What's your favorite light beer?

Mods this needs to be poll, it's offseason and we are bored.

Which one(let's stay American)?

Coors Light
MBL
Natural Light
Bud Light
Miller Light
Other non-American(ie. Corona, Heineken)

MTK 07-14-2006 09:22 AM

Re: What's you favorite light beer?

Heineken light and Corona light are two of my favorites.

Re: What's you favorite light beer?

Natty lite is what I used to drink when i was underage. I cant stand it now that i have a choice.

I would have to go with Miller Light, but i will drink Bud Light if i'm out and thats all that is available

Re: What's you favorite light beer?

I drank light beer once....ONCE!

Actually, for those of you keeping notes, I'm finally starting to acquire a taste for the Corona Light that has been lingering in the 'fridge from two weeks ago.

I'm waiting for Guinness Light to finally come out. HAHA! I wonder what the hell that would taste/look like?

Come on Matty, poll it, you know you want to. Oh yeah, and you might want to fix the error on the title.

I'll never get sick of that reference.
Also, isn' Guinness already relatively light?

I'd have to say my favorite light beer is Amstel Light, because I'm a beer drinker and it's the beer drinker's light beer. The only problem is that the alcohol content is so low that you have to drink like 15 of them just to get a buzz, and that gets pricey.
Natty Light was the shit in college. Too bad they came out with the Natty Light 30-pack 6 months after I graduated.

Yeah the 30-pack is crucial.
Yeah the 30-pack is crucial.
i have said it before, why even waste time with a 6 or 12 pack. even a 24 pack is a waste of time imo. 30 packs are the shit!!!

125 calories and 10g of carbohydrates per 12oz serving - it's not that light

If you saw my gut you'd realize that I really have no idea what is or isn't considered light.

Re: What's you favorite light beer?

I was doing some research just now and one source actually does say that Guinness is considered to be relatively light.

MTK 07-14-2006 10:19 AM

Re: What's you favorite light beer?

Guinness isn't bad when compared to other regular beers. I wouldn't say it's light, but it's better than your typical 12-15 carbs you find in other regular beers.

BDBohnzie 07-14-2006 10:20 AM

Re: What's you favorite light beer?

Guinness is considerably light compared to regular beers...

I won't touch Coors Light unless it's from a keg and I paid 3 bucks to get into the party...

I'm usually drinking Miller Lite or Bud Light. I do like me some Amstel Light. When at Fish Tales in OC, I usually drink $2 High Life Lights...after a few shots of course.

Don't even get me started on Coors light

Re: What's you favorite light beer?

You guys don't like to tap the Rockies?

They were just saying on the radio that the president/owner (maybe both, not exactly sure) of Coors was just arrested for drunk driving. This is the same guy who walks around in the snow in their commericals talking about responsible drinking. I thought that was kind of funny.

Re: What's you favorite light beer?

I've been known to enjoy some Sam Adams light if my options are limited.

Miller Lite here if I have to drink lite beer.

For my senior thesis in college I was thinking about throwing a party and getting kegs of O'Doul's just to see how people reacted. But I figured that would be too much work so I ended up doing a research paper about crack or something like that.

Ginger Ale.

Sam Adams light is good and Miller Lite is cheap and does the trick.

BDBohnzie 07-14-2006 03:57 PM

Re: What's your favorite light beer?

i forgot about Sam Adams Light. It's a decent light beer, but I'd rather have the fullness and flavor of the original. Look for an article with Jim Koch in this month's FHM.

Is Killian's light? Because I just poured 2 into a huge mug and I'm downing it like it's water.

Except for this one, I would never use the words "favorite" and "light beer" in the same sentence.

Perhaps the thread should be renamed "What's your most tolerated light beer?"

Re: What's your favorite light beer?

I actually like Coors Light during the summer. I've always found it has a really crisp, refreshing taste that hits the spot on one of these miserably hot and humid Virginia summer days. It's usually my beer of choice if I'm golfing.

But I guess it doesn't really taste like beer.

It tastes more like heavily-carbonated water.

But ice-cold, heavily-carbonated water tastes really damn good when you're drenched in sweat and dying of thirst!

Favorite tolerated... Yuengling Light or Corona Light (must include lime to provide some actual flavor).

Preferred overall... Guinness, Newcastle, Yuengling Porter, Smithwicks.

Yeah, love to hate on it.

But since JC likes it, that's ok. He's excused from my wrath.

Re: What's your favorite light beer?

I used to buy Coors Light but I dont want to pay 16 bucks for a case. So I paid under 12 for Keystone Light 30 pack (dirty 30) which is about the same thing as CL.
