any harsh words or boos, but I do expect someone from the D to lay him out at least once.

Funny thing is, I agree. BUT....coming from a Bears fan? Get the hell out of here bro, I have three words that'll put you to bed: Grossman, Orton, Blake. Your guys make Ramsey look like Montana.

the bears are also the team that offered a 1st rounder for ramsey.

Snyder screwed Ramsey even the day he was traded! Coles at least was offerd a PLASMA TV. Wish Pat all the best. I have meet him Twice both times on a golf course and was a very humble guy.

Hey guys, without having to scroll through the 300+ posts on the official NFL free agent signings thread, can someone briefly explain the NY Jets-Atlanta-Denver trade?

Didn't the Jets also get Matt Shaub?

Denver was simply the middle man:

Jets get 29th overall pick in the draft, give up Abraham

Falcons get John Abraham plus Denver's third round pick and a fourth rounder (either this or next), and give up the 15th overall pick

Broncos get 15th overall pick, giving up 29th overall pick plus a third and a fourth.

The Broncos got a great deal, with the Falcons getting their guy, and the Jets arguably getting jipped depending on how much one values John Abraham. Schaub is still a Falcon.

He's a great guy, but I think he can't handle his nerves.. I really don't see him handling stress very well... sorry. I'm glad he's gone.

Re: Ramsey coming home

Ramsey may have been a class act w/ a cannon for an arm. But, he made bad decisions and threw into double coverage too much. I wish the best for him... somewhere else.

DM,

What's the word on your Parole Board Hearing?

P. Ram isn't with us any longer, but we still keep up with him, kind of like checking on your Parole Board situation.

I believe his problem was that he never matured as a player. He still plays like a rookie and still makes "rookie" mistakes. He seems to be eternally stuck in his rookie year. If he ever gets past that, he could be a good QB for someone, but I'm glad he's out of our uniform in the meantime.

Yeah, watch this be another Stan Humphries turnout. Oh well, I want to see what Campbell can do!
