Re: Anybody Here Watch Wrestling ????
Piper's Pit was classic. He would always end up housing whoever he interviewed, LOL.

Re: Anybody Here Watch Wrestling ????
matty, do you remember in pipers pit when superfly snuka got housed with a coconut across the head? that was more than halarious
|
Re: Anybody Here Watch Wrestling ????

Re: Anybody Here Watch Wrestling ????
Was anyone else at the WCW Smackdown at MCI back in 1998 (I think that's what year it was)?
Two of the funniest "sports" moments I've ever seen in person happened there: Goldberg, who was a huge up-and-comer at that point, speared some Mexican dude in a skeleton custome and seriously injured his knee, but they didn't stop the match; and Sting joined the NWO by 'ripping' off his t-shirt to reveal a NWO shirt underneath. It was funny because he couldn't get the shirt ripped in half like Triple H in that Man Law commerical, until he remembered that the pre-cut part was at the bottom. I used to be so into wrestling in the late 90's that it was sort of sick. |
Re: Anybody Here Watch Wrestling ????
let us never forget these two goobers...

Re: Anybody Here Watch Wrestling ????
My favorite was Junkyard Dog (RIP) and the lovely Miss Elizabeth (RIP)
I think the Iron Sheik is running for some political office in Maryland, if I remember correctly |
You can add John "Earthquake" Tenta of the Natural Disasters to that list who passed away yesterday. I'm a fairly big wrestling fan, although all the tragedy has finally began to deter me away from it a little bit. I'll flip it on if I'm home. |

Actually I was pretty upset LOL When I was a kid I was convinced wrestling was real |
Re: Anybody Here Watch Wrestling ????
This has nothing to do with this thread, but this just happens to be the one that I'm looking at right now:
TO is now on the NBA telecast, from Dallas, wearing a Miami jersey. What a dick move. Sorry for the fact that this had nothing to do with anything, I've been drinking... Hacksaw Jim Dugen Beat Cancer, word, Live Strong, HHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH! |
Re: Anybody Here Watch Wrestling ????
all you need now is a 2*4
|
Re: Anybody Here Watch Wrestling ????
Anyone remember SD "Special Delivery" Jones?
Dude was a fan favorite scrub who lost every week! I always felt so bad for the guy. |
Re: Anybody Here Watch Wrestling ????
What about Gill? I forgot his last name but he was always on there.
|
Re: Anybody Here Watch Wrestling ????
Duane Gill...or Gillberg! Hilarious
Nah, Mean Gene wasn't a wrestler...you can thank Jesse "The Body" for his nickname wasn't at the WCW event in '98, but went to Starrcade in '97, when Goldberg whipped Steve McMichael's ass, and Sting beat Hollywood Hogan for the World Title. You think Nascar is full of rednecks...take in some wrestling live. in college...we used to run dueling TVs in our common room, so that we could watch Monday Nitro and Monday Night Raw...AMD should remember that. |
Re: Anybody Here Watch Wrestling ????
And let us not forget the following:
Ric Flair (27 billion time World Champion) Dusty Rhoades Andre the Giant (and all the little midgets he used to wrestle) The Von Erich boyz The Road Warriors (Animal and the other guy) George "The Animal" Steel (rip) Haha, love these memories of Sat nights on TBS. |
Re: Anybody Here Watch Wrestling ????
Animal and Hawk.
|
Re: Anybody Here Watch Wrestling ????
Was The Animal that guy who always chewed on the turnbuckles?

We got a chance to make it to Backlash and Summerslam when Austin came back. I also saw the first TLC match. |

George "The Animal" Steele was the guy that chewed on the buckles and always had a green tongue....frickin hilarious. |

Re: Anybody Here Watch Wrestling ????
I've been watching since I was a kid. 29 years into life and I can't let it go. I know it's fake but it's fun to watch. My sister is taking me to Wrestlemania next year for my Wedding present too. I definitely get my nerd up when it comes to wrestling. Just like I do when it comes to the Redskins... well not that much but I turn into a nerd none the less. When they come to DC we go and have a ball.
It's funny how George "The Animal" Steele was a college professor ! As a child I just knew he was a psycho ! |
