Why are you asking Matty what happened to this board?

Did you not watch the game tonight?? Are you not pissed at tonight's showing?

The only two players that showed up in Dallas tonight were Sean Taylor and Lemar Marshall.

That was before we went 0-2. So how many losses to start the season are acceptable before learning our new "high-powered offense"?

He was impressed with the guys because they fought their guts out. Real tough guys with lots of guts, unfortunately they lost by a smidgen.

well it's obvious you are reading it if you're responding to it. If you think we're fine, you should get your eyes checked :P and we had all preseason to work on this offense, but the staff thought that'd be a bad idea.

the vikings are using a brand new offense, they're 2-0 and it looks like it's working.

and talking about the intelligence of the board then forgetting a verb and misspelling ulcer ;). If you're tired of whining, you yourself should not contribute by whining about it. just wait a couple days till it dies down if it reallys bothers you that much.

Ugly game on both sides.

If I'm a Cowboys fan I'm happy for the win, but I'm also looking at the way my team played and I'm not too happy about it. Dropped passes, penalties, 100 yard kickoff return for a TD... a good team would have beat the snot outta them last night.

Fortunate for them, we're not a good team right now.

SO were the refs being overly flag happy last night or was it just me? I mean 40 penalties is ridiculous.

Sean Taylor must be bummed. I don't think he got flagged!

That is quite true.

I hate to pound on this but, the East doesn't look very strong at all. Had Vanderjagt missed that 50 yarder, you guys were one stupid Bledsoe throw from getting right back into it.

I can name 5 teams in the AFC that would smoke anyone from the NFC East.

Indy
N.E
Cincinnati
San Diego
Baltimore
Pittsburgh

Thats six......

Give me a break. This is a TEAM problem, not just a QB problem. Get real.

I think it was a joke... but I'm serious.

I hope Brunell does more. I just don't think he can.

Owens did, on his FIRST play.

Dallas had a lot of dirty plays flagged...started by Owens trying to take out someone's knees on the first play.

The skins will win when they wake up and to the fact that they are not the second coming of " the greatest show on turf " . We do not have a franchise qb , we have 1 not two great wr's < loyd is having trouble getting off press coverage > and our Tackles struggle against the better speed rushers . The cowgirls backup DE's got more pressure all night than Carter or Danials . Hopefully we can run all over and through Tx on Sunday . Our D should be fine , looks like Houston lost two OL - men yesterday . Dallas still sucks !

Re: Most Penalties in History for a Game

I think one of the flag that pissed me off the most was when Thrash got called for holding on a kick return. I was pissed because I feel like he made the team over someone like Espy because of his ST play. If he really is such a special teams beast he shouldn't be holding.

Re: Most Penalties in History for a Game

Another cool stat to be proud of: With about 7 minutes left in the game, we had 117 yards in penalties. Our offense had a grand total of 138 yards at that point. That means our offense racked up a mere 21 yards more than the penalty yards.

Now that's a scary stat. I wonder if any team in NFL history has had their penalty yardage exceed their offensive yardage. Maybe we could shoot for that record next week against Houston.

Re: Most Penalties in History for a Game

Oh, I almost forgot.

Longest play was 24 yards, and we had a 3rd down conversion rate of 14%.

More nifty stats.

Re: Most Penalties in History for a Game

The amount of penalties I originall wrote is wrong. When I read the stats there were 40 total penalties. Just checked again and saw that it now reads Washington 11 penalties and Dallas 8. Sorry guys I only read the stats from NFL.com. Seemed like there were more then 19 penalties though. Either way this must change.

Only 19 total?

It seemed like 40 in the 1st quarter alone. EVERY PLAY for a while. It was nuts.
