hopefully he will forget he is addicted to that crap... |
Re: Manley Recovering from Brain Surgery
Wow, let's hope he make a full recovery.

Re: Manley Recovering from Brain Surgery
Sad Story, best wishes.

Re: Manley Recovering from Brain Surgery
I loved Manley. His life has been such a disaster. I hope he gets well and can become a member of the Redskins family again. He is a good guy.

Re: Manley Recovering from Brain Surgery
For those who were to young to remember him, Dexter was a monster on the field. He was a premier sacker and caused major trouble for offensive lines around the league.
The combo of Mann and Manley at each DE was a sight to behold. His drug troubles are well documented and the fact he got through 16 yerars of school with out being able to read is a sad reflection on the "must win at all costs" side of organized sports. Get well Dex!! |
Re: Manley Recovering from Brain Surgery
In case you missed it the first time around, here's a pretty good article about what he's been up to the last few years.

Re: Manley Recovering from Brain Surgery
Very sad to hear. I wish him all the best for a quick recovery.

Re: Manley Recovering from Brain Surgery
I forgot that Dex played a year for the Cards. Hope he makes a full recovery.
|
Re: Manley Recovering from Brain Surgery
Best wishes for a speedy recovery "72."
|
Re: Manley Recovering from Brain Surgery
I wish the best for Dexter as well.
Why the hell does ESPN attach a picture of him as a Cardinal to the article? It is so obvious that they hate the Redskins. |

He was a tremendous ST player before he got the chance to play DE. |

Well then I expect Emmitt Smith to be in a Cardinals jersey whenever ESPN has an article on him. |

He played with the Bucs after the Cardinals before failing yet another drug test just a few months into his Bucs career. |

Wow, i hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Re: Manley Recovering from Brain Surgery
For a few years Manley was every bit as feared as Lawrence Taylor as a pass rusher and I remember him as the true inspirational leader of a Super Bowl defense. He could take over games. It didn't last long enough and he did it to himself but he'll always be one of my favorite Skin's.
Get well soon employee #72. |
Re: Manley Recovering from Brain Surgery
Manley was a great player and a really nice guy too. He lived right across from my elementary school in Reston back in the 80s. We would play football after school on the field and one time he came out and got in on the game. Hope he makes a full recovery. Nice to know this isn't drug related.

Re: Manley Recovering from Brain Surgery
any way to make an e-card or something and have the whole warpath gang sign it and that way we can represent the site as well as send ole Dex a get well?
|
Re: Manley Recovering from Brain Surgery
With electronic signatures?
It's a great idea if we could figure out how to do it. We could always start an online petition for his recovery. :D |
Re: Manley Recovering from Brain Surgery
I wish him the best. I too remember those days when there was nothing the other teams could do to stop him. I think he played some of his best games jack up on coke.
