Instead of running your mouths about the this coach must go....that coach must go.....how about the players play and make something happen. you people kill me with who's fault it is. players are the ones playing and they're not executing the plays so tell me how its the coaches fault? when we win you people are totally different talk in about how good he did how good they did but lose one look out here comes this coach must go that coach must go...to fukkin funny.

I should specify that when I blame the defense I am not only upset about GW but the players as well.

We are just a bad team this year. Bad at all elements of the game. When you have a bad team, everything seems to go wrong.

The problem is that the coaches are responsible for the personel. All these players that suck were hand picked by Gibbs and Williams.

Yeah the coaches brought these players in, but if they really suck they shouldnt bring the team down THIS much from last year.

The defense has the same coach and alot of the same players. Sure a couple are different, but you cannot blame the entire defense sucking on just a couple of personel choices. They players hold responsibility as well. This also applies to the offense, but the players and coaches get a bit more slack because they are using a new offense.

Look, I agree with you, but all the players are their choice. They either got old and the coaches should have gotten rid of them or the coaches are not coaching well. Either way, I blame the coaches. They have a blank check, and spend more than any one else.

i actually think the problems with the defense boil down to 2 things

1. lemar marshall- he has really struggled coming back from his shoulder surgery
2. springs' injury

wright is terrible in man to man coverage and marshall isnt his normal self coming off the surgery. if they both were healthy i think this defense would be top 15, thats how important they are to the team. the williams defense requires corners to be able to mark man to man, and wright cant do that. without springs it messes the whole defense up. the d-line is rapidly improving as is rogers. fox is actually pretty good at SS and taylor is great

i dont think holdman has been as bad as most people think. hes not great but he hasnt lost us games that i can recall. hes not a difference maker but i dont see him missing tons of tackles

thing is he played worse last year and our defense was better, that is why i think we just need a healthy marshall and springs. fox is playing just as well as ryan clark did last year, those are the differences, and this shows that we need to bring in another linebacker and another cb, other than that i think we are ok unless we bring 1 DE also for daniels

I agee he sucked last year too. I also think the play of the d-line has also effected the play of the linebackers. The linebackers are constantly getting caught up in traffic and unable to shed blockers.

He hasn't been that bad, but you know how people love scapegoats around here. Especially one with a rookie sitting behind him. The unknown guy is always the better option.

It amazes me how people say Holdman sucks, he has played way better than last year..And to be honest he is only in half the plays that Marshall and Washington are in because he comes out on the nickle package and everytime they run that bull shit nickle on third and long the corners and safteys get burnt so do you blame Holdman then when half the plays he is on the sidelines. I think you really need to look at the d-line because it starts with and everytime they mess up it trickles back to the linebackers, cb and so on.

One thing you are forgetting is that players are human. They are not machines. Some players that performed well in the past are just not getting. They are just flat out playing poorly or are injured. These are our "core" guys as Gibbsl likes to say. Those players are:
Springs. Injuries/age are catching up with him. Saw this coming at the end of last year.
Taylor. Very shaky in coverage. Too many personal fouls.
Marshall. He is having a bad year. Shoulder may be the problem. Undersized anyway and should only be a nickel backer.
Washington. No impact plays. Not causing any havoc.
Griffin. No push up the middle.
Daniels. Where has the end of last seasons performace gone?
Portis. Injured
Jansen. Getting pushed around way too much on pass protection. Hell the whole line has been up and down.
Joe S. Looks like age has caught up with him and now Goldston is playing.
Moss. Injured and up and down when he was healthy.
Brunell. Nothing needs to be said.

He has been Ok the last few weeks. But no impact plays. Your weakside backer needs to be more active.

you are right he has not really had any impact plays but the difference for example that I have noticed between him and a player like Washington is that Washington has to do a little dance everytime he makes a tackle and I think Holdmans personality is that he is more reserved and quiet and wants to do his job and does not any extra attention like a Marcus Washington has to have at all times. Holdman is like Lemar Marshall they are both not show boats.

I hate to break this to you but you have no clue. Marshall is having a poor season but he is still light years ahead of Holdman. If they could sign a true middle LB and let Marshall work the outside it would really help. It is not an accident that opposing teams run at Holdman all day long. Do you remember the G-men this year or the first game against them in NY last year?

Holdman is garbage. It isn't his fault, the game has passed him by. Why they don't play McIntosh at this point is unforgivable and just another example of how disfunctional our organization is. The best part is that I would bet my mortgage that McIntosh outplays Holdman in practice. This team pulls more stupid political bullshit than any other team in the league.

Washington is hurt. That is why his productivity is down. When he is healthy he is a stud. To compare Holdman to Washington is ridiculous.
