Announcing premium membership!
 

In a continuing effort to cover our site expenses, we've come up with a premium membership opportunity. Rather than just donating to the site and not getting anything back except a thank you, we've come up with the following additional permissions and features you will receive in return for your generous contribution to the site!

Here's how our current regular membership looks like:

Subject to all banner and text ads
Maximum stored private messages: 50
Private message tracking: no
Calender: can't post events, can't edit own events, can't delete own events
Can set self to invisible mode: no
Can use custom title: no
Can upload profile picture: no
Maximum Characters in Signature Including BBCode Markup: 500
Maximum Characters in Signature Excluding BBCode Markup: 250
Photo gallery: Can upload files (max. of 50), can edit own files, can't delete own files, can't comment on files, can't edit own comments, can't delete own comments, can't use search feature

And this is what the premium member will get:

Photo gallery: Can upload files (max. of 200), can edit own files, can delete own files, can comment on files, can edit own comments, can delete own comments, can use search feature

In addition to funding our site costs, from time to time we'll have giveaways for Redskins merch, gift cards, or just straight up cash prizes!

You'll also receive the ultra-cool and swanky VIP button next to your name to show off your VIP status.

Premium membership costs just $20 per year. You can sign up by visiting this [URL="http://www.thewarpath.net/payments.php"]subscription link[/URL]. Or you can also go to your user cp and look on the left hand side menu for 'paid subscriptions'. We're also offering a "lifetime" subscription for a one time charge of $50.

We'll look to continue to add to the premium membership features and permissions in the future, and we'll have more contests/raffles as well!

If that's the case with anyone else just let me know and I can manually add you to the VIP list.

Sorry if you've been overlooked, it certainly wasn't intentional. I've tried a couple of different donation systems in the past and it's been hard to keep track of everything.

$2 bucks a month is definitely worth it to continue supporting a great site. And from the sounds of it, this will only promote bigger and better things.

For anyone who makes a contribution to become a VIP member, your permissions should update automatically shortly after your payment goes through. Please let me know if there are any problems with this.

Matty, is there a way I can set up an automatic, recurring payment on a monthly basis?

I'd love to kick in a couple bucks each month, for a steady flow type of deal. Would it be much trouble to ask you to set up that kind of option? Is that option even possible? If not possible on this site, is it doable through paypal's site?

Thanks Matty. really appreciate all the work keeping this site as smart, clean and tidy as it was when i first fell in love with it. very very few forum sites compare, especially Redskin ones.

I agree - I like that there aren't 69,000 avatars or 69 million pictures in people's sigs. It's a great forum to hang out in. You know - once you get used to the smell.

Matty, Ive donated in the past, but happy to do it again, I want that jersey! lol.

So I just paid the 25 for the membership.

Also, I clicked on the donation link and sent an extra $25.00, thats for the fantasy league, if I remember correctly I hadnt paid for the money league yet. If I did, well then we'll talk, but I dont think I have so I just paid up for both.

Seriously, keep up the good work matty and mods. Most people would be content to just let the site "run itself" with little or no caretaking. The effort you guys put in really shows, and it goes a long way toward making the site feel more like a community.

This is money well spent for a place that I get so much enjoyment from.

Thanks to Matty, TAFKAS, Brud, Sheriff and the rest of the mods for all the work they put into keeping this site in shape. I personally won't need most of the features, but I am sure you guys need the money!:)

very much agree. the title/avatar system warpath had BEFORE was even better, you had to earn your title, AND your pic.

Yeah, except we couldn't distinguish between a post and a quality post. A guy like kidwell would have raced through the rankings with all his nonsensical threads and posts. And that wouldn't have been fair to someone like 70Chip who may not post often but has more valuable posts

well Matty's rankings back then were pretty trash-post proof. even kidwell would've needed like 500 before leaving "training camp". last time i checked, kidwell could've chosen the same icon as anyone without posting anything at all.

Yeah, either way, I will support the Mods. I just think warpath is backing down from one of the things that are great about it. iT is one step closer to other forums but allowing people to have their own profile pics, but whatever.

I think you're confusing profile pic with avatar. The avatars will remain what they are now, a profile pic is a picture that is displayed on your public profile that you can see by clicking on your name.

Yes you're in the first 25, everyone is so far.

Looks like we have 4 that have gone through so far and a bunch more waiting on e-checks to clear.
