This is the Year!

There have been several posts trying to curb the enthuiasm of the forum. Guys, this is the year. Yes, today will only be day three of camp, but when the team is about to embark on a journey like ours, everyday is crucial. If Sanatan gets a hammie, we're done, no Super Bowl. If Clinton tweaks his ACL, we're done, no SuperBowl. If Sean gets suspended, we're done. In the NFL (Not For Long) every piece of the puzzle must be in place and fit. Once again, Brunell is the key for our serious run. Jason will be the man next year, but he's just not ready yet. There are some big differences this year that make us the NFC favorite:

1) No matter the opponent, we have a defensive weapon to take away their best threat, Dallas? Sean stifles TO, Giants? Blitz Manning to death and use our to shutdown corners, Philly? Who cares, St.Louis, Shutdown corners, Tampa? D-Line.

2) No one will come close to shutting down our O. Granted, with Brunell, we'll remind folks of the Tampa and B-More teams that won the SB, but when we need a play, we got skills. Cooley, Clinton, Brandon, Ran El, and remeber last year when he was doubled and rolled two, NO TEAM COULD COVER SANTANA!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHA. Nice one.

I just got a chuckle out of that. Unfortunatly it caused the fat girl in the cubical next to me to peer her head around the corner; I had to throw a cookie in the other direction to get her to stop staring me down.

She's the female version of Pig Vomit from private parts. My office also has such beastly women as Tuna, Betty Brocolli, Enormous Alex, It's Just Pat, and the Hot one. If it weren't for the hot one and the lax working environment I would have quit months ago.

HAHAHA. Same here. I take this job for granted. It's a dream job.

you guys making any money, or working for the shear entertainment value?

Re: This is the Year!

I don't make a huge amount of money, but around here it's pretty decent. I'll say it's $35,000+ and not being in NoVa that's pretty decent cash. What I love most about this job is that no one cares when I come or go. I take two hour lunches, spend most of my day on here, and generally fart around all day. Just as long as you get your work done you're good to go. I get five weeks vacation without even having to earn it. It's just delightful.

You are speaking of my broken dreams. J. Anniston is my #1 girl.

ouch unpaid internship... thats rough, and interning before youve ever taken a course at college, thats pretty ambitious...

Re: This is the Year!

I get paid crap and I've already used up my tiny amount of leave so when I go to the beach in a few weeks it'll be unpaid. I generally lack the skills that it takes to make decent money, which is why I live at home. I have a college degree but it's in sociology and I can't play basketball, so that does me no good. I'm actually just too lazy to start looking for a new job as of now.

Re: This is the Year!

Dude, I have a degree in history, and currently manage a DoD website. If I can do it, anyone can use their off-the-cuff degree and get a good paying job. Stop being lazy you bastard...
ouch unpaid internship... thats rough, and interning before youve ever taken a course at college, thats pretty ambitious...
haha, thanks. It was cool because we got to find our internship place and we would get a grade in school for it too. It would also allow you to get out of school earlier to go to your internship. I took some college classes they offered from the community college and that allowed me to get out for even longer. I had like 3 periods of high school classes(not including internship). Which was a good thing.

Re: This is the Year!

Internships = better jobs right after college = more money = more poon

(I didn't do an internship :()

Re: This is the Year!

AMD - the poon part, you're either being boyishly shy and coy, or just plain lazy.

I wonder how paulskinsfan feels this year. I remember last summer him saying he was through being a believer, or something to that extent.

Yay, I made a profile! (and not because someone decided to make fun of me, for once)

SmootSmack 08-05-2006 02:10 AM

Re: This is the Year!

That was my favorite idea for a sitcom so far

ArtMonkDrillz 08-05-2006 02:13 AM

Re: This is the Year!

I just made a new one that I think you might like. It's more of an light action idea though.

ArtMonkDrillz 08-05-2006 02:14 AM

Re: This is the Year!

It's nowhere as good as "Bosom Ballers" though.

SmootSmack 08-05-2006 02:16 AM

Re: This is the Year!

Still like the Bosom Buddies meets Playmakers the best. Part of my job is to listen to lots and lots of show proposals, and every producer always says "It's this meets that."

And more often than not they make the most ridiculous comparisons "It's NFL Live meets Blossom" "It's Days of Thunder meets Fraggle Rock" and so on.

So I couldn't help but laugh when I read your one sentence description.

ArtMonkDrillz 08-05-2006 02:21 AM

Re: This is the Year!

I really wish I was a scummy producer. Alas.

So random, but ESPN reminded me, I've said it before here but I'm going to repeat it anyways. I'm staying at Scott Van Pelt's mom's beach house in two weeks. I find that so weird b/c I see him on TV all the time, but apparently my mom has known him and her for years.
I think I might have to steal some shit and sell it on eBay. Although, that might mean that we can't stay there next year.

SmootSmack 08-05-2006 02:21 AM

Re: This is the Year!

that should be fun. I like SVP. Hope to meet him one day

ArtMonkDrillz 08-05-2006 02:24 AM

Re: This is the Year!

Apparently he's hilarious in person. My mom said the last time she saw him he was wearing a set of fake redneck teeth at a party and acted like nothing was wrong. Think about it, if you were like 65 years old that would be a knee-slapper.
