Brad Johnson is a little b***h

I used to like Brad Johnson, and I was even a little freaked out going into the game last night because I know how well he can run a ball controll offense, but after what I heard on ESPN this morning, I think he's a little bitch.

They reported that after he gave his post game comments he we went back into the locker room and changed into his old Skins jersey and left the stadium wearing it as an "F' you" to the Skins for letting him go. If we had just recently let him go for no reason and this was his first game back in DC I could give him a pass on this, but that's not the case.

This is, what, the third time he's played in FedEx since being let go back in 2001? Did he make his little protest back in 2003 when he picked our defense apart when he was with Tampa? Or what about when we beat the Bucs on opening day in 2004?

Also, why is he so bitter, did he not go on to win a Super Bowl?

If he's still holding a grudge than he can go F' himself. (yes, I'm bitter over last night)

If he DID do that with his old jersey, that's pretty low and I've lost respect for him.

Immature if you ask me, which for one of the oldest players in the NFL is just sad.

I'm sure it was all in good fun.

Even if it was meant to be spiteful, can you really blame him?

He was shafted here for Jeff George of all people.

I'm looking for something in print on this, but I haven't found anything yet. Like I said before, I saw it on Sports Center.

If he did it after his first win back in FedEx, I would understand. But like I said, this wasn't his first win back in DC.

Matty, I was about to say the same thing. Its a wonder all the people Danny has shipped out of here dont wear their jerseys when come back to Fed X and whip our asses. Norv probably put on the Redskins sideline polo! Brad got the short end of the stick when he was let go. He liked it here and wanted to play here, but Danny went with his fantasy QB and we all saw where that got us.

Re: Brad Johnson is a little b***h

It was in the Post too, but too lazy to go find it...

While he's being arrogant in this situation, it's not like the Skins did anything to stop him. The Vikings are 8-2 in their last 10, and it's largely because of this guy. I can see the bitterness of the situation as well. Snyder is still here, and he's a prime reason for his dismissal.

Brad Johnson has had winning seasons plus a Super Bowl for 6 different coaches, and was cut by every one of them. He has every right to have a huge chip on his shoulder, and put it back in the face of all those coaches and owners. Payback for getting disrespected motivates a lot of players, i.e. Santana Moss. That pump-fake absolutely froze our D. I'd take Johnson over Brunell any day of the week. He's a good QB and and getting rid of him for Jeff George was one of Danny's first big mistakes. I wish him continued success in Minn, just not against us.

i hate it for our sakes but in regards to how dan synder treated him in that situation .. more power to him... he was and still is a capable QB in this league
and it showed last night...he did well here too but again money got in the way and the danny got stupid....

Re: Brad Johnson is a little b***h

Actually the redskins secondary was Brad's bi**h the way he passed all over them.

I can only imagine how good the redskins would be if they would have held on to BJ for their QB. Once again, no continuity.

Good luck to him, Danny did him nasty. He can do what he wants while he's winning. I hope we get a rematch in the playoffs.

Haha. God, I was wrecked by the time we entered the stadium. I stayed home from work today because we ended up getting home at four. GPS stopped working after we dropped off jdlea in an area I don't know ONE bit.

Gas light was on for 50 miles before, thank God, I found a gas station. It was a shitty night all the way around. On a side note, tomorrow I'll put up the tailgate pictures.

I totatlly agree with that. I'm not over the way he got ousted. Snyder made it pretty clear that he didn't want Brad Johnson on the team, in spite of the fact that he lead them to the playoffs the season before that. So, if he's holding a grudge against Snyder, I don't think he's the only former Skin who feels that way.

i dont agree with the wearing of the jersey out of spite or whatever but snyder did do him real wrong. We were one game from the nfc championship the year before dan" i messed up the team" snyder came along. Had snyder left the team alone i think we would have had a recent superbowl title in dc.

It's interesting how many players love the Redskins. Tiki Barber, Julius & Thomas Jones, Brian Westbrook, Brad Johnson, etc. The absence of a team in the Carolinas for so long definately helped the Skins develop a solid base in the south.

who cares, he beat us, and if i got junked for jeff george after leading a team to the playoffs, i'd hold a grudge too.

he's the 40th best paid QB in the league, even though he's won a lot more games than he's lost and never had a losing record across 6 different teams. It's not like people gave him any respect to begin with, so there's really not much to lose ;)

That is kind of funny. If he had played with as much passion his second year here, he wouldn't have been tossed for George. That team isn't going anywhere. I would love to see a rematch.

Maybe he would have played with more passion if he didn't feel totally dicked over by Snyder when he didn't give him a new contract and instead brought in Jeff George.

I disagree. If he was a true competitor he should have just shrugged it off. He was unquestionably the starting QB that year.

Not sure how you can say unquestioned when the owner clearly thumbed his nose at Johnson by going out and getting another starting QB that we really did not need.

That doesn't exactly sound like a ringing endorsement to me.

He started almost every game that year. What if he had gotten hurt in week one (ie Peirson). Then it wouldn't have looked so bad to have a veteran.

Brad Johnson can wear whatever he wants!!!
He beat our butts with WAY less talent catching passes than we have on our receiving corps. And honestly way less talent on his OL. We got beat guys because we didn't win it and we basically beat ourselves with conservative play, inadequate corner coverage, inability to stop the run, inability to stop 3rd and long on more than several occasions thoughout, penalties and questionable penalties... We gotta make up some stuff to get in postion to play Dallas unless Parcells is on the blood pressure pills again!

I think you're overhyping our line. Bugel's the coach, but the results are far from impressive. rabach is average, dockery is nothing special. the vikings oline is better. the giants is probably better from what i've seen so far this year. denver is better, etc etc etc. Ours ain't top 5, it might be top 10.
