Dude, any nitwit who has ever kicked a ball can kick 10 times better Jose whatchamacallhim. Dallas PAID Vanderjagt to make those kicks but him choking does put a smile on my mug.

I think that he is calling out Dallas for over paying for a KICKER!!!! You are right it is only preseason, but when you are a KICKER at his level you should make kicks, esp. chip shots...

the two positions that is expected to perform in preseason like it is regular season is the 2 kickers. vanderjagt has a sore hamstring but his physche(sp) might be damaged as well

Hey, we're just as worried about Hall. I feel like we might have the Dallas syndrome this year having a crappy kicker. Preseason doesn't affect how your kicker should perform.

In this NFC East a kicker is going to be a must...alot of games between the four teams will be decided by 3 points or less. Let's hope Hall gets his shit together cause we are going to need it.

Did anyone see Ray Finkle, I mean Mike Vanderjagt's interview after the game? He said how he'll be ok and how he has the ability to turn it on when it counts, even though he obviously doesn't, or else he wouldn't choke on every important kick.

You know, it was very similar with Chip Lohmiller. One season he's money on each kick, the next year he's 50/50 -- then he falls off the face of the football earth.

What free agents are you talking about? The Redskins haven't overpaid a ton of free agents since 2000. If you are talking about this past offseason's free agent acquisitions, then you also have to consider the increased cap room insofar as it boosted future contracts. I'm not a big fan of building through free agency, but the Redskins have done a pretty good job of it over the past few years.

As for the Cowboys:

$2M/yr for "that idiot kicker" is a little steep IMHO.
$4.3M/yr for a 30 year-old, fat, and lazy DT (Ferguson) is a little steep too.
$4M/yr. for a 33 year-old, over-the-hill guard (Rivera) is way too much.
$8M/yr. for the biggest ass of a wideout (TO) is laughable.
And let's just forget guys like Marcellus Wiley.

Ok Vand is comming back from a Groin Injury but it looks like it's more in his head than the real groin problem anyway his record speek more so I just a matter of waiting for him to snap out of it.
