What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
I know it sounds crazy, and unrealistic for this, and pardon me
But if in case Vince Young fall to us at no. 53 (because of the low score on W.T). Do you think we will pick him up. |
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
no...why? do you remember that auburn was undefeated in campbel's senior year
|
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
No, we just picked up a QB last year in the 1st round. Gibbs even wouldnt start Young yet, hell, Gibbs isnt ready to start Campbell yet...
|
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
No.
|
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
.....................cmon now
|
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
YES!!!...and when the coaches come back from the crack binges they're on, we can probably trade him for something better
|
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
What is the point of the question? Is it a roundabout way of asking if we have confidence in Campbell? There is ZERO chance he drops to 53 so this is a stupid silly question. If we want to discuss our QB situation bring it up in a meaningful context not in some imaginary fairytale world. I can see our man Huddle asking something like this.
|
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
i wouldnt want him in the 5th round
|
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
Yeah, but honestly, I'd rather have Reggie Bush drop to 53. I think Portis and Bush would make a great one-two punch.
</sarcastic rant> |
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
why stop at bush when we can trade our 53rd pick for the entire steelers roster...
|
why stop at bush when we can trade our 53rd pick for the entire steelers roster...
That's just silly man. You know we'd have to throw in Aki Jones. Seriously That Guy, I thought you knew your shit. The #53 and Aki Jones gets us the entire steelers roster...and maybe a terrible towel. |
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
I'd like to go forward in time and find out which players will be impact players and pick them in the draft.

You honestly believe we would pick up Vince Young if he fell to us? |
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
I will do my best to not verbally slap you in the face for asking that. But why would we draft another quarterback that would be our starter within the next two seasons, after just drafting QB Jason Campbell?
IF IF IF Vince were to drop that far, the best option for the redskins would be to trade the pick at that point to a team who would want him...but, if he fell to the 53 pick, then he might as well fall to the 7th round like Danny Worthless, oh excuse me I mean Danny Awful, once again, i meant Danny Wuerffel...remember him, heisman winner senior year at Florida, then got signed when the ole ball coach came here? Yea, that guy, that is how Vince would be modeled if he fell to the 53 spot. |
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
thatguy, what is funny is that right now i really prefer our roster over the steelers roster
|
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
Last year, there was some contentious debate up until the moment of the pick whether to take Alex Smith or Aaron Rogers with the first overall pick. The 49ers chose Smith, and Rogers (who sat next to Smith in the Green Room) went... 24th, to the Packers.
Will Young fall to 53? No, but that doesn't mean that someone isn't going to fall precipitously. There are as many draft experts as there are mock drafts, and the only consensus is that Bush will go first. Probably. Somebody in somebody's top twenty will be available at 53, so this isn't as crazy a topic as it sounds. The question becomes do we take the best player available if that position is absolutely solid? If LenDale White is there, do we take him? If Senorice Moss is there, do we take him? In the days leading to the draft, anything can happen. Young could have an interview saying he wants to race motorcycles in the offseason, and be available in the second. Leinart could twist his knee coming out of a chi-chi nightspot and slip in the draft. Reggie Bush could join the Klan, and, well, still go number 1. Point is, anything can happen. |
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
If meteors fell and simultaneously destroyed all 31 stadiums other than FedEx, would the NFL automatically give Washington the Lombardi trophy?
.........the odds are about the same. |

Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
Nicely done TAFKAS :thumb:
However, what about the fact that the Saints technically have two stadiums until the Superdome is officially ready again? That would make it 31, wouldn't it? |
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
I know the offseason is a little slow right now, but this thread is really reaching.

Yeah, and we could all tear our ACLs while going for a jog on the beach. This thread is laughable. |
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
Of course. Then we trade him shortly thereafter to HOU for both of thier third rounders.
|
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
Young drop to #53?? Ok
|
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
If a player that has a huge upside and potential drops to us but not at a position of need, take them. Either weork them into your roster or try to play them enough that you could get more than you paid.
|
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
The big question is what do we do if Bush falls to #53?
 |

No, we take the best pick to fill our biggest need. Now if we have an older player like springs and there is a good corner still there then maybe go that direction but we should not go after the best player because they are still there. |
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
Young dropping to #53 would be an all-time draft day shocker.
|
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
Not worth firing up a synapse to think about.
|
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
this is the car crash thread - you know its ugly but can't keep from turning your head to look at it!
but yeah, i'd take vy at 53 |

I'll give you the 53rd pick in the draft so long as Vince Young is there for the taking. |
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
He I know it probably isn't going to happen, but what if no one selects Reggie Bush, should we take him? Lets waste about 3 hours on this one.
come on dude, is this the best we can come up with to talk about? I know its down to the nitty gritty, but damn! |
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
Come on guy's lets be serious.
If we could just get Adam Sandler to be are water boy. We wouldn't even need a Q.B. That way we could draft Reggie Bush when he slips to 53. Sandler quote,"It was pretty cool to go to work everyday in shoulder pads and a helmet. Football is awesome.":benched: |

He's gonna be eligable for the draft maybe not the nfl but he looks as much like a girl as troy palomalu and he seemed to play hard so... man this thread is going nowhere |
Re: What if Vince Young drop at no. 53. Do we pick him up
How about if the Pats wanted to trade Brady even for Brunell would you take the deal or ask for a draft pick to go along?
|

So due to the fact he looks like a girl we should get him? LOL
Just giving you shit, it's just how you phrased it. |

We would need at least the 1st round pick for the next 3 years. |
