Lost
Can't wait till the beginning of the new season on the 4th.
On a side note, I have kept myself entertained with this animated parody of lost called LOSTed on YouTube, its hilarious, you guys should check it out. |
Re: Lost
hopefully they don't end this season with 5 recap episodes in a row like they did in season 2.
|
Re: Lost
Hey, Guy I caught the first season but totally blew the second season....I need to caught up quick man!
|
Re: Lost
I am so ready to become a huge Lost-dork again; as opposed to just being a plan old dork like I normally am.

download the 3x00 episode, its a complete recap of the 1st/2nd season in 40 minutes. |
Re: Lost
What sucks is that LOST will be on for 6 consecutive weeks. And then it takes 13 straight weeks off before returning to finish the season

WTF? why? |
Re: Lost
Answer:
"Lost" doesn't repeat well, and audiences especially complain about out-of-sequence reruns, or even pre-emptions, during the season. But a 22- or 23-episode season won't stretch from September to May without interruption. Explains ABC Entertainment president Steve McPherson: "We've really just listened to the audience about the repeats, and it felt like this was really the best way to run the show."
So they get to have new Lost episodes for both May and Nov sweeps basically instead of running one long season and then having it finish before May Sweeps. |
Re: Lost
i can't imagine that's "what audiences want"
season 2 did die horribly at the end though. the writers didn't have enough material and basically made 5 or so complete throw away episodes. |

One thing that will be good about this is that I won't have to worry about missing college basketball games. That's not the best concession for not having my favorite show on for 3 months but at least it's something. |
Re: Lost
Lost repeats are horrible. I'll take new eps anytime I can get them.
|
Re: Lost
It may be a long gap between the first part and second part, but I'd much rather have all new episodes week after week, than having 2 new then 2 repeats...
Evangeline Lilly was on with Elliot this AM and said that she hasn't had this much fun (taping the first batch of episodes) doing the show since the pilot. |

Re: Lost
she's not a good interview. was on kimmel and letterman and leno last week. comes off boring and slightly b**chy :/ too bad.

I feel like it's pretty rare that you find a chick that hot that's also extremely interesting. On top of that, I have to go back to what Bill Simmons sadi about talk shows a week or two ago. He said they're almost like getting to watch a bad first date or something. The guests are usually not the most comfortable and there are typcially a bunch of awkward pauses and whatnot. The one thing that has me worried though is that almost any Lost cast member who's been a guest on EITM has ended up off the show shortly after. They've had (going by character names b/c I don't know all the actors) Boone, Shannon, Walt, and Anna Lucia. Hopefully they don't kill her off. |

Speaking of hot TV girls doing interviews. Two of the girls who look the hottest and the nicest of them all are Teri Hatcher and Eva Longoria. Both of them seem approachable and are fiiiiine. |

They talked to Hurley too, didn't they? |

lost is the stupidest show ever!

maybe, I could be wrong. I have to say, I'm rather disappointed with that episode. Just the fact that there were commercials every 10 minutes annoyed the hell out of me. |

i've heard bad things about teri behind the scenes (being a real d-bag about things). eva is definately on the A-list though, and kate beckinsale comes off really well too, even though she is a bit older. Anne hathaway too (caught an interview on the graham norton effect before it got canned). |
Re: Lost
it looks like it could be the best season yet!

I had to DVR it, since I was out playing ball...and yes, it seemed like everytime they got into something, another damn commercial popped up. Best exchange was between Mr. Friendly/Zeke/Tom and Sawyer: T - "I see you got yourself a fish biscuit" S - "Yeah, I finally figured out your contraption" T - "It only took the Bears 2 hours to figure it out" S - "Yeah...how many" |
Re: Lost
it was pretty good. I hope they don't take the show into some "what's really real" scenario, which is a possibility right now. that'd be a waste, especially with their production budget.

That's exactly the same thing I said t a coworker. There wasn't any flow to the episode. I feel like they threw it together or something. However, if that were the case, how would he know how long it took the bears to figure it out? |
Re: Lost
I thought it was decent, not great though. Looks like The Nine might be a good show following it as well.
Back to Lost though, I thought there was something really about Henry Gale (Ben) sitting down for breakfast with Kate |

He was saying that he doesn't really know much about the character yet because he was originally only supposed to be in 3 episodes but that he is more than likely a psychiatrist. I think that would explain a lot about him. |

It probably won't get better, so in addition to watching it on air, I may just start watching it online the next day, as it's pieced together much better. I also wonder where the teenager in the other cage came from, and then what they ended up doing with him... |

That is somewhat disappointing as it indicates they don't have a grand plan for the show. If he was only supposed to be on 3 eps and now is the leader of the Others then they are clearly making it up as they go along. That seems like it could lead to the show not being as interesting. |

They've been doing that sort of thing since hte beginning, I think. I've heard that Hurley and Sun's characters were basically written specifically for the actors after he was spotted on another show and she unsuccessfully tried out for another role. Also, just go back to last season when they had problems with Ana Lucia and Libby wanted to go star in another show (which was never picked up). In fact, you can say the same with Shannon and Michael; they're pretty much gone because they wanted to do movies, or so I've heard. PS- I have a coworker who's obessed with the message boards and they talk about Lost on EITM all the time. Plus, I'm a nerd. |

well, ana lucia was supposed to be on much longer, but the actress turned out to be a royall PitA, so they dragged her out and shot her. homicide did the same thing. the problem with homicide is they kept replacing the people that left (actors and writers) with lesser talent, so the last 2 seasons were completely worthless. |

Thats all I want. An idea of where this going. If they already know hows this plays out in general then it is easier to have everything flow with continuity and be quality. Otherwise every week you're stuck trying to fit together episodes like a puzzle and details start failing through cracks and things drag on and on. See X-Files for example. They had no end game so they didn't have anything to aim for. That show ended up totally sucking the last few years. |

Back to Lost though, I thought there was something really about Henry Gale (Ben) sitting down for breakfast with Kate
what's the nine about? the teaser didn't look that great, but it had the main guy from Eyes in it (which is a killer show btw, even though it got cancelled and they only showed all 13 episodes in new zealand... yay demonoid.com). |
Re: Lost
I totally agree. This reminds me, I really hope they explain the whole "monster" thing soon because that's starting to bother me. Remember how it seemed to rip the plane's co-pilot apart in either the 2nd or 3rd episode of the show? So WTF was that all about? I need answers!
|
Re: Lost
It is about 9 surviving hostages of a bank robbery and it was very well done in my opinion. Well shot and directed and the idea could be good. I am not sure about some of the characters but they should round into form. I can't see how this makes it past a season though. After a while it will be just a soap opera kind of show possibly.

See that's my point. If they dont have an end game in my mind then every episode doesn't necessarily fit with future episodes. If they know where they are going everything can fit together and it will be cool. Otherwise we'll end up with lots of lame answers and non-answers. |

it'll end up like twin peaks (the series it's the most similar to, sort of). from huh? to whaa?? in just 2 seasons. |
Re: Lost

Yeah I can see it being interesting as we find out what happened "in there". That's going to be the hook. Since they only showed the start of the robbery and the rescue 52 hours later no one knows what happened "in there". But how long can that reasonably take to play out? One season at most? I also hate Scott Wolfe. He is still Bailey and still makes me think he is 15. |
Re: Lost
i agree on wolfe. the other two turned out okay though (lost - though with the exact same character, and farscape)
