Meant to post this with the MOST OVERRATED/ Roy Williams thread.... |
Re: Roy Williams REpost PIC!!!
look at the anguish in his face. Moss is doing that with ease. That is sick.

Re: Roy Williams REpost PIC!!!
WOW! I tell ya, this pick brings back great memories. I was at home on the couch with all the lights out, sitting biting my poor little nails, in nothing but a pair of boxers. For some reason, after the first touchdown I had a warm feeling come over me telling me that everything will be alright.
As MOSS made that second grab and run I jumped off the couch like I never have before, and danced like a funky white boy! Before long I was running around my house in nothing but boxers screaming at the top of my lungs, waking anyone in my path, (Including my young children and wife). I tell ya boys, this had to be one of the most memorable evenings of my life. The only one that tops it for me was being at the game stomping the cowboys at the end of the season, with a Roy Williams jersey wearing fan directly behind me. I tell ya, it was nice for a chance to dish it back to those COWGIRLS's this year. (and boy oh boy were they mad). I hope we can give it to them like this again this year. |
Re: Roy Williams REpost PIC!!!
ahh yes. I think we all will remember that game. Some people, from other teams, can't understand why that game is so amazing to us. Nothing in the 17 games before that one could even hint that we were capable of scoring twice and this was dallas. The same dallas that beat us 14 of 15 or whatever that was. We had scored an amazing 9 points in 7 quarters of the season. We were 3rd and 26 and no more than 3 drives(including that one) would happen. We were backed up due to a complete offensive break down which landed brunell on his ass after being spun around. Then brunell ran. We were then at 4th and 2 and use a timeout and we knew gibbs was saying it was now or the game is over. We convert after a rushed throw by brunell. then 4th and 15 and we have to convert. The camara panned the scoreboard just like it would in a movie. It zoomed back and you could see a redskin fan in a portis jersey. We have to convert or we are done with two timeouts. If we don't score we are going to have to score then onside it. Nothing could have hinted what was going to happen, a TD to moss. We suck it up a bit on defense by using two timeouts and giving up a first down. Then they convert a second timeout and the game is basically over. They could run the clock down like no one's business and if we do get the ball back we have no time and they just need to play safe. The play was called back on the holding. Then a play all of us will always remember by that picture. we go on defense after a huge return by them on the return. They need a field goal to win. Sadly we have no timeouts and if they get in range it is over because they will run the clock and kick the game winner. They almost convert on third down but sean t lays the biggest hit i have ever seen, ever. That was insane. That was a fumble. That would have been a TD the other way. But whatever, Sean T keeps them out of field goal range. If they convert that down i am thinking they are going to win. Sean T saves the day. I couldn't believe we would beat them the way they beat us so many times. I was afraid of a horribel defeat on the last play but it didn't happen, we won.

Re: Roy Williams REpost PIC!!!
That picture tells the story of the 2005 Redskins. I am convinced that without that TD, the Skins never have the confidence to go 10-6 and get 2 games away from the Superbowl. Bigskin is right, there was nothing that happened prior to that first TD on 4 down and 15 that would lead you to believe that this was not the same ole 2004 Skins offense.

Re: Roy Williams REpost PIC!!!
Moss was signing that picture at montgomery mall last year before the eagles game. I have always felt like an idiot for not getting that signed. It would cost $20+10 for the picture but it might have been worth it. I just think 10 years from now when i have my redskin room set up that would be an amazing thing to have. I could always look back at it. Like scowan said, that picture represents the 05 season and as far as i am concerned the return to glory. I truly believe we are winning a super bowl within the next two years and i know we will be competitive for both season so this picture is the return to glory picture.
Does anyone know of any posters of this picture that we might be able to buy? I am going to hang it up in my dorm room |
Re: Roy Williams REpost PIC!!!
BSB, if you can find a high resolution version of it, you can use Microsoft Publisher to print out huge posters. I've printed out at least 3 of them on photo paper and they turned out awesome.

Re: Roy Williams REpost PIC!!!
The posters I printed are something like 25.5" x 33" and you can go as big as you want.

Re: Roy Williams REpost PIC!!!
just finished a softball doubleheader, flipped on Sirius drinking beers in the parking lot. left the park at the start of the 4th quarter, came home, showered and got in bed (wife already asleep) and turned the TV on. 6 minutes left in the 4th, i start looking for holes in my eyelids. and then it happened...bomb to Moss for 6. and i got a little excited, but was still cautious. then bomb #2 to Moss. woke the wife up, and probably half the neighbors. went to sleep with a smile on my face...

There are a ton of pictures of this. If any of you have a really good one or a high resolution one please post it up for us. |
Re: Roy Williams REpost PIC!!!
Moss is a baller. Roy got his punk card pulled, twice.

Oh no, no. The posters I made guys are ones of the stadium and the players that I took myself. It's hard to find super high res pictures online. Or at least high res enough to look good blown up like I did. I have some pretty sweet night pics of FedEx that I blew up into poster form. |
Re: Roy Williams REpost PIC!!!
If you guys want some of those however, I'd be glad to post them.

Re: Roy Williams REpost PIC!!!
Yeah TMC. That be cool. All these cribs pictures is going to lead me to try and compete so I have a Skins HQ.

Re: Roy Williams REpost PIC!!!
I remember that night too. A friend of mine who is a Cowboy fan left at halftime laughing and then telling me to make sure that I called him after they won to concede victory and proclaim that Dallas was the better team (it's a thing that we do). I sat on my couch eating chicken, drinking my last couple of MGD's when the Redskins didn't convert on 3rd and 15. My cell phone rang, it was another friend of mine who is a Cowboy fan calling me to gloat. I said to him, "I don't know. I do not know how they always find a way to lose to y'all sorry motherfuckas every time. Y'all are some shit!" I could hear the Cowboy fans screaming in the bacround at the ESPN Zone when Roy Williams was shown pumping up the crowd. Little did he know that he was the large mouth bAss that Gibbs had his eye on for the next play. Brunell stepped back to throw and as the ball left his hand my heart dropped and I said very sadly, " Oh Shit". Something happened,....... they scored. THEY FUCKING SCORED !!! My fiance was sleep at the time so I couldn't yell too loud because my black ass would have caught it ! I got off the phone but not before telling him that he'd better not bitch out and not answer his phone. Just like SkinsDallas I had a feeling that they would win this one. I craked open another MGD and fired one more up. I sat at the edge of the couch and when they scored again I grabbed a pillow off the couch and screamed my lungs out ! I couldn't believe it, they fucking did it ! When Jerry Jones walked off the field sad, I thought about how confident he must have felt when the schedule looked the way that he wanted. When he stood with Michael Irvin, Emmit Smith, and Troy Aikman and smiled. Knowing that everything was perfect, the most perfect day for America's Team. Kinda makes you wonder how the Skins are in Dallas for TO's first regular season game huh ? It was a beautiful sight that day, I went to work with alot of skins gear the next day. I wish I could show you guys the pic !

Re: Roy Williams REpost PIC!!!
and after the second td, i thought for sure dallas gets some half assed pass interference call to put them in field goal range, kicking the fg and winning the game at the end
|
Re: Roy Williams REpost PIC!!!
and that didnt happen, extending to the legend of king gibbs

Re: Roy Williams REpost PIC!!!
I had a very similar experience. I was in a pub playing in my pool league and having everyone around me cheering against me, cause they like how pissed off I get when we are playing Dallas. One friend of mine called after the end of the third, and said he was going to bed but that his Cowboys won again and reminded me of the streak, good thing I did not answer it and left it to my voicemail. My one friend who is a Die Hard Skins fan, was so made he took off his jersey and about two minutes after that, the bomb heard around Cowgirl stadium landed in Moss' arms as he flew past that pathetic excuse for a safety. I got excited but everyone kept me in check telling me that we were still losing. Once we stopped them, I told my Redskins buddy to keep the jersey off and that all we need to do is the same thing cause Roy can not keep up with Santana. Then the next bomb head in the same direction I am yelling "catch it catch it" he does and we are in for another one. I was jumping all over the place hugging my buddy. People thought we were nuts. I also had that thought that the Girls would pull some bs play and end up beating us like they have in years past. but once that final clock hit 0:00 I could not contain my joy. We ran out into the streets of Calgary and sang Hail to the Redskins. Then I called my Cowboy friend and woke him up, told him to never ever call me before the final whistle blows. He did not even know they lost and thought I was kidding, so I got to listen to him watch the highlights on sportscentre and listen to him curse as he could not beleive what we did to them.
God I love that game, but felt better when we beat theirs ass into the ground the next game. A little better on the ole ticker. Hail to us going 14 of 15 to them now. |

Re: Roy Williams REpost PIC!!!
roy williams is so overrated. he probably gets burt the most of any safety in the league but just because hes a cowboy mean instant good hype just like the rest of the cowboys. julius jones is also very over hyped
did you see michael irving on sportscenter talking about how the cowboys are going to the superbowl ,giving the usual reasons like T.O. an bledsoe are going to get along great and it's going to be a match made in heaven. load of bullshit if you ask me. |
Re: Roy Williams REpost PIC!!!
