Where's Christian Fauria?
I haven't heard anything about him since we signed him. It's obvious that Robert Johnson who was injured again last night is having problems staying healthy and Cooley hasn't had had any passes thrown his way, someone give me an update.

Re: Where's Christian Fauria?
Rock got tackled for a loss last night against the jets and riggins said it was Fauria who missed the block. Thtats all i've heard about him

Re: Where's Christian Fauria?
I worry about the blocking ability for our TE's. If Cooley is the best blocker, we have a problem.

Robert Johnson is 6'8. If he can't block, then we are in even bigger trouble since we let Robert Royal go. |
Re: Where's Christian Fauria?
I don't think Johnson's problem is blocking, it's staying healthy

fauria played last night, riggins said he missed a block

Re: Where's Christian Fauria?
Fauria sort of did miss a block. He was squared up with the DE (I believe) and gave a weak ass push to the outside , just where the play was heading. Fauria touched him like the other was it and turns and lets the guy make a tackle in the backfield. Although Rock was the runner so any blocking up front would still get Rock tackled in the backfield. He sucks anyway b/c there was a cut inside that his midget ass couldnt make.

Why you bashing the Rock. The Rock says he is a valuable special teamer for this club and good enough to fill as the number 2 back for this team. The Rock wants to take you back to last season and remind you of St. Louis and a 13 yarder against San Diego. If you smell what the Rock is Cookin!!!!! its all good we all have opinions....lol |
Robert Johnson is 6'8. If he can't block, then we are in even bigger trouble since we let Robert Royal go.
Blocking is about 80% technique. I'll put a 230 LB TE on the goalline if he has great technique and drive. That's something that Royal brought to the table.
I hope Johnson fills that void, but isn't he a converted WR? |

Just taking my time to launch my personal vendetta against as you say the Rock. Yes Rams game 100yds. But Rams defense . Special teams yes thats his bright spot. Rock is a number 2 but not in football. Number 2's need toliets to flush in. When he came around to sign at camp I told him I was cool, and he moved on. |

Re: Where's Christian Fauria?
B/C I want to see production. In the Rams game Rock got off on them but honestly when Portis isnt carrying the ball we dont run worth --ish. I'll open this up to everyone Rock his only contribution is special teams. I want what the Steelers had in Bettis(a Bruiser like Betts hopefully) Parker (speed like Portis though are guy is better) Duce, Haynes.
I want production from our guys so when we can put them all out there we keep the wheels in motion. Im sick of seeing drives end, and obvious non-finger pointing that we didnt have our superstar out there enough is bullshit. I dont think Rock brings anything to table but a little speed and his tackling on special teams. I say give him the backseat to Lumsden as far as offense roles. Lumsden is unproven but I think he can gain yards and be more effective than Rock. I want a flipping Win last night is where this hatred comes from. |
Re: Where's Christian Fauria?
Fauria is a pretty solid blocker, I wouldn't worry.
|
Re: Where's Christian Fauria?
Lumsden could be better than the rock. i wanna see him play more though. he could be that diamond in the rough. it'd be nice since betts won't be a skin this time next year.
|
Re: Where's Christian Fauria?
Janky-
Why would the coaching staff only give him one carry against their scrubs at the end of the game? It didn't even seem like they were interested in evaluating him as a player. I don't think he's making the squad. |
Re: Where's Christian Fauria?
he's been nursing an injury but there has been alot of talk about him in camp. You however do make a good point. I stand down.
|
Re: Where's Christian Fauria?
No need to stand down, two days ago I thought Lumsden would make the squad. I was shocked the coaching staff wouldn't let him play and I have to assume they've got a good reason for it.
You're totally right about the injury which I had (semi) forgot. There's an off chance he wasn't fit to play. Perhaps the 3rd game will bring better news for Lumsden. |

Robert Royal signed a 10 million dollar deal. Quite possibly the most overpaid player in the league. |

I dont see us being able to with restrictions of cap. Seems like Lamont Jordan all over , better use of him if he stays but bigger money calling and thus his production goes down hill and becomes a laughing stock. Something must be going that isnt told about why Lumsden just isnt getting looks anymore. Its a shame. |
