Well, I think the schedule gods were defintley nice to us here. Cause here's how I see it...

If we have to play like the Colts go to 0-3; you mine as well pack it in now. We might be able to beat up on the Texans and gain some confidence here, so theres no team i'd rather be playing this week...that being said, the way we've played nothing is gaurnteed.

one can only hope. I'd like to see some signs of life. IF brunell can't get it done against the texans, it's officially time to move on.

A win is a stretch at this juncture. I'd be ecstatic.

Re: Just What The Doctor Ordered?

well the texans were the worst team in football last year, and hopefully we'll have springs back for this game, which would be a catalyst for our defense, and hopefully portis back for our offense as well. If both guys are back, i could definitely see something along the lines of the SF blowout last year, but if they are both out again, I could definitely see us lose to the texans.

Re: Just What The Doctor Ordered?

I think Washington will win, but they'll just squeak by. 17-13, and that's IF Portis plays.

it possible but i'd like to believe that there offense will be a lot better and deffense will dominate.

but i will say watch out for andre johnson, he is a playmaker

Good news for us

Their LT is out for the year and I guess their backup isn't too good... the Jags fans are sending condolences to the Texans re: Salaam.

If we don't generate any kind of pass rush this weekend, something is definitely wrong.

Re: Just What The Doctor Ordered?

It definetly comes at the right time, no doubt. My feeling is that the D is going to just unload on the Texans, and that the offense will be balanced and much more efficient. The main thing is, if we win will we be able to take that momentum and turn the season around?

If we lose, ugh... but that may be the end of Brunnell.

their LT was a rookie LG that i wish we had taken for depth (and as an upgrade to dockery when he was ready).

you ought to say what their saying about the skins here in houston, they think they have a real chance to win this game{and unfortunetaly,I have to agree with them}but,I will be attending the game,so thats bound to have a positive affect on the skins

Yea I'm sure Mario Williams is licking his chops if He's watched our O.L block this year.Williams has been held sackless so far. But who want's to bett that ends this sunday? I think will should win. But It might be harder then some think.

Re: Just What The Doctor Ordered?

If Carter does not get a sack in this game they should cut him.

Seriously, why don't they put Phillip Daniels on the left tackle? Daniels was decent last year.

Kyle Turley abused Williams. Samuels will do the same.

Samuels did a good job in both games against speed rushers, aside from a false start. If brunell got rid of the ball Ware doesn't get that coverage sack. A couple other sacks were coverage sacks IMO, not sure who got beat.
what are you talking about. the chiefs never played the texans, and williams and turley both play on the left, which means williams rushes the right tackle
isn't williams a rt. end?

This game is definitely a big break for the Skins. They need to wake the hell up in this one, because it sure doesn't get easy after this.

I guess you didn't watch sportscenter during the pre-season.

Re: Just What The Doctor Ordered?

I have a hard time believing the Skins will put 31 points on the board against any team. It'll probably take them another 3 games to get that point total.

Still, I predict the Skins will pull out an ugly, field goal-filled win. But then, I had the same prediction about the Viking game.

Re: Just What The Doctor Ordered?

I'm thinking something along the lines of last year's Redskisn/49er's game. We'll put up about fiddy, maybe fiddy-two points.

Re: Just What The Doctor Ordered?

Hopefully Brunell can finally break out of his shell on this one. I think he's still flustered by the new offensive scheme. He may just continue to be this way for the first half of the season.

Re: Just What The Doctor Ordered?

I have seen a lot of both Texans games so far and they are playing much better thant he Redskins right now. Their offense has moved the ball pretty well. When Carr gets time he is on the money. He will shred the skins if they don't get after him. I am terrified of this game...the skins are not playing well enough to beat anyone right now.

I'm not sure it's the offensive linemen that have shut down Williams so far. He only has 5 total tackles (only 4 solo) in 2 games. I think HE is his problem.

I'm not worried about him.

I hope so. Then I can start a "HAIL BRUNELL" thread and the other one can DIE.

Re: Just What The Doctor Ordered?

Skins - 13

Tex - 10

we get a Defensive TD, brunell barely breaks 100 yds, CP runs for 120

Re: Just What The Doctor Ordered?

hey this is my first post

Skins 24
Texans 14

brunell will have 1 td to cooley and 0 ints but will still look really bad (itll be covered up by the win) and cp will have a td along with duckett finally bustin one in at the goal line

We'll win, but Williams will get his first NFL sack and Portis will be really sore going into the jags game.

Re: Just What The Doctor Ordered?

I think we beat Houston only cause they really bad team and Mr. Portis back to action. I don't think it prove very much to beat them but lots of players and coaches will say it does like it really big deal to beat bad team. They gonna get clobber by Jacksonvile the next week unless can get focused and improve alot in next two week.
