Golic: Quarterbacks
Sean Salisdouchebag: Adjusting to new offense

Did Snyder get it right?
Salisdouchebag: Fact
Golic: Fiction

Will Jason Campbell start at sometime this season?
Salisdouchebag: Fact

Will Gibbs coach longer than Parcells?
Salisdouchebag: Fact

Sorry I missed the segment. Here's my take on what's in the Reply (and thanks for the Reply):
Major problems for us

Clayton: no depth at corner I agree, this is a concern.
Golic: Quarterbacks I do not agree.
Sean Salisdouchebag: Adjusting to new offense. Do not agree. The O will not change radically, but better use of the talent.

Did Snyder get it right? Wrong question. Right question: Did GIBBS get it right? Right answer: YES!
Salisdouchebag: Fact
Golic: Fiction

Will Jason Campbell start at sometime this season? To be determined.
Salisdouchebag: Fact
Golic: Fiction

Will Gibbs coach longer than Parcells? To be determined. Gibbs will be at the top of Redskins football operations for the length of his contract; longer I hope.

Thanks Big C for the recap.

NW state CB is pittman, who might still be there when we pick in the 5th (so why waste a 2nd on him??)

I hate how shallow and superficial these 2minute bits on espn are.

adjusting to a new offense? did you mention that saunders and his son are the ONLY new coaches, so its probably closer to scheme tweaking and new playcalling then an entire "blow it up and try again" change. There will be some adjustment, but our question mark at QB and some of our depth issues are a much bigger deal.

someone said something else stupid, but i forgot what it was.

oh yeah, someone said the spending hasn't worked thusfar, but marcus washington, shawn springs, cedric griffin, santana moss, casey rabach, clinton portis...

I guess having to have something superficial to say to casual fans that don't really care precludes actual analysis a lot of times :/

How are they not deep at corner? They have three legitimate starters and a guy who has filled in as a starter on multiple occasions. Also, I firmly believe that Taylor could be used as a #1 corner.

Well they use him as the nickel. When he almost ran the TD back on San Fran he lined up on Brandon Lloyd in the slot.

I do not think Taylor could play corner well throughout a game, let alone be a #1 corner???? If you look at times when the Skins had Taylor play close to the line, he gets smoked or put out of position. His size, and style of player are not suitable for the CB position in this NFL.

That was also a very bad throw, and the INT that Taylor made was not bc of his great coverage, but bc of the poor throw.

But wasnt that bc either the Skins were in a zone, or he manned up on Moss after Moss was in the secondary? Either way it doesnt matter if you can "outjump" anyone, if you have ST playing corner, bump and run, then he is not fast enough to stop a receiver on the line, and his feet are not quick enough to adjust to moves the WR will make early in his pattern.

Re: NFL Draft Special about to talk about us ESPN

You seriously think that? I'll give you that he "might" not have the right quickness to adjust (even though I'm only giving THAT a 5% chance). He's one of the fastest players on the team AND he is a player in the secondary. That alone means he has speed and foot quickness. The reason he is at safety is so he doesn't have to always be man-to-man with someone and can make plays all over the field.

I really think ST could not adjust quickly if he was playing man to man, up close to the line. I am not saying he isnt fast enough, but in the secondary ST has more time to react, as compared to a CB. I think he isnt nimble and agile enough to adjust to quick moves by the WR.

ST ran a 4.51 at his pro day.
carlos rogers ran a 4.44...

ST could cover guys like Owens and boldin but he would get smoked by guys like s.moss and s.smith.
