who thinks they can question Gibbs?
The most recent posts about our front office and we should not have gotten rid of LA, JT, AP....sound very fair weather to me. Yes, you have a right to your opinion to a certain point. When you cross the line that says I'm smarter than Gibbs and our organization then you have proved your level of intelligence. You people who drive a mercedes, bmw, lexus or H2 and H3 because it validates your existence will not ever change the roots of the Redskins. We are and always have been the working blue collar man's team and (I say family.) Synder is probably a billionaire, however he has nothing to prove to you. Danny loves the Redskins and I can prove that. Joe Gibbs would not work WITH him if Danny did not love the fans, players and our history. If you have serious issues and complaints about the way the Redskins are being run then pick a new team to champion because Danny is not selling this team, Gibbs will continue to do what he wants to regardless of what you think and Gregg Williams very well could be our HC when Gibbs retires. Get used to it or go elsewhere....Parcells always likes groupies I hear.

Hail to the blue collars 44[/quote] Let me be the first to disagree with this statement. When you same "blue collor man's team" teams like the Steelers, Ravens, Raiders... come to mind. I have always felt the Redskins to be a white collar man's team. I don't know, maybe it is the other fans that tend to hang out with are professionals. Not to mentions my "blue coller" friends seem to follow teams mentioned above. |

History has lots of lessons for us to learn about, or remember. I wish I knew as much Redskin history as some people I've been priviledged to meet....But I do know this, the Ravens did not exist until the owner excreted on Cleveland, the Raiders are not blue collar they are felons/delinquents who have not been caught by the CHP or LA county, yet....now the Steelers, I can not argue with that. I do believe that the Diesel, Hogs, Fun Bunch, Posse, or maybe Sam Shade, or more recently Sellers, hmmm Randy Thomas, hmmm Jansen with two broken thumbs casted....I think that has made my point. Go hang with them and tell them they are "white collar" entertainment. Hail 44 |

Re: who thinks they can question Gibbs?
I agree with you on the fact that Dan loves this team . Gibbs is a hall of fame coach , ect. But , they may be creating a problem fielding a great team in the near future with the amount of money they throw at average players < 10 millon $$ signing bonus's and trading draft picks . I love this team , and have for over 30 years , but when your team trades 9 draft picks for a wr avg. 1 catch per game , and backup qb and lb , those look like very bad decisions . Hopefully Jason C will be a great qb for us soon and we win , if not you will probably hear questions about the front office about player personel decisions , that is sports . At least the cowboys have to hear all week about T.O.'s sideline crying and ,,, ALLIGATOR arms during the ass whiping in Philly .Oh , I happen to drive a Chevy truck :)

Re: who thinks they can question Gibbs?
wtf is this about? are you saying you've never made a mistake? that keeping mike barrow around for 2 years and wasting a roster spot for a guy that never played a down was a great idea?
go look at fedex, look at all the lux boxes, look at all the people that come there to NOT watch the game. if the skins aren't a white collar team, then who is? this isn't a steel town. it's a town full of politicians and defense contractors. when we let AP go i said it was a huge mistake the minute it happened. i don't think anyone thought of arrington as a mistake. he's done nothing and his cap numbers were insane. plenty of the FO failures were met with foresight, believe it or not. if you don't like what's being posted here, you're always welcome to go elsewhere. |

It is a tragic thing to me that having Redskins tickets has sometimes become another place to talk business vs. the golf course. I do not care because this is a fad, they will not be around long. I guess what bothers me most is the critique of Danny. He could be doing anything else. Yet he is rooting, yelling, screaming, jumping, and celebrating with us and when we lose, he is still with US, passionate, and waiting for next sunday. Hail 44 |
Re: who thinks they can question Gibbs?
I don't get this....
I know we're all upset by the loss, but wha? BMWs? Blue Collars? Just win some dang football games, whatever you wear or drive!!! As for criticism, this is AN INTERNET FAN SITE. So long as folks are civil, say what you want and respond intelligently to people who disagree. Guess what? I know that Snyder, Gibbs, Williams, etc. do not know or care what I think. But what's fun is talking the skins and debating how we'd do things. What else are we doing here, exactly? (PS I drive an old Honda ;) ) |

Re: who thinks they can question Gibbs?
generally, I think danny is a good owner. HOWEVER, I think danny is a businessman first, and redskins fan second--and that causes problems sometimes. just because he's jumping around when the redskins do something doesn't mean anything. I doubt he ever takes a break from thinking about his bottomline.

See I think the problem is that he is a Redskins fan. And he approaches his job as such. Well I should say I think he used to, when he first bought the team, approach it that way. So, just like a lot of people on this board, after a loss he'd panic and say "Oh No! My team just lost a road game to a division opponent! The world is over if I don't make changes right now! Ahhhhhh!!!!" I think Gibbs has taught him that patience is a virtue. And he's gotten considerably better |

Agreed. Daniel Snyder is a money grubbing pimp, and the Redskins are his stable. Anyone with an interest in marketing could figure that out, with the 95 Redskins shows that are one in the DC area every week, or the three radio stations he bought to whore out tickets and merchandise of a team that has had one good season since he's been in control. I don't doubt that he wants to win, but he is by no means a good owner. |
Re: who thinks they can question Gibbs?
if he was a fan first, they wouldn't put all those fscking ads in the redskins.com videos or the constant requests to download redskins direct (whatever that is). he wouldn't sell view restricted seats, etc.
i don't doubt he loves the skins, but his commitment to winning and his commitment to his bottom line are different matters entirely. |

He started the Redskins Leadership Council. "Dan has been everything I could ask for," said Gibbs, sincere in his praise. Danny has as much passion as we all do, and he's here to stay. So check your bearings....if you have to. Hail 44 |

Haha, I think you have to be. Washington is everyone's team. We are America's team(is Dallas the fucking capital?). We are Politicians, drug addicts, middle class, poor folk, rich folk, smart people, dumbasses. But, none of us have the right to question Gibbs. It's not his fault when players make bad decisions. |
Re: who thinks they can question Gibbs?
It seems a little redundant but
AMEN BROTHA god i love it here so many people share the same views that i do but can state them so much better |
