Question about ESPN and Our Monday Night Game
Is ESPN going to switch the game to ESPN 2 or continue broadcasting the game if the game goes into overtime or something?
|
Re: Question about ESPN and Our Monday Night Game
Well, judging from times when there's been a doubleheader and the first game goes into overtime, they usually switch it to the second game and give periodic updates about the first one.

Re: Question about ESPN and Our Monday Night Game
I think it's the other way around. Our game will stay on ESPN and they will start Oakland on ESPN2. But that's just what i heard, not certain.

Re: Question about ESPN and Our Monday Night Game
The late one would start on ESPN2 and switch over.

I don't remember what we decided on, but I'm pretty sure the Redskins game switches to ESPN2 if it goes past 10:15pm. I'm not directly involved with the NFL so I'm only part of the preliminary meetings regarding these type of scenarios. I'll ask in the morning. |

Sigh...yeah when it comes to the NFL on ESPN I'm just a Rock Cartwright living in a Clinton Portis world. Or something like that |
Re: Question about ESPN and Our Monday Night Game
the way i heard it is that our game will switch to espn 2 when the sd/oak game kicks off.
|
Re: Question about ESPN and Our Monday Night Game
Well I just asked the powers that be. Apparently the Redskins game will stay on ESPN through its finish, regardless of whether it goes past 10:15pm.

Re: Question about ESPN and Our Monday Night Game
When exactly is kickoff? Is it right at 7pm, or will they have a 30 min pregame show or something?

Ok, I read this whole thread and was curious to why it would even matter. If you have ESPN don't you get ESPN 2 and could just switch channels or do some only get ESPN without ESPN2? |
Re: Question about ESPN and Our Monday Night Game
Just read on CNN.com that the President will address the nation at 9pm est. Guess it's good the game is on ESPN!!!!

It makes a HUGE difference. I'm going to the game. I'm DVRing it. That's how I make highlights. Oh no, I just lost the last 2 minutes of the game because they switched channels... It's happened before... |

It's happened before...[/quote] In that case it would make a big difference. I was thinking of us at home watching the game and with the question asked I thought maybe some get ESPN and not ESPN2. |

Yeah, like bjschmonsees said, I'm DVRing the game and I don't want to lose a single minute of the game. I already have the game record time extended by 1 hour so if they're switch to ESPN 2 i need to make sure I record ESPN 2. |
