Yeah I will have to as well, this is really frustrating to me, but Sin.Moss is really tiny, I think we will be alright in stopping him, as long as we get to Eli quick enough, I expecting tons of mistakes on his part.

I don't think we look worse, BSB. We got the WRs we needed, a good SS, a replacement for Lavar who looks to be the sort of guy Williams likes, and we got some vet depth. And we still have the late rounds and late FA for depth. Plus Campbell is waiting in the wings. Not to mention Al Saunders, who will have a bigger impact than anyone who entered the division, IMO.

We don't build in the draft, we build in FA. That's our current strategy. It makes draft day seem like a let down where everyone else gets good, but I like the strategy. Go with proven talent, and fill the hole when needed. We'll see if it works!

i agree, i actually said the same thing earlier to a friend. the only thing is at the beginning of the day we looked like in good position to be front runners. I think the eagles did a great job and the giants did a good job. I am scared thats all.

While I didn't want to see Sinorice Moss in a Giant uniform either, our ability to answer and defend against him went up too. Andre Carter will give us a better chance to put more pressure on Eli Manning, while Archuleta and Kenny Wright are improvements over Ryan Clark and Walt Harris.

Whatever the Giants do to bolster their offense, I think we've already out paced them with improvements to our defense. Overall, the Skins are still on top if you ask me.

i don't think we will see much of lil moss until toomer phases out. i mean he will see playing time but we don't really need to worry about him for at least another year or two.

man! you took the words and thoughts right outta my mouth. his bro helped his stock as well as other smallish wr. he cetainly appears to belong at this level but he got a few extra duckies in his pocket because of the play of smaller wr in 05.

I really, really, don't understand why the giants took mathias kiwanuku. It's not like they don't have one of the best starting defensive end tandems in the league. And plus they just drafted Tuck last year. I dunno, maybe they thought their 3rd string defensive end depth is pretty bad, so they should stock up on it.

maybe they think MK can replace trahan and tuck can't... its not like they have lots of obvious gaping holes... mosts guys had them taking a RB for depth or WR there (and they got their guy at WR anyways).

Undoubtedly. I think they got the most value from their picks. While the Jets made out well too, the Eagles got the most value from their picks. The only team that might have done better is the Cardinals.

They've got Tuck, but Strahan has 2 seasons left. Kiwanuka could be a geat pick; he was projected to go high in the 1st round before his sub-par senior season.

I am only talking about a few inches, but Sin.Mos is TINY! He is 5-8, even I am bigger than him. And I dont think he is more than 180 max, this guy is smaller than Santana and Steve Smith, by a lot I think. I do think after a certain high, say past 5-9 or 10 its gotta be harder for you. Maybe the tighter interference rules will help him, but I still gotta think he is a bit overhyped.

Well, have they already given up on Tuck after one season, in which he probably didn't play much due to the great play of the starters? I mean, it's not like Osi is getting old, he's only been in the league for 3 years.

broncos got cutler and a true proven #1 (though he'll cost a ton).

rams had a VERY good outing (4-5 starters, depending on whether they go 2 TE or 3 WR):
tye hill CB
jon alston OLB
claude wroten DT (talent, but some arrests)
dominique byrd TE
joe klopfenstein TE

they aren't kidding about trying to fix that D either.

I still wish we had him. We could cut Patten and go with the "Moss Bros Connection." It's bad enough the Gmen have LaVar but hopefully Carlos will rough the rookie up and we all know that Sin. Moss be looking for Sean Taylor and Archuletta when he comes over the middle.

I would suggest just the opposite.

Two of the three teams in our division drafted players they [u]need[/u] to contribute in the first year. The Eagles will be in big trouble if they don't get impact minutes out of Bunkley, and Justice may unseat Tra Thomas. The Cowboys will need significan't time from Fasano (who will be taking the 2nd TE spot), and Carpenter should start opposite Ware.

The problem with that is that counting on rookies to be integral members of a championship squad is an absolute crapshoot. While first round busts get all the press, players from all over the board wash out every year. Expecting excellence from draftees is good, requiring it for success ultimately leads to disappointment.

I thought taking Kiwanuka was a brilliant pick. The way defensive ends can flame out on an instant is all the more reason to take him. Sooner or later, Strahan will start showing his age. If you're set pretty much everywhere else, and the Giants are for the most part, then you've got to take the best player you believe is available.

Now, let's apply that philosophy to offensive tackle: Assuming we were set at linebacker, and according to Gibbs, that was the one area where we were a little "thin", Winston Justice would have been a perfect pick for us -- assuming we still made the trade to move up to #35. Samuels and Jansen are the bookend tackles who we can depend on to anchor our line for more seasons to come. But having a highly rated backup who can learn the system, perhaps play some at guard when he's needed, and be there when one of them gets injured can be a vital aspect to any team. The same is true for the Giants at defensive end, or any other team at any position.
