Brett Farve wants to come to Washington? (rumor)
Hello All,
My first thread! By luck I found this website. Because I needed a place to vent this juicy rumor. My entire family are HUGE Redskins fans. This evening I get a call from my jubilant father who tells me Brett Farve wants to come to Washington. I didn't think to ask where he heard it, but his TV stays on either ESPN or the NFL network. So I'm hoping someone else heard the same rumor. Farve feels he can win the superbowl if he was the QB here. Brunell was great in Jacksonville. But he's never recovered from the multiple injuries that he's sufferd during his tenure there. But If we had Brett Farve OMFG!! Could you imagine him with Moss Randle El, Loyd, Thrash! This would be a dream come true. IMO Brett has allways had Sub par recievers at Greenbay. He made them look alot better then they were. That's why none of the former Greenbay recievers do anything once they leave Brett Farves company. Daniel Snyder isn't about to loose this season. And it's not fair for us to put this on Jason Campbells shoulders. I see a Trade in the works. This makes perfect sense. |
Re: Brett Farve wants to come to Washington?
First of all welcome to the board, you might not want to post duplicate threads, and any about Brunell or people will PMS. We are also kinda moody bc of the way the Skins are playing.
But I seriously doubt this ever happening, the last thing we need is another aging QB to learn a hard system, especially if he will retire in a bit. Huge waste of time and money, and I think he wants to retire in GB. Plus I think someone else suggested this earlier, do not be surprised if the responses are sarcastic. |
Re: Brett Farve wants to come to Washington?
Not gonna happen.
I just saw Adam Schefter on NFL Network say the chances of Favre being traded are slim to none. |
Re: Brett Farve wants to come to Washington?
BTW, Matty you need to change your favorite players in your profile...Arrington??

Re: Brett Farve wants to come to Washington?
Posting a rumor without a link or supporting documentation is generally another way to get our collective panties in a bunch. I think this rumor is total garbage, and this thread is not really worth posting in, other than to say welcome to the board and I hope you stick around. It's a good place.

Re: Brett Farve wants to come to Washington?
Welcome Blackrain..I'm fairly new myself and have already gotten into a few battles with skins fans alike. Now, that's not to say that you will definitely come into a few confrontations with several fellow skins fans. Just beware that there are a few ignorant, stubborn nut sacs who may respond to your posting like grumpy old silverbacks who haven't gotten laid in over 20 yrs. But it's all good; opinions, whether right or wrong, is what this place is all about. You say what you feel, it's your right!!
Oh, back to the subject: Brett Favre coming to Washington? Yikes!! At this point Favre is not much better than Brunell, if at all. Plus, after all these years, why would he want to end his career in Washington? I really doubt the info; but do keep us updated should you get any validated news on the subject. |
Re: Brett Farve wants to come to Washington?
This all goes back to Tony K speculating what would be like if Favre was with the Redskins on PTI. No substance to it

Re: Brett Farve wants to come to Washington?
Joe Gibbs came back??
We traded Champ for Clint Tom Cruise now works for Snyder... Would anything really surprise you? |
Re: Brett Farve wants to come to Washington?
I think Tampa should try to get Favre

The only reason Brett should move to Florida is to retire. |

I am only a year or so into this website. there are a few that will seek and destroy. just try and get facts before posting anything. OH, and hate LaVar, that will get you on the good side of a lot of people here. |
Re: Brett Farve wants to come to Washington?
Actually, I heard Steve Young state he would be a much better choice than Jeff George, and he was available! I agree. I'll call Bill Walsh and see what his thoughts are on the issue

Re: Brett Farve wants to come to Washington?
On this note, I think we can close out this rumor thread.
Trade doesn't appeal to Favre September 21 Wisconsin State Journal: "Thus, a reporter asked Favre Wednesday what he would do if Buccaneers coach Jon Gruden - a former Packers assistant - or Redskins coach Joe Gibbs decided Favre was the missing piece and made Packers general manager Ted Thompson an offer he couldn't refuse." |
