Cowboysboard Vs The Warpath (ID# 82572)
PW Rivalry.

Hey I am Blue Star from the Cowboysboard and wanted to get a good competitive league going between our two boards. Im looking to make the draft on Wed night. I have to wait till probably Monday or Tuesday morning to change the time with the holiday weekend and yahoo updating their system. To help me out let me know what times you are interested in drafting live. I am thinking 10pm.

I signed up but The draft time is right in the middle of work and I cant do that is there anyway to make it later in the evening maybe 7 or 8 Eastern time?

yea you gotta change that draft time... it has to be at night time, for both the eastern and central time folks

Yeah I was surprised at Pettiti getting cut, but Dallas picked up Columbo from Chicago last season and gave him a whole year to heal up. He was a former 2nd rounder and now appears to be in top form because he beat out Pettit and Fabini for the starting RT spot.

Pettit did not clear waivers though, he got picked up by the Saints, where his former offensive coordinator is now the head coach.

The Draft time has been offically changed to 10pm Eastern time for Wednesday Sept 6th.

Three runningbacks can be changed Im open to any changes.

I dont know why Rob is gone and they put a rookie on the team. You gotta ask Parcells not me. I would of kept Rob and signed the Rookie to the practice squad.

Pettite was one of the worst Tackles in the league last year. We were forced to give him TE help alot.
His lack of athleticism was exposed this TC in that he had transformed his body - not fat anymore - but still had the same technical issues.
Parcells said that even with his new strength and stamina, talented edge rushers would eat him alive.

He got beat out by Pat McQuistan - who wouldn't have made the practice roster. He stalemated Erasmus James in preseason and started the last two preseason games at LT!
And he got beat by a former first rounder - 2003? - who Chi gave up on due to injuries (Marc Columbo) who is the new starting RT and is as nasty as milk left out in the desert sun. Parcells like that in his OLine.


BTW I joined the Skins Cowboys fantasy league. What do I get when I win?

3 running backs is fine if we have 8 people of less. But more than that we should only have two I feel.

Ok good idea I guess I need to kick someone off because he signed up before I got the idea of Skins Vs Boys. There are 10 spots. Currently 2 spots left about to be three.

I didn't get an email.

Why did you blow away all of the teams? I saw the draft results and they looked fair. I was happy with the team I got from pre-ranking.

What's going on here?

As Commish, you can put everyone back on the proper teams if you were afraid that the draft didn't happen from the Yahoo server being down (if that's what happened).

I think that would be the fairest thing to do. Everyone had plenty of notice to pre-rank and if they didn't, it's their fault. It's not like half of the members missed the draft due to server problems. Everyone was equally affected.

It stinks we have to miss the first week too.

We will have the redraft. I hate to can week one put untill we figure this mess out I have no choice the scoring starts tonight. Now if we can get this done before Sunday which I doubt than I will change it. More people need to respond. In no way do I think the draft was fair at all. The server went down therefore this is the only alternative to it is a redraft. Warrick Dunn going in round 11 is not my idea of a fair draft.

I suggest we draft on the leagues message board.

Really, what "mess" was there? I'm still lost.

Look at the draft results, 19 rounds and my team had all of the positions I needed, so I'm sure everyone else's did too.

Drafting on a message board? That will take FOREVER and you can't expect everyone to be available at the same time due to work schedules and living in different time zones.

Why don't we just use the rosters that the draft gave us? If no one could sign on to draft, we'll ALL equally affected and no one has an advantage.

I don't get it.

As for a new league "before Sunday's games"...the season starts TONIGHT. It won't work.

I'm not being rude, but so what. That's where he went based on Yahoo's rankings and our own pre-rankings. If you wanted him in the 5th round, you could've moved him up in your pre-rankings.

The league shouldn't be run based on the Commissioner's opinions.

I for 1 didn' see what my prerank draft gave man.... and buster even if it start tonight we ca nhave the draft tomorrow the only bad things is that you would get 0 points for any miami or pitt player you draft think of it as 2 bye weeks

I'm glad Yahoo is letting us have another draft, but I wish we didn't have to miss a week.

We should've just kept the draft results. There ARE things called free agency, waivers and trades, you know.

Who had a problem with it anyways? I didn't see anything on this board or the league's page.

If you dont like the time, the missing a week, the redraft then please leave. Many people wanted an late time. If it doesnt fit you why did you sign up. You do not have to do anything you dont want or like.

No, I want to be in it...I just didn't expect the league to have so many problems just getting started.

Future suggestion: As Commish, if you're going to change league settings or do something drastic like drop all teams' rosters, ask us or at least give us a heads up first. I'm sure I'm not the only one who signed on the morning after the draft to see empty rosters and no explanation posted on the league page. It's just considerate. When I run leagues, I put everything up to a vote from the members and we discuss it on a message board. Example: The NBA dropped use of IR spots last year, so we talked and decided to add one roster spot so that if an undroppable player gets hurt and will miss a few weeks, we'd still be able to get a full roster up.

If everyone was really upset about having to autodraft, I'm fine with redrafting since it was a server problem and no one's fault...I'd just appreciate knowing what's going on. If you posted on the Cowboys board, most of us Skins fans probably won't see it.

Actually I sent an email out and posted it on the league board. One because I was not going to have people wasting there time changing there roster when I know that we could get a redraft or would just be given one.

I would of waited longer before I dropped the roster but I chose not to because the season started Thursday. And the league would of been stuck with players many would not of wanted which would of been more of a disaster.

Looking over the autopick draft results players went when the shouldn't have gone either way to early or too late. Yes there are trades but what good is it if you have no good palyers to trade. Or even worse a player you could have got if the darn server were up and you were picking.

No one has expressed the same feelings as you have toward me dropping the roster or the redraft. No league should be just based upon you waiting the players you got during predraft. Maybe you will get Manning in the third round or when ever it was again.

A few who did show up to sign on and to be turned away did not like that fact. So I took that into consideration.

This is a first that I have had to deal with yahoo server being down. I too would of like to be playing this week but shit happens. If you have pre rank your players maybe you will end up with similar ones that you ended up with during the auto pick. Also if you didnt like the time cause you were going to be at work why didnt you post a time when I asked, well its too late now.
This is the last that I have to say about or explain myself. I will not go back and forward with you any longer on this subject.

That's bad for H2H leagues, are we going to try to recruit another team before the start?
