In the interest of promoting accountability, I would like to set this space aside to identify all those Un-Redskins we see today who do not give maximum effort. Alligator Arms, Look-out blocks, Grabbing instead of Tackling, and Sideline Pouting are sure signs. Let's hope this thread does not thrive.

Way to end the half. Loafer Awards to Archuleta for allowing the punt block and to Rogers for making sure Keyshawn was undisturbed while he secured the ball going out of bounds.

Also to the 14 or 15 guys who put the ball on the ground.

And lastly to Al Saunders. Please no more draws on first down. The playcalling today is absolute horse____. (Except for the PA WR Cross where LLoyd was wide open and Campbell missed him.)

He played great all days. He was the best corner on our team today. Granted he wasn't guarding Steve Smith most of the time.

I agree that Rogers redeemed himself in the second half. Hats off to the defense for getting it done. Hats off to Dan Henning for his horrible play calling for Carolina. Their fans should be irate. It is as if he was trying to help us win. Maybe Gibbs went to him before the game and said, "Help a brother out."

I disagree that Rogers was making Keyshawn "work for it". The way you make him "work for it" is to nail him in the ribs as soon as he touches the ball.

But, that aside, I think we can let this one die.

The so called unknown player who supposedly spoke off the record to Tom Friend which led to the ESPN article is without a doubt, no longer unknown. Joe Gibbs knows everything, and everybody about this team. Bubba Tyer tells JG everything that happens with this team. It has always been that way, nothing escapes Bubba, he knows Tom Friend just like Gibbs does considering all the time he used to spend at Redskin Park during JG's first tenure.

I didn't see much slacking today because I thought for the most part, everyone put forth good effort. In one of my post last week I mentioned the fact that since the playoffs are a remote possibility now, how are these guys going to perform with nothing much left to play for but pride, and to continue their careers with the team. I'm sure the coaching staff will be looking to see the same things. Off today's effort however, I'll have to wait another week, because one cannot argue with the effort put forth today.

I didn't see too many today but I did see the 30 million dollar captain of the punt team miss an assignment which allowed a punt to be blocked.

He needs to get it together. Otherwise, he is a complete joke.

I spoke to a Panthers fan today who pointed out that Steve Smith's game winning overtime catch in the playoffs against St. Louis was against double A. (Not Arn Anderson of Four Horseman glory)

Thanks dick heads. I do like the Bears and I like Ravens. I like the bears because I like the way they have built their team. I like the Ravens because they are local and have been playing well. But I have been a Redskins fan first my whole life. I am 36 and unlike most people my first love was George Allen. I can remember Diron Talbert(the dancing bear), Coy Bacon, Mike Bragg the punter, Chris Hamburger, and Billy Kilmer. I was eight years old when Jack Kent Cook fired George Allen, I was devastated. I remember when Joe Thiesman took over for Billy Kilmer. I remember Clarence Harmon running the ball under Jack Pardee, in place of the holdout John Riggins. I remember Ike Forte. Lemar Parish, Joe Lavender, and Ken Houston. So you tell me, are you a better Redskins fan? You may be, but most can't say that.

I believe that "The Dancing Bear" was the nickname of Ron McDole, not Diron Talbert. Talbert was just "Talby".

Well the Redskins have gotten a lot worse since then and I am still here. It was a joke. Its a joke, I have been using at work since Joe Gibbs left. I walk into work every Monday after a loss and say "Like I have been saying all year long, I am a ------(who ever is doing really, good unless it the cowgirls) fan". It makes people laugh, because they know what a Redskins freak I am. But it did not transfer to a post real well

I remembered my father talking about him. My earliest memories of the Redskins are about the time Theismann replaced Billy !977, 1978, by which time I don't think McDole saw much action. Talbert played regularly throughout the '79 season, though. He and Coy Bacon knew how to bring pressure.

I remember Sonny.

They always talk about the '72 Dolphins celebrating when a team with a perfect record loses late in the season. They say they're thankful to the opposing team.

Then they should put flowers on George Allen's grave every day. 'Cause if he'd played Sonny instead of Billy we would have blown Miami on their backsides in the Super Bowl like we were supposed to.

I thought the blocked punt was AA's fault too but in the post game, Sellers said it was his own fault. Sellers said that he was too far back in his stance or something like that...

i'm happy, we played well on both sides for the first game this year, but we are still competing for a top ten draft pick right now :/. that might be the reason, or someone (*couch*) having a bad day, for whatever reason.

it was a great win, I'm happy, but just like the dallas win, a lot of luck went our way, so there is obviously much room for imporovement.......even on the discipline side. We could have made the win much easier with less mistakes. Overall, I'm very happy with the play of two guys who I have been questioning lately......betts and rogers showed a little of what they can do. But you cannot fault people for not "buying" into this victory, the dallas victory and then stretch of embaressment is keeping people on their toes. A couple victories in a row....now that might stir up some serious optomism

I was responding to the post above which insinuated that Sonny was available to play in the SB game. I thought it would have more validity coming from Sonny himself. Anyone who's ever seen the NFL Films highlights knows he was on crutches.
