Re: It sure feels GOOD!!!!!!!!!
I'd put this in the No Respect thread...
|
Re: It sure feels GOOD!!!!!!!!!
Why? They brag about Saunders and say he's on a roll finally...
|
Re: It sure feels GOOD!!!!!!!!!
I think he means it in reference to being about respect it should go there as a counterpoint to that thread's basis.

Re: It sure feels GOOD!!!!!!!!!

Re: It sure feels GOOD!!!!!!!!!
Sorry but this game is a must win I don't care how early it is in the season.
|
Re: It sure feels GOOD!!!!!!!!!
I'm sure the Redskins know it is a must win, and I'm sure the Giants feel the same way considering the way they've been playing. It's going to be a dog fight.
|
Re: It sure feels GOOD!!!!!!!!!
This is definitely a must win for the Giants more so than the Redskins. They would drop to 1-3 if they lose. With loses to both the Eagles and Redskins.
|
Re: It sure feels GOOD!!!!!!!!!
Party at Buffalo Wild Wings in Hagerstown MD for the game this weekend. I will be there with about 12 others so if anyone wants to come PM me for directions.

Re: It sure feels GOOD!!!!!!!!!
3. Joe Bugel/Al Saunders, offensive coaches for the Redskins: Some critics said the game passed Bugel and the rest of Joe Gibbs' coaching staff by. Not true. Some said Saunders' offense needs Tony Gonzalez to work. Not true. And still others said Mark Brunell was over the hill. Not true either. Jacksonville has one of the best defenses in the NFL, and Bugel's line and Saunders' game plan helped put 36 points on the board for the win. As one Redskin lineman said to me, "We knew we could move the ball on the Jaguars and there was no doubt we would win this one." Any time a team logs 481 yards of offense -- 152 of it on the ground -- against John Henderson, Marcus Stroud and Co., the line was blocking and the play-calling was excellent. Brunell threw 30 times and wasn't sacked once, which is another feather in Bugel's cap. Saunders' play-calling resulted in a 50 percent success rate on third downs, which tells me the Redskins are truly back in the NFC East race.
...Oh that feels so damn good.. |
Re: It sure feels GOOD!!!!!!!!!
Here is what I dont understand. When the media trashes us we all write these posts saying screw them, they hate the Skins, they don't know what they are talking about, but the second someone in the media pays attention to us, or says something the least bit positive, we are prancing around giggling like a gaggle of high school girls whom the starting quarterback just said hi to.
Mr. Sirak has had plenty of unpleasent things to say about us in the past, and if we lose this weekend he'll be writing about how he knew all along we were going to finish last. Frankly, I don't care what these guys say, because they don't follow this team like we do. The offense is clicking and we are back in the NFC race? You needed someone in the media to tell you that? |

So true. Makes me nervous.... Wish I could meet you boys for the game, but I"ll be in NY for a wedding Saturday night. Don't worry, I'll have my Skins flags flying on my way home during the game!!! |
Re: It sure feels GOOD!!!!!!!!!
I like how after the jags victory all of the so called "NFL experts" on espn, nfl network and all of the others are singing the redskins tune now? they make me sick. I little respect goes a long way i guess....

You needed someone in the media to tell you that?[/quote] it's called homerism at work ;) i agree or disagree with articles based on if they're true of not. the thing is, at 0-2 with no offense and no defense, how much respect did we really deserve? steve young pointed out we were better than we were playing and it was just a slow start, but he's the only major analyst i remember having that opinion at 0-2. |
Re: It sure feels GOOD!!!!!!!!!
i like young for that reason. seems to form his own opinion, not relying on the general consensus.

At the same time though, if we lose we drop to 0-2 in the division. I think it's going to be a playoff type of game. Now I have to run, I hear the cliche police coming. |
Re: It sure feels GOOD!!!!!!!!!
All games against division opponents are huge, no matter your current record. The NFL season with only 16 games is so short that really, every game is huge and can be viewed as a "must win." I mean, can we lose this game and still make the playoffs? Sure. It would make it harder, but we could still make it. But I look at the goal being grabbing homefield advantage in the playoffs, and with that in mind, this is a "must win." They all are.
But division games especially - partly because of rivalries and partly because if you don't get homefield, pinning a loss on a division foe increases your chances quite a bit of taking the division title. |
