That is terrible. There was about 7 minutes left. Bunch of a bandwagon fans who probably bought tix after we made the playoffs last year. |
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
those people aren't fans, those are called spectatures.
|
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
Honestly around my section not many left after the pick prob. because there were like 7 mins. left but it has happened and its a disgrace to leave early on a game to beat traffic or something else. If I paid for my tickets, damn it, im gonna stay til the end. When the Skins came back and beat Dallas a few weeks back I laughed at the people who left early and missed that amazing ending.

Yeah seriously who gives a shit about traffic. Most people are paying 100ish per ticket, you might as well get your money's worth. |
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
I was at the game and nobody was leaving form where i was
|
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
they left in droves
|
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
eh no one wants to leaves seats that are 7 rows up form the field tho
|
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
That's a shame. Redskins need all the fan support they can get. It's gotten better recently, but a lot of Cowboy fans, Eagles fans, and Giants fans were showing up at FedEx. It doesn't really feel like "home-field" advantage in some games.
|
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
the only game i can complain about this year was the tennesee game there wa sno homefield advantage there. 1/4 isnt bad but its not good enough
|
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
I am so sick of those jerks at Fedex. The posers.

Games vs Philly are like 60:40, it is sick..... |

Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
When I went to the Cowboys game, I swear everyone left after Novak missed the first field goal. I mean there were half of sections leaving all at once. Basically everyone stood up to watch the kick, Novak missed and everyone walked out.
At least me and my girlfriend got to move down to the lower level and we got to watch the end there which was amazing. |
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
No different than the people on the game thread here that were saying game over when there was still 6 or 7 minutes left.

I don't know, I think it's a little bit different. |
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
i dont go often, but when i go, i stay for the entire game. with ticket prices the way they are, why leave?
|
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
You mean like the people sitting next to me and my dad?
They left when Vanderjagt was lining up to beat us in the Dallas game, too. I think they're bad luck. Good riddance. |
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
Of course they are trying to beat the hellatious traffic. With the ravens having a game and all the thanksgiving traffic I'm sure it might have taken some people that did stay 3 hours to get home to some parts of Loudon County.

Of course they are trying to leave early.... BUT.... I am in the upper deck and that walk down after a win is a very exciting thing, and I never want it to end... Everyone is screaming, cheering, high fiving and hugging It's a beautiful thing.... And as long as the walk is I never want to reach the bottom. Hey I have a 1.5 hr drive but It was 2 Sunday WTF I just listened to the post-game show and was very glad I didnt miss the last 6 mins, they were very exciting... IT almost killed me but was great. LOL I was telling everyone ... IF they get this ball back one more time I am gonna have the BIG ONE ELIZABETH.... ANY ONE KNOW THE NUMBER TO 911.... Hail |

Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
I learned my lesson about leaving early...11/10/96. Skins/Cards. Skins were up 34-27. Buddy of mine and I decide, victory is in hand with like 2 minutes left, we'll head for the Metro to beat the crowds. So, since we're both sporting walkmen, it's cool...we can listen to the final seconds on our way to the train. Big mistake. Esaison throws a TD pass with 20 seconds left to tie the game, then after both kickers missed in OT, Kevin Butler hits the game winner with 33 seconds left in OT. By that time, my buddy and I had made our way to the Stadium Armory station, took the train back to New Carrollton, hopped in the car, and were past College Park when the game finally ended.
Ever since then, I won't leave a Skins game early. No matter the score. |
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
I need more clarification on the phrase "leave early"? Is this meant to suggest that a fan attends the game and, before the final outcome is determined, disembodies himself from the stadium? The concept is so alien to me I have a hard time imagining the possibility of this actually occurring.

But hadn't 2 of their previous 3 wins this season been last second comebacks? |

I dont know that the Dallas game was as much of a comeback as it was a dallas f-up. I guarantee that had MB been the QB even more people would have left because he just never seemed like he could pull out a win this season. |

let them go cause when the time comes when we start winning i hope they don,t come back...they missed it we didn,t aka the diehard fan(s). just tell that the bandwagon will run out of room by the time they come back. a bunch of bagonwagon jumpers is all they are. |

Point being though it came down to the wire and we won. |
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
I was in the last row of the upper deck on 50-yard line, and we were shocked by the number of people leaving. From there you could see people heading for the exits by the dozens. If we were down by like 2 TD's I could see it, but come on now, there was tons of time left in the game and our D was playing great.

Assholes! What kind of fans are those???? GRRRRRRRRRRRRR! |
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
its all about the corporation....snyder caters to big spenders, the corps...they buy tons of tickets and give them away...to people who don't care... i mean look how well other teams travel at fedex...there are always tons of opposing fans there...
with 90,000 you ahve to fill the stadium...and you are filling it with less religious fans, and those who can easily afford to spend 100 per ticket- ie not worried about getting their money's worth. |
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
It seems that every home game this year has been a nail biter and won (or lost) in the last 4:00 or so.
Minnesota - missed field goals at the end of the game. Tennessee - [Sorry - I seem to have a complete memory blackout and cannot remember anything about these 3-4 hours of my life, but people tell me it was close all the way to the end] Jacksonville - one of THE most exciting games I have been to at FedEx Dallas - THE most exciting game I have been to at FedEx Carolina - Long pass with ~4:00 to go to finish the game. We had people leave early too. I just don't get it. For the money I am paying I am staying for every last minute. |
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
Well I left early because I my friend wanted to beat the traffic getting back to Beltsville. I understood why he wanted to leave because we had a ride ahead of us. I didn't want to leave and if I had drove I probably wouldn't have left early. After he threw the pick, we were out. He apologized to me in advance that if they come back and win after we left. Listening to the game over the loudspeaker, by the time we finished our trek from section 401 I heard they had the ball so we stopped at the tv's because Washington had the ball. After watching it and looking through the tunnel out to the stands he saw my face and apologozed again. Pissed, I said it's ok because I understood why he wanted to get out. By the time we made our walk to the car the game was over, I then heard about an interception that Sean Taylor made that I didn't see, I just sighed and lit one up and listened to the post game show. My sister is the same way, I love to stay the whole time though because it isn't often that I get to go.
I have a question though, do you all feel the same way about people who get to the game late ? |
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
No sweat! That's one less drunk I have to avoid running over when I'm trying to leave (after watching the game in its entirety) FedEx Field.
I get more annoyed by the Redskin season ticket holders who sell their tickets to the opposing team fans. |
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
I can't speak for season ticket holders because I have never been one. All I had to do was hold the engagement off for another year and I would've had them ! I'm so not a fan ! But if I had season ticket's I would hit every game. I'd be able to be one of those tailgating regulars. Meeting up with the same crew before and after the game. I HAVE to get them before I start having kids....please give me a boy 1st.
Oh yeah back to the topic, I wouldn't give/sell mine to another fan unless they were talking some ridiculous number. Then again, fuck them, they should be Skins fans anyway ! |
Re: Fan's leaving Fedex early
I have been at all the home games this year and at every one some people left early...no matter what the game they always get up and leave early. At the Dallas game as soon as the Redskins missed the first kick they all got up and when Vanderjadt was lining up even more got up and left. There were probably a couple thousand people making their way down the ramps that missed the crazy end of the Dallas game. I see so many people at the games who just treat it as an afternoon out...I can barely peel myself out of my seat after a tough loss and there are other people in Redskins jerseys smiling and walking out as if nothing happened.

I hope these "so called fans" heard the roars in the parking lot of the true fans that remained for each of the past two wins. |

It's rediculous...it's amazing how many of the people in the games don't seem to care. You can't even call them season ticket holders becasue in my section there are only a few people I see every week. There are different people in the seats next to me every week. I don't think the real season ticket holder has been to any of them. |
