Rogers Suffers Broken Thumb
Rogers Suffers Broken Thumb
October 16 Washington Post (registration required): "The Washington Redskins' struggling secondary took another blow yesterday when cornerback Carlos Rogers broke his thumb, which could hinder his playmaking ability in coming weeks." Oh no, what are we going to do without his playmaking ability? No more interceptions, no more batted down passes, no more shut down coverages...I guess it'll be business as usual against the Colts. PS. Minor milestone...my number of posts match a real defender's Jersey number. |
Re: Rogers Suffers Broken Thumb
blah who cares it's not like he can catch anyway
|
Re: Rogers Suffers Broken Thumb
I care if it keeps him from playing. I've been critical of him, but do we wanna seen Kenny Wright and Mike Rumph starting at CB this weekend against the Colts? OMG...that will be a massacre.

Kenny Wright was the ONLY one making plays the last two games you guys!! I'll take him any day over Rogers. |
Re: Rogers Suffers Broken Thumb

My dad told me about Rogers yesterday and I said the exact same thing right way. That made my dad start laughing because he said the guys on the radio were saying the same thing. |
Re: Rogers Suffers Broken Thumb
It's true...maybe Danny could pay for a prosthesis that auto clasps on incoming footballs??? Really, the guy can't catch hence the reason he plays defense.
|
Re: Rogers Suffers Broken Thumb
So what he's hurt. It doesn't matter! He was playin 8 yds. off the damn receiver anyway! THIS AINT THE SEC BRUH! HAIL from Nashville!

HAHA! so true...wonder if its possible.... |
Re: Rogers Suffers Broken Thumb
Has anyone seen that movie the replacements?
I think if the WP guys took over we couldnt do much worse and maybe even a little better. Im sure we could save $nyder a bunch of money if he even cared about saving money on payroll. Payroll is his best advertiser and marketing propaganda machine that he has going. I tell you what it suck rogers is hurt, but if we lose to the Colts as much as a formidable opponent as they are I am gonna start as the Orioles fans did and promote a Free the Redskins campaign to have Snyder or Vinny whoever is guilty for the ridiculous team that goes out there year in year out. What do we have to show for this team with no draft picks and washed up aged old players?? This is crazy, I can't watch the team I love get raped week in week out and continue to have a support for them. This is a 15 year old abusive relationship. After a while you begin to assume the Skins like to be fed the raping. Maybe Snyder bets against us who knows he is crazy dumb rich regardless win or lose. |
Re: Rogers Suffers Broken Thumb
Yeah I have seen it about a million times on TBS.

I hate when people especially announcers state that shit. Maybe he plays defense b/c he likes to tackle..... Think of that? Maybe he doesn't like to be tackled think of that??? Maybe his childhood hero is Deion Sanders and will only play CB think of that??? Maybe his HS team needed him to play CB in a division of serious WR and got noticed by collegiate scouts and sent him to AU and he developed his skill so much that he became awarded as the best College CB in the nation( maxwell award I think) did you think of that??? Maybe he had to convert to CB b/c a coaches son played WR and politics forced him into CB and the years of CB training wiped out his familiarity with catching, maybe the past 6 years his coaches have instructed him to swat the ball rather grab it, maybe he simply has a mental block that he overthinks it and drops a big INT like at Seattle in the playoffs, The truth is... we will never really know for sure... sure believe what you must.... but stay opened minded enough to know he is there for a reason and leave it at that. With our recievers would you want him to play WR, NO then why are you even talking. Why the F*** are my REDSKINS SO terrible????????????????????????????? |
Re: Rogers Suffers Broken Thumb
Maybe here at the Warpath, we could take up a collection and buy him that invention that was one of the finalists on the American Inventor TV show called "The Catch" (formerly the "Receiver's Training Pole").

Re: Rogers Suffers Broken Thumb
no, not "can't catch" carlos
nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!! but really he is 10 times better than rumph or wright and it is scary |
no, not "can't catch" carlos
nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!! but really he is 10 times better than rumph or wright and it is scary
He can tackle with the best CB's and does have promise, he will be around for 10 years or more but I have never seen his reaction to break on balls and anticipate like the great CB's. Even in delivered INT gimme's in huge moments he didnt rise to the occasion. All that should be considered when his contract needs to be redone in a few years. Goodluck to everyone at WP who invested so much time into these skins over the years. Im trying harder and harder to rid myself of the Skins and attachment to them, attempting to be more in the world but not of it so, if this is what the Skins destiny is to be lets just accept it and move on. |
Re: Rogers Suffers Broken Thumb
Great. Let's put in Campbell in place of Rogers... or at Safety, or at LB... we paid so much for him he should be starting somewhere...:cheeky-sm

lol after reviewing campbells pre season stats, i think he should play....i thought he should have b4 but that concretes it...he was 12-18 for almost 225 1 TD and that little fucking INT....better than sir BRUNELL-NOODLE ARM |
Re: Rogers Suffers Broken Thumb
This is also with third string receiving talent and more importantly with third string OFFENSIVE LINE.
|
Re: Rogers Suffers Broken Thumb
Maybe he can Kick too

again, a veery valid point....after i read my own post i realized how bad it sounded but, that makes it sound A WHOLE LOT BETTER! Maybe multiply numbers by 3 then? (cept the INT's of course!) |

Re: Rogers Suffers Broken Thumb
i honestly dont think we lose anything if rogers has to sit. it will hurt his development, but as for our current situation, now with troy vincent, im not concerned. rogers has been awful
